Reposting follow-up question from this morning’s post, where you advised giving Mixon for Watkins in 0.5 PPR redraft:

If the trade goes through would you then drop C. Coleman, Quizz or Charles for Smallwood, or hold? As a reminder my bench RBs (behind the 2 DAL backs and L. Miller) would be AP, Charles and Quizz.

      Unbreakable_MB says:

@Steve Stevenson: I don’t think Charles holds much value this year, personally. I’d drop him

@Steve Stevenson: highly doubtful Charles will be relevant , but I’ve been wrong before

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@Steve Stevenson: I actually think Charles can have some value in PPR leagues serving as the passing downs back, but with Booker likely coming back soon, I think you can cut him. It’s likely to be a messy RBBC

  2. Jimmy Jack James says:

Jay, looking forward to all your content in the upcoming season.

I’m in a 14 team PPR that starts 3 WR so the waiver wire is pretty thin. I waited on WR so ended up with Green, Garcon and R.Matthews as starters with R.Woods on the bench (also drafted Gordon in the last round in the event he gets reinstated).

Would you consider picking up Michael Floyd as a stash or stick with Woods, who I don’t like, to start the season?

    Thanks!

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Jimmy Jack James: I’d hold tight with Woods, myself. Neither may be that effective but I think Woods has a clearer path to targets

      • Zach

        Zach says:
        (link)

@Unbreakable_MB: Hold tight with woods and feel really good about Green and Garçon

    My Brady/Fitzgerald for his Cousins/evans

      Zach says:

@SlottySeconds: It depends on the rest of your WR’s, but I’d hold onto Brady and Fitz, especially in PPR leagues

    Hey Jay,

Thank you for everything that you do for us readers.

Had my draft last night 8th pick 12 team .5 PPR. Teams below. How does my team look?

    QB Tom Brady
    WR Brandin Cooks
    WR DeAndre Hopkins
    RB Melvin Gordon
    RB Bilal Powell
    TE Jason Witten
    W/R/T C.J. Anderson
    K Dan Bailey
    DEF Carolina
    BN Pierre Garcon
    BN Donte Moncrief
    BN Darren Sproles
    BN Jamaal Charles
    BN Austin Hooper
    IR Empty

Going by your rankings this should be my week 1 lineup. Let me know if I should switch anyone around.

    Thanks!

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@The Shady KHunt: You’ve got a great team here my man! Although I personally would start Garçon over Anderson. Tough matchup for C.J.

        @Zach: Thanks Zach! Will do.

    Jay,

Jacquizz just hit the wire…drop any of these bench guys for him:

    Bulkhead
    Forte
    J Williams (Gb)

Also stick with KC def this week or go Atlanta or Jacksonville.

Only have 35 moves for the season 12 team std

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Nightpandas: I’d take Jacquizz over Forte. I’d stream Atlanta, not sure if the Texans will turn the ball over as much as the Bears. Evan’s streamer article should come out later today, you should check it out.

    • Tehol Beddict

@Nightpandas: I agree with the gentlemen above me

  6. William Hung says:

Yesssss! I was hoping for this. One question: with so many different ranking posts, should I leave my weekly questions for this post or still in the individual posters?

Also – Younghoe Koo will be the #1 scoring kicker this week. Book it.

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@William Hung: It depends what you’re looking for my man. We wanted this comment section to be a full on discussion from all of our rankers, that way we can find, as the title alludes, consensus. If you want a specific writer’s opinion, I suggest going to their latest post.

    • Jay

Probably Smith, I’ve never been a huge fan.

      • William Hung says:

  9. William Hung says:

    hey guys!

deciding between Riddick, woodhead, duke Johnson, burkhead and j. stew for my 2 RB in a ppr league? which 2 are you going with?

    appreciate it!

    DT

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:

@DT: woodhead and duke johnson for me. Pay close attention to Burkhead’s role tonight for future weeks, good luck!

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

      @DT: SUP DT!!!

I would go with Riddick and Woodhead here, although it’s really close. I echo what MB says about monitoring both Burkhead and Johnson

  11. Toby says:

Hey Fellas – I have some major reservations about starting Hunt tonight. 1st career game. On the road. In New England. Against the Patriots. On Thursday night (which might be the biggest scare of all since Thursday games are usually weird and unpredictable).

Would I be safer rolling with Powell as my RB2 and seeing how Hunt fares tonight? Or should I just fire up Hunt and pray for the best.

    Thanks!

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Toby: I’m personally firing up Hunt and praying for the best,l. He’s a stud. I understand if you’ve start Powell, he may have a better shot at a touchdown.

      • Toby says:
        (link)

@Unbreakable_MB: Holy shit am I glad I followed your advice. Had a moment of terror when he fumbled that first carry but it was all gravy from there. Thanks for your help!

    No love for Younghoe Koo?

Also, your moderators should know that Younghoe is the starting kicker for your beloved Chargers.

    • Richie says:

Apparently you can’t type the new Chargers kicker name without getting your comment deleted. No love for Koo? If I type his first name it’ll get flagged.

    • The Harrow says:
      (link)

@Richie: if you index the fantasy pros guys by only those who were top 30 in kicker rankings last year he’s 22nd this week, so they do like him more than industry standards (well the good ones in the industry anyway, i could care less about guys who weren’t good at it last year). meanwhile starting at least last year (and 2 years ago probably for the most part) jaywrong’s rankings don’t do weird stuff having SD/LAC players way higher (ah la r.matthews/gates/rivers back in the day). proof of this being he got 3rd overall last year, you don’t get that good when you leave homerism in your rankings, unless maybe an ATL homer guy last year.

  14. William Hung says:

I didn’t consider Vance McDonald cause of his alligator arms, but do you think he’s a better TE flier than Kittle or Charles Clay? Pitt offense is amazing and even if he’s the 5th option, he might put up better numbers than these other schmohawks

Not surprised you all clumped my three WRs with crappy QBs in PPR: ARob, Hilton and Garcon. I’ll have to start two and sit one.
With lack of quality targets, does it come down to who benefits from garbage time? Hilton is the only on a team favored to win this week. Curious for thoughts on the outlook of these three for the next couple weeks. I know it is pretty much a coin flip until we see how Shanny uses Garcon and if Bortles has either improved or regressed.

  16. The Harrow says:
    (link)

how long before kerley’s signing were these, he did very well at NYJ last time out in PPR particularly. not saying he’ll light the world on fire here but he’s certainly worth more than most of those guys ranked low.

    • The Harrow says:
      (link)

@The Harrow: and can’t tell this week but how would you guys generally tend to think about humphries TB vs wilson KC in PPR?

      • The Harrow says:
        (link)

@The Harrow: AND he’s inactive this week, so good call even if it was on accident (or timed such that he was on no roster when ranked).
