Well week 2 is in the books, and many fantasy players’ hopes and dreams have been crushed by the really big fantasy disappointments piling up.  David Wilson?  Should’ve listened to me!  Maurice Jones-Drew? Yikes, what a terrible team.  Roddy White? Dude, he’s killing me too.  Let them take HGH again pro sports!

So how do you get out of the fantasy dumps and either win back your league dues or get back into that winning spirit with an underwhelming RCL team?  DraftKings is here with your fantasy blues forget-me-nows, with huge weekly contests like their SUNDAY QUARTER MILLION contest!  The top winner nabs $25 grand and the other three top winners get awarded tickets into their huge Fantasy Millionaire Grand Finale contest which will wrap up the season on week 17 and crown someone a millionaire.  For playing fantasy football!  If you’re looking for something close to the Razzball Contest we did over at baseball, they’ve got an awesome $20,000 FLEA FLICKER – which is what I played in last week – for only $5 where you can win the top prize of $1,500 bucks and a coveted entry into the Millionaire Grand Finale.  The prizes are huge at DraftKings football so go out and win Razzball Nation some money!

Taking a stroll backwards to last week’s picks:

QB – Terrelle Pryor  15-24  126 Yds  50 Rush Yds (10.04 Pts)

RB – Ben Tate  93 Rush Yds  3 Rec  8 Yds (13.1 Pts)

WR – Calvin Johnson  6 Rec  116 Yds  2 TDs  (32.6 Pts)

FLEX – Jordan Cameron  5 Rec  95 Yds  (14.5 Pts)

TOTAL: 70.24 Pts

Overall, not a terrible week.  I wish Pryor could’ve done more in the Jacksonville game, but it’s not like he really needed to.  Even though they’re one of the league’s worst Ds, I’m not playing QBs against them any time soon as I don’t see them racking up stats.  I did love the value I got out of Ben Tate, allowing me to spend big on Megatron.  I finished 1863 out of 4796 in the $30K Flea Flicker last week – helped out from big games from LeSean McCoy and Dez Bryant – but Pryor really sunk me out of the money.  Here’s who I like for week 3 in DraftKings action (remember I only reveal one QB, RB, WR and Flex rather than giving my whole line-up as I don’t want to give away my entire team since I play too!):

QB – Colin Kaepernick ($8,800) – The Colts have shown they’re having trouble shutting down QBs this year – both from the big rushing game we saw from Pryor and a 300+ passing day from Ryan Tannehill – and Kaepernick fits right into the upside of both with his rushing and passing game.  Looking to rebound from that horrific showing in Seattle, I think the 49ers run up the score against the lowly Colts D.

RB – Stevan Ridley ($4,800) – It’s sure been a bumpy road for all aspects of the Patriots offense, but as I mentioned on this week’s podcast, I think with the long week to get ready and facing the worst defense they’ve seen thus far this year, the Patriots get their shizz together.  With Shane Vereen obviously out a good while, Ridley is the only guy left with Brandon Bolden likely out as well.  I thought Ridley looked good against the Jets and just had absolutely no running room – and he didn’t fumble either.  The deflated price tag has him a big buy for me this weekend.

WR – Julian Edelman ($6,000) – Sticking with another Pat, DraftKings is a PPR scoring format, so all those 4-yard receptions are going to rack up the points for a very fairly priced Edelman.  While I do think Kenbrell Thompkins and Andre Dobson do show us more than we saw last Thursday night, I still think Edelman will get another huge dose of looks.

FLEX – Tyler Eifert ($3,500) – I was really impressed with what I saw on Monday from Eifert, and against the loaded Packers offense, the Bengals are going to have to get pass friendly to keep up.  None of the receivers next to A.J. Green are all that consistent, and Eifert has the upside to have a really big game in this one.  At the discounted price, I don’t think you can go wrong.
