I’m proud to introduce this year’s iteration of Razzball’s very own draft tool: The War Room. First created by frequent community member and once-contributor: Nico, I’m happy to report that I’ve worked with him to bring this year’s version. You may know the Baseball version, and the Fantasy Football one follows the same general application. Here’s a brief rundown of what this tool can do for you…

  • The “User Input” feature enables customization of league sizes, roster settings, flex settings, and PPR settings.
  • The “War Room” tab summarizes the number of players taken by each team, and ranks each team by position.
  • The “Cheat Sheet” displays players in order of the 2016 Razzball Rankings, fully sortable, of course.
  • The “Projections” tab is a full display of the 2016 Razzball Projections, for those who like more in-depth information.

“Keep in mind, this spreadsheet is not locked, so if you’re an Ex(cel)pert, you can further customize this worksheet as needed. While the War Room is an excellent in-draft tool, I’ve found that a lot of value can come from it post-draft as well. Going back through the draft picks and assigning only the anticipated starters to each team can provide an even more accurate analysis of the league after draft day.” – Nico.

So after the jump, I’m happy to provide the 2016 Fantasy Football War Room!

Note: If you don’t have access to Microsoft Excel, you can simply upload the file into your Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets.

How much does Dez drop with Romo’s injury?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chicken Dinner: I’ll have updated rankings tomorrow morning and some of my opinions on that. I’d say a little. To be perfectly honest, I’m still weighing it…

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Chicken Dinner: Rankings are updated now and post will come out momentarily on this…

  2. Tony says:

Wow. Very useful. Quick comment-Hopkins doesn’t show up in the Cheat Sheet for whatever reason

    • Tony says:
      (link)

Sorry. There’s several players that are much lower than they should be, you need to organize by rank in the left hand column.

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

@Tony: Cool, glad it’s solved. Let me know if there’s any other issues on it.

        • Tony says:
          (link)

Doesn’t look like it’s solved yet. Hopkins, Murray, Marshall and Fleener are all in the 200’s

          • Jay

            Jay says:
            (link)

@Tony: Alright, I’ll take a look at the data and see what’s going on. This will be fixed by tomorrow morning. Thanks for the heads up!

          • Jay

            Jay says:
            (link)

@Tony: Alright, I’ve tracked the coding error and it’s been fixed. I’ll be updating the rankings and projections from Romo’s injury as well, so expect an update later today.

Just in case you want to do it yourself as a temp fix, you can select the left rankings tabs (1-to the end) and then in the input field, paste this: =VLOOKUP(B371&”*”,’Razzball Rankings’!$B$6:$G$225,6,FALSE)

            That should fix it.

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Tony: Special thanks goes to both Nico and Rudy!

    • Jay

@Tony: Alright, re-download, new file should be updated!

  3. Stock says:

This is great. Can you also do the online version. I always have problems with excel. Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Stock: Sure, I’ll do something with google sheets tomorrow.

    • Jay

@Stock: Alright, so here’s a tip Rudy let me know: If you don’t have access to Microsoft Excel, you can simply upload the file into your Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets.

Just wondering if I could get your opinion on my team so I can start looking at trades if need be. 12 team yahoo league, 0.5 ppr.

    QB: Carson Palmer
    WR: Julio Jones
    WR: Mike Evans
    WR: Golden Tate
    RB: Mark Ingram
    RB: Matt Forte
    TE: Delaine Walker
    W/R/T: Gio Bernard
    W/R/T: Emmanuel Sanders
    Bench: Gary Barnidge
    Bench: Kamar Aiken
    Bench: Rishard Mathews
    Bench: Mohamed Sanu
    Bench: James White

Also, I’m currently trying to work a trade:
Julio Jones + Ingram + Barnidge for Odell Beckman + Jamaal Charles, is it too much?

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Eric: I don’t think it’s too much… I am a little nervous about your RB personnel, and I think Charles would solve that. But also just helping your depth is possible too if you want to try some small transactions.

      • Eric says:
        (link)

@Jay: Thanks, I’ll go ahead and try to make some small trades to do just that.

    12 team auction ppr league

    2rb,3wr no flex or idp

Have a great a great start with gurley, ingram, cooper,Watkins for a total of 78$…122$ left

Wr2/3 guys that are left tend to get overpriced and go for 25-30 last year Mike wallace went for 28. Thinking I should just grab top wr and rb available and then build rest of bench through waivers. Would you spend 40-45 a piece on Elliott and cooks and just grab a bargain qb and TE or drop 25 a guy on like a hurns, d Jax

    Top wrs/rbs available

Wr-Cooks, Tate, Moncrief, Sanders, Decker, John Brown, Michael Floyd

RB Elliott, martin, hyde, woodhead, gordon, bernard, foster, rawls, Mathews

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Big league choo: I think that’s fine. I mean, if Mike Wallace went for 30, 45 seems right in line for Cooks. But look, if a guy like Hurns and Jax are for sure there for 25ish, don’t overspend. You can rest easy knowing that if you miss out on those prime targets, there’s value elsewhere.

  6. Blake says:

    Jay,

Thx for doing this – after I input my user settings. it should update automatically? I then have to resort the filter for rank?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Blake: Correct, it should fill the fields for the teams, and then you’ll be able to access the menu on each player in the cheat sheet to assign the players.

@mikeMaher: Yeah, it’s pretty cool, Nico created a great thing here.

  8. Blake says:

whenever you do an update on the rankings I have to redownload the sheet?

    • Blake says:
      (link)

      @Blake:

only reason I ask is I noticed the QB’s are not in the same rank order and your rankings

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

        @Blake: War room updated!

        • Blake says:
          (link)

          @Jay:

Jay – One thing I don’t understand, sorry for the stupid question. I put my user settings and the rank of players doesn’t change? Am I missing something?

          • Blake says:
            (link)

            @Blake:

Also, when I try to sort by the standard pts column from largest to smallest I get a weird N/a response for some players and others are way at the bottom

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Blake: Yes, I usually try to update them at the same time, but the rankings on the war room won’t be updated until tomorrow. I’ll message you here when both are in sync.

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: that’s awesome – thanks Jay! My draft is next Tuesday, so this will be helpful

  9. Blake says:

mine is Saturday so that should work out fine!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Blake: Alright, awesome! I hate to say it, but every update involves a lot of updating data, which takes a little time.

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: would this be the last update, or is there one more after the final preseason game?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@William Hung: Probably, just sent the file out to the tech to get it updated. However, if there’s a specific request or something happens to the rosters or projections, I’ll have another update.

          • William Hung says:
            (link)

@Jay: Do you rate a player much higher compared to ECR like Grey does if you really love a player so I would know to target that player? i.e. Gregory Polanco, Schoop

            • Jay

              Jay says:
              (link)

@William Hung: yeah, you should be able to look at my rankings with the ECR and see just that.

              • William Hung says:
                (link)

                @Jay: Awesome

anyone else having the problem when you hit filter under (standard, PPR, 1/2 PPR) from largest to smallest that you get weird filter? is the user input working?

Anyone else having issues with several WRs having “N/A in their Fantasy Points columns? I have tried downloading a new copy, but it looks the formula is broken.
