What a weird week. I’m not talking about how the Falcons Devonta Freeman was the only player last week to score more points than Chiefs Kicker Cairo Santos, it was just the fact that HOLY COW DEVONTA FREEMAN WAS THE ONLY PLAYER TO DO BETTER THAN CAIRO SANTOS. At this point, it’s just best to give up and start playing Daily Fantasy Hockey. That’s what I’m doing. Seriously though, Alec Martinez is such a value play. Yes, he’s behind Drew Doughty, but the Sharks’ offense isn’t all that, he’s on the second PP and Defensive Lines and plus, his ATOI was almost close to 20 minutes per game last year! C’etait incroyable! AnyhowI may have said to start Colin Kaepernick last week, but I am very confident in saying that both Carson Palmer and Alec Martinez will eventually make me very happy. I love you Carson Palmer and Alec Martinez. But DFS Hockey isn’t what Jay wants me to do. So let’s do what Jay wants me to do.

New to Daily Fantasy Football? Try out this new free FanDuel’s contest, where half the league is guaranteed to win. (Played on FanDuel before? You can build a team for $5 for a chance of $100,000, part of a one million dollar prize pool!)

This Week’s Tip of the Cap goes to the NFL for not giving two sh*t’s about England. If you didn’t notice, on Sunday at 9:30 am, the New York Jets played the Miami Dolphins. If you also didn’t notice, Everton vs. Liverpool, and Arsenal vs. Manchester United played each other during the NFL game! Jeez Louise NFL, talk about ego! How about this: Have Wembley host an NFL game on Sunday, October 16 (where the only EPL game is Norwich City vs Newcastle United) and not send the Jaguars! You do you NFL, you do you.

Let’s see what last week entailed…

Week 4 Review

Sam Bradford  15/28, 270 YDS, 3 TD’s, 24.20 PTS. Well, at some point, Chip Kelly’s offense would click for Bradford and Co., and this week that came against Washington, even if they pulled away with the win. The offense should start to roll now. I did not write about them, but for those of you who played him, good on ya.

Drew Brees – 33/41, 359 YDS, 2 TD’s, 22.36 PTS, 0.4% Owned. – Well, hopefully you listened to me on the Twitter, and if not, that’s okay, we can still be friends. Everything went well for Brees in this game, and that’s a good thing for me, and possibly, a bad thing for others who did not start Drew Brees.

Karlos Williams – 18 CAR, 40 YDS and 3 REC, 30 YDS. Yuck. What can I tell you? The New York Football Giants came to play. I don’t think this is a week in, week out thing for Williams, I just think that he had a bad game against a sleeper D/ST.

Julio Jones – 4 REC, 38 YDS, 5.80 PTS. Whoa! Holy! What the?!? With him?!?! JULIO?!?! Cheese and rice that was weird. I sure hope this doesn’t continue, or we’re screwed.

Well, that was a very interesting review, so let’s get to Week 5.

Week 5 Preview

Games You Already Knew About Because Tehol Beddict Is Better At Fantasy Than I Am

This week featured the Colts/Texans on TNF, eight 1:00 games, three 4:25 games, SF/NYG for SNF, and PIT/SD on Monday Night. Cool Fact: I’m going to watch the Pats and ‘Boys at Cowboy Stadium. You guys should come see me, and we can chat about how much we love Carson Palmer.

Teams On Bye: CAR, MIA, MIN, NYJ.

Quarterbacks

Sam Bradford, PHI ($7,500) – The Eagles-Saints game has the highest Vegas game total at 49.5 points. Targeting the QB’s in games like these is something you want to do. This is a good thing, for your information. Bradford got back on track last week against Washington, and looks to continue doing well against the Saints. The Saints have given up an average of 258.25 passing yards, and that is a good matchup to exploit.

Philip Rivers, SD ($7,500) – Another QB with a similar price tag as Bradford, Rivers is a great option for those of you who like winning at DFS. The Pittsburgh Steelers have a pretty horrible pass Defense, though it may not show. Plus, although this may sound crazy, people might not be on Philip because it is a Monday Night Game, and why watch a good player when you’re tired when you can easily pick someone else during the day! I know!

Running Backs

Le’Veon Bell, PIT ($9,000) – Yes, he is 9k this week, however he is still the chalk play at running back, due to the fact that other backs don’t have the same floor and upside that he does. San Diego’s rush defense isn’t the greatest, and Bell should do great. Also, he catches passes out of the backfield as much as a WR1 does, and Chargers struggle against pass-catching backs. Just look at Duke Johnson.

Todd Gurley, STL ($6,700) – The workload and volume that Gurley possesses is too much for someone who has a Sub-7k price. Against the Arizona Cardinals, HC Jeff Fisher fed the ball to Gurley 19 times for 146 rushing yards. Against the Packers, he should continue with the workload. If he does, he should do great. Look for him to be somewhat-low owned, and a great GPP play.

BUST ALERT! Devonta Freeman, ATL ($7,600) – Yes, he’s been on fire. However, Washington’s rush defense is fantastic, and their passing game is not. Julio should do great, and Devonta should do alright, but not how he has been since the beginning. Also, his price has been raised by $400 in the last week, and it just isn’t worth it.

Wide Receivers

Julio Jones, ATL ($9,100) – He’s the chalk play at WR due to the fact that Washington’s secondary can’t stop a nosebleed.

Julian Edelman, NE ($7,700) – If you don’t want to pay up for Jones, Edelman is a good substitute. Patriots-Cowboys are tied for the highest point total at 49.5 points, and Brady and Co. should roll. Edelman is a PPR Machine, and this game should be a blowout, at least in the first half.

SLEEPER OF THE WEEK! Willie Snead, NO ($5,300)  Like I already stated, the NO-PHI game has the highest point total according to Vegas, and Snead is a great GPP Punt play this week. Brees has to throw it to someone, and Brandin Cooks isn’t good right now, Marques Colston is old, and Brandon Coleman has yet to live up to the hype. This tweet should say it all.

Tight Ends

Rob Gronkowski, NE ($8,400) – He’s the best, and the game should be a slugfest.

Owen Daniels, DEN ($4,900) – He scored last week, and OAK is the worst at defending TE’s. Look what happened with Gary Barnidge, Tyler Eifert, Martellus Bennett and Crockett Gilmore.

Kicker and Defense & Special Teams

Stephen Gostkowski, NE ($5,000) – Is he worth it? Sure. They’ll score a lot. Do I like Kickers? Sure. Cairo Santos scored a lot.

The New York Football Giants ($4,300) – Dirt cheap, and they did great against Bills Mafia last week.

Alright, that’s my time. Good luck to everyone this week.
