The NFL keeps on grinding its wheels even when we’re not looking, well, I’m always looking.  Is that wrong? Ok, it is, I know, but I can’t help myself.  Here are some things I’ve been looking at:

NFL Network’s Jason La Confora says the the Ravens plan on retaining Willis McGahee.  This isn’t the best news for Ray Rice and if it ends up being true I will have to move him from #3 to #4 on the rankings.  I know it will hurt his feelings, but there is no crying in fantasy football Ray!

Matt Bowen of the National Football Post looks at the possibility of the Bills trading Marshawn Lynch.  This has some interesting fantasy implications.  If Lynch is traded to a team where he would get the bulk of the touches he will instantly be fantasy worthy and Fred Jackson becomes even more fantasy worthy than he already is.

Mike Wilkening of Pro Football Weekly looks at Donte Stallworth going to the Ravens.  He thinks the Ravens are still in the market for a receiver, especially if they can’t re-sign Derrick Mason.

John Juhasz of Fox Sports lists his top 10 IDP rookies of 2010.

There aren’t many fantasy mock drafts out there so I’m really interested in what people are thinking so I can start mocking them.  CBS Sports.com staff members did a 2010 mock draft that shows me that people are still QB crazy.  And whoever took the Jets’ defense in the 8th round needs to be banned from all fantasy sports writing.

The Redskins believe Clinton Portis still has something in the tank, but I won’t be taking a chance on him this season.

Chris Mortenson says the Chargers are trying to move Antonio Cromartie for a running back.  The Chargers have a lot of questions to answer this off season.

Adam Caplan of Scout.com breaks down the free agent running backs. Chester Taylor is an interesting case and with the right team could become fantasy relevant next season.

R.J. White of NFL Fanhouse looks at who could be the 2010 version of Miles Austin.  I’m liking Devin Aromashodu from his list.

Matt Jones signed with the Bengals.  The guy has/had skills, but I’m not wasting my time with him unless it’s a waiver wire pickup and even then I’m sure I’ll be skeptical.
