In many leagues, the playoffs have begun. I hope The Stats Machine was able to help you make it this far. Now it is up to you to bring home the hardware. In the meantime here are The Stats Machine’s players of the week.

Hidden Rupees Category 1: Best of the Rest (Weekly)

These are the players that are owned in less than approximately 85% of most leagues that were top performers based on last week’s stats.

Running Back: Tre Mason (33.1 SAV)

If Tre Mason and Boobie Dixon stood in front of each other and drew a line between themselves would it be called the Mason-Dixon line? Mason “The Line” Dixon is actually the main character of Rocky Balboa, the 6th film in the Rocky franchise. Well last week, Tre Mason, aka “Zac Stacy Who”, crossed the goal line 3 times. Twice on the ground and once in the air. On 17 carries he rushed for 117 yards and added 3 catches on 4 targets for 47 more yards. While this was his second game going over 100 yards on the ground, it was his first big fantasy game and he is now the “must add” of the week according to many of the experts. Here’s what the Stats Machine says, grab if you can get him. If you don’t start him at least your opponents won’t be able to either.

Wide Receiver: Kendall Wright (29.45 SAV)

All the Wright moves. Kendall Wright was supposed to be a strong player this season in PPR formats. Well he’s only broken 20 points in a week twice so far this season. That includes last week when he had 7 receptions on 9 targets for 132 yards and a touchdown. With Justin Hunter now out for the season, expect Wright’s looks to go up. Honorable Mention (Eddie Royal 28.3)

Tight End: Coby Fleener (27.6 SAV)

Fleener Fleener chicken deener! And yes, that’s me quoting me. Coby racked up 127 yards and 2 touchdowns last week on just 4 catches. The Stats Machine is mocking me because I had him on my bench. To make matters worse, I started Delanie Walker who absolutely shit the bed. I’ve been flip flopping these two and and just can’t seem to pick the right one on the right week. Fleener has been very good the last few weeks, but his value really depends on Dwayne Allen’s absence. Honorable Mention (Jordan Reed 27.15)

Hidden Rupees Category 2: Best of the Best (Weekly)

These are the best performing players based on last week’s stats regardless of percentage owned.

Running Back: Le’Veon Bell (50.2 SAV)

When I wake up in the morning,
And the ‘larm gives out a warning,
I don’t think I’ll ever make it on time,
By the time i grab my books,
And i give myself a look,
I’m at the corner just in time to see the bus fly by,.
It’s alright ’cause I’m Saved by the Le’Veon Bell.

When someone wants Taco Bell they run for the border. When they want Le’Veon Bell they run for the end zone. Le’Veon Bell carried 21 times for 95 yards and a touchdown. Is that all? NFW! He also had 8 receptions for another 159 yards! According to the Stats Machine this was the single best week of the season for any player. Le’Veon bells. Le’Veon bells. Le’Veon all the way! Honorable Mention (C.J. Anderson 33.2)

Wide Receiver: DeAndre Hopkins (42.55 SAV)

Andre the Giant was known as the 8th wonder of the world to wrestling fans. DeAndre Hopkins is making fantasy owners wonder why they drafted Andre Johnson over him. How’d that work out? Hopkins was perfect, catching 9 of 9 passes thrown to him for a whopping 238 yards and 2 touchdowns. I wonder how many people had him on their bench. I wonder how many will be starting him this week. I wonder why I don’t own him anywhere! Honorable Mention (Calvin Johnson 38.8)

Tight End: Coby Fleener (27.6 SAV)

See above…

The Stats Machine would like to point out that C.J. Anderson has been the best running back since week 10. Good luck to all of you that have begun your championship run. Here are the stats (Downloadable Excel)…
