It’s going to get harder and harder to stream quarterbacks starting this week, as the injury plague is officially upon us.  Here’s hoping that Drew Brees is actually okay, so there’s one less owner looking for a quarterback play this week. Last week, we did well, at least with quarterbacks and tight ends (Alright, Vernon Davis wasn’t that great). Let’s get to it for streamers for Week 3 of the fantasy season…

Quarterbacks

Nick Foles (17%) vs. Pittsburgh — I’ll repeat what I said last week, the Steelers defense is absolutely horrible.  Maybe Brian Quick can get some run this week, but that would be expecting Jeff Fisher to do something that makes sense, and we all know how he is.  Foles is at home, against a bad defense that allowed Colin Kaepernick to put up major points, albeit it garbage time.

I would start Foles over: Tyrod Taylor, Sam Bradford, Matthew Stafford.

I would sit Foles for: Philip Rivers, Andy Dalton, Ryan Tannehill.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (9%) vs Philadelphia — There must be something about the Keystone State with pretty bad defenses.  At least the Steelers have an offense to make up for it.  Even before Vontae Davis went down with a concussion, Fitzpatrick looked good against the Colts.  I’d like him more if Eric Decker was playing, but I’m OK streaming him either way.

I would start Fitzpatrick over: Derek Carr, Blake Bortles, Colin Kaepernick

I would sit Fitzpatrick for: Tyrod Taylor, Teddy Bridgewater, Philip Rivers

How did I do last week?

Tyrod Taylor — 28.98 fantasy points (23-of-30, 4 TDs, 3 INT).

Colin Kaepernick — 26.50 fantasy points (33-of-46, 2 TD).

Tight Ends

Eric Ebron (33%) vs. Denver — Ebron was someone I was keeping my eye on coming into the season.  His touchdown Week 1 was flukey, as San Diego literally forgot to cover him.  Seeing him score in Week 2, though, was great to see.  I’ll roll him out again in his Sunday Night Football matchup against the Broncos.

I’d start Ebron over: Heath Miller, Crockett Gilmore, Ladarius Green.

I’d sit Ebron for: Kyle Rudolph, Martellus Bennett.

Crockett Gilmore (33%) vs. Cincinnati — My Week 1 call on Gilmore came a week early as he stood out last week against the Raiders for the Ravens.  He has a cool name, but he’s also looking like the No. 2 target in the offense for Joe Flacco.

I’d start Gilmore over: Heath Miller, Ladarius Green, Jason Witten.

I’d sit Gilmore for: Eric Ebron, Kyle Rudolph, Martellus Bennett.

How did I do last week?

Kyle Rudolph — 11.50 fantasy points (5 receptions, 30 yards, 1 TD).

Vernon Davis — 8.70 fantasy points (5 receptions, 62 yards).

Kicker

Matt Prater (68%) vs. Denver — REVENGE GAME! Kidding, but you could use the narrative if you wanted because it’s just a kicker.  The Broncos defense is good, but the Lions offense should at least be able to get into field goal ranger a few times.

I’d start Prater over: Nick Folk, Dan Carpenter, Cody Parkey.

I’d sit Prater for: Andrew Franks, Graham Gano, Dan Bailey.

How did I do last week?

Zach Hocker – 1 fantasy point.

Defense & Special Teams

Cincinnati (17%) vs. Baltimore — We saw last weekend what happens when you stream a bad defense just because its matchup.  IT GETS LIT UP.  Thankfully, the Bengals are actually a solid unit, and they face off against a less-than-potent offense in the Ravens.

I’d start the Bengals over: Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams.

I’d sit the Bengals for: Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins.

How did I do last week?

Tennessee Titans — 1 fantasy point
