In his last four games, Cam Newton has thrown 13 touchdown passes. To put that into perspective, on the season Matt Ryan has 17, Jay Cutler has 16, Alex Smith has 15 and Teddy Bridgewater has 9. Newton leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards (480) and rushing touchdown (7). To put that into perspective, only Devonta Freeman, Adrian Peterson, DeAngelo Williams and Jeremy Hill have more rushing TDs. The only player in fantasy football with more points than Newton is Tom Brady. With an ADP of about 89, and the 12th QB taken off the board this season, Cam is defying the laws of fantasy football motion. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Currently at 13-0, the Panthers are staring at an undefeated season. If I were a betting man, which I am, my money says they make it to 16-0. This week he gets the Giants. The Giants defense is allowing 314.8 yards and 1.8 touchdowns per game to opposing quarterbacks. I think a 4 touchdown game is not out of the question.

In his last four games, Russell Wilson has thrown 16 touchdown passes. To put that into perspective re-read the first couple of sentences in the previous paragraph. With 456 yards rushing he trails only Newton. And after Newton and Brady only Carson Palmer has more fantasy points than Wilson this season. His season average of 253 passing yards and 2 passing touchdowns per game makes him a weekly must start. But you already knew that. I wonder how many owners benched him after his seven week streak of just one touchdown pass.?

It’s playoff season and there’s something I need to vent about. The “Consolation” Bracket, perhaps more aptly named the “Losers” bracket. What is the dog gone damn purpose of this? If you didn’t make the playoffs your season should be OVER. Instead we have teams “competing” in the consolation rounds and while they’re at it, they are picking up and dropping players. These teams are out of contention yet they are able to interfere with actual playoff teams’ ability to pick up free agents. How the flock is the fair? Not only is it unfair, but it’s absolute horse shit. I could possibly understand if there was some penalty for losing the losers bracket and finishing dead last, but our league has no such rule. Or perhaps if it were a keeper league. But again, not the case. And here’s the kicker, when I mentioned it to the league more than half said teams should still be allowed to pickup and drop players even if they are out of contention. You know when I hear when I read those results, “I’m out of that league next year”. Shame on anyone that buys into that bullsh*t. There goes my personal league of 7 years with my buddies. Those of you interested in being in a new league I will be starting next year, hit me up.

Here are some players that I like this week:

Running Back:
Jeremy Hill – I like his matchup with the Niners. My numbers have them as the most friendly defense to opposing running backs when you factor in yards allowed and touchdowns scored.

Lamar Miller, Denard Robinson and Tim Hightower

Wide Receiver:
John Brown, Larry Fitzgerald, Jeremy Maclin, Kamar Aiken, DeAndre Hopkins, Golden Tate and Calvin Johnson

Tight End:
Eric Ebron, Richard Rodgers and Benjamin Watson

How many of you have seen a blueberry fart? If you have not, and you clicked the link to the left, you now have. My two year old daughter thinks it is hilarious. I think that is hilarious. Farts are funny and anyone that thinks otherwise is someone I’m not much interested in interacting with. Good luck in the playoffs!
