Well how about that. Some interesting matchups this Sunday, and it only took to the half point of the season to get there. And you know, sometimes I wonder if I’m a bit hard on the NFL, I actually don’t think I’ve spoken positively about the “presentation” part of the sport for quite some time. But then when you actually think about it, I’m pretty sure I should be even more negative. You have deflateghazi, the whole Josh Brown thing, the continuing and baffling crackdown on anything that may look like an emotion on the field, like trying to shoot a bow with an imaginary arrow or taking a picture with an imaginary camera… All of this, of course, has nothing to do with fantasy football, that is unless you prefer watching math develop on ESPN.com instead of watching, you know, the games… so color me a bit mystified as to why the NFL is trying so hard to gaslight us every weekend. On a lighter note, we do get what will probably be the best Sunday Night Football game of the year. Best game if you measure in derps. The NFC East is always the gift that keeps giving, and the greatest gift ever is when it’s the and Eagles and Cowboys. I think the only possibly way to make this even better is to throw the Giants in there for good measure. Have them play from sideline-to-sideline, because why not? Though, even playing the width of the field at 53 yards, McAdoo would still probably have trouble getting to the redzone…

    Standard league.

Do I start Kelley or Thompson? Or hope that gillislee is fine, McCoy is definitely out, and roll with gillislee?

    Thanks

  2. Nick says:
    (link)

I will be down to McKinnon for week 10 with gore/Murray on bye. Every move costs $5. Langford and Montgomery and bibbs are available but I’m not sure they will even play much in week 10. Do any of them have to appeal in a td heavy scoring league? I might have to get 2 if McKinnon doesn’t get healthy for that week.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Nick: I’d go Montgomery there.

  3. MiggyCat says:
    (link)

    Hey bud,

One more for you and thanks for the help as always!

    .5 PPR.

Starting Pryor and Montgomery at WR. Who do I add as my 3rd?

    Diggs vs Chi

    Or

    Moncrief vs KC

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MiggyCat: Sure thing! I think Diggs.

  4. cory says:
    (link)

half ppr, if cobb isn’t a go, bilal powell @ cle or dwayne washington @ hou as a flex?

    • cory says:
      (link)

@cory: or hunter henry, which 2 out of 3?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@cory: I think you go Powell and Washington. I think Gates takes some away from Henry this week.

      • cory says:
        (link)

        @Jay: thanks bro

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @cory: np!

  5. Ryan says:
    (link)

    Good morning!

For a full ppr, I need to start 2 of these 4…

    L. Miller
    J. Stewart
    C. Thompson
    C. Brate

    Thanks for the help!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Ryan: Mornin! I’d go Miller and Stewart there.

  6. Randy says:
    (link)

In a 12-team standard, I have Miller, Jacquizz, Crowell, Gore, Dwayne Wash, and Jordan Howard at RB. Would you drop any of these for Gillislee or Alfred Blue? We start 2 RB and I’m not in need of a starter this week per se.

Also in a 10-team standard, I have Ware, Jaquizz, Miller, Booker, and Howard at RB. Would you drop Howard for Dwayne Washington, Rob Kelley, or Alfred Blue? Again, this move would be more ROS than for this week.

Lastly, in the same 10-team standard league, I have ARob, Cobb, Moncrief, Pryor, and Michael Thomas. Would you drop any for Corey Coleman, Maclin, Edleman, or Coates? We have roster limits, so I cant’ drop from another position; it’d have to be someone from this group.

    Thank you!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Randy: Washington for Gillislee if you need a starter today. Hold if you don’t.

  7. TOGMAN says:
    (link)

    12 team .5 PPR

    QB: Winston
    WR: M. Jones, Crabtree
    RB: Bernard, _______
    TE: Gronkowski
    W/R/T: Sanders
    D/ST: Kansas City
Bench: Rivers, Wallace, L. Bell, McCoy, McKinnon, Fleener, Philadelphia

I need a RB for this week but not sure who to drop. Sproles would be the add.
Should I drop KC, PHI or McKinnon?

KC: @IND, JAX, @CAR, TB, @DEN, @ATL, (OAK, TEN, DEN)
    PHI: @DAL, @NYG, ATL, @SEA, GB, @CIN, (WAS, @BAL, NYG-TNF)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @TOGMAN: I’d drop Philly there.

  8. Blake says:

Cam Merideth or R Kelley in my flex spot?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Blake: Meredith in PPR.

  9. friar says:
    (link)

Better lottery ticket bench stash (0.5 ppr): R Kelley or K Davis?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @friar: Kelley for now.

  10. Zandy says:
    (link)

So schefter says Cobb is likely to sit…
Wait to see if he is inactive and then go Alshon? Or just assume he’s inactive and go JStew?
    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: Wait, but sounds legit. Be ready to go Alshon. Then JStew, yeah.

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

        @Jay: Cobb is a 430pm game
        Alshon is Monday night
        JStew is 1pm
So I can wait until 1245 to decide – so who would you rather go Alshon or JStew?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Zandy: Looks like Cobb is out for sure. I think you go Stew here.

          • Zandy says:
            (link)

            @Jay: thanks will do

            • Jay

              Jay says:

              @Zandy: good luck!

  11. Zandy says:

    Last bench spot
Add josh Gordon – now that he’s out of rehab
    Or add Peyton barber?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: Barber. Not interested in Gordon anymore.

  12. Brian bozz says:
    (link)

    Howdy jay!

.5 ppr for my flex go with Chris hogan (@ buff) revenge game?, Adam thielen at Chicago? Ronnie Hillman at Chicago? Cordarrle Patterson at Chicago? Or Knile Davis at ATL?

Better long term stash Bibbs or James Starks? Thanks man!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Brian bozz: I’d go Hogan there, and I think Bibbs is the guy.

      • Brian bozz says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

Thanks man! I read in Buffalo there’s 50% chance of rain if by 1 it’s rainy & wet are you not starting hogan ?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Brian bozz: I think Patterson if it looks really bad. They were both close to each other.

  13. Project Merkin says:
    (link)

    Jayballs,

Got this trade proposal at 2:00am so I’m thinking alcohol was involved. PPR league. I’m in the middle of the pack (4-3 with mid range points).

My QBs are Jamie’s and Tyrod (woof)
My WRs are Antonio Brown, Ty Hilton, TY Montgomery, Willie Snead

He trades me his Aaron Rodgers and John Brown
For my TY Hilton and Tyrod Taylor

    Do it?

Thanks bruh. Keep up the good work!

    • Project Merkin says:
      (link)

Scratch that, Alshon Kefferey on my current team, not Snead.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Project Merkin: Those are the best kind of deals. Andrew Luck for Bobby Rainey WOOOOOO.

And yeah, I think you do it to upgrade your QB. Big step back with Brown, but I’m assuming he’s a bench piece for you?

      • Project Merkin says:
        (link)

@Jay: yeah so now I’ll have brown, Montgomery, and Alshon with Davonte Adams, brown, and tavon Austin on the bench.

        Boom traded.

  14. Allan says:
    (link)

    Jay,
I’ve got demarco and the guy who has henry just offered me Meredith and Henry or Garcon and Henry for Michael Thomas. My other receivers are julio, amari cooper, and maclin. Should I do it to handcuff demarco or is Thomas too good to give up?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Allan: Yeah, I like that deal for you.

      • Allan says:
        (link)

@Jay: Cool. You like Meredith or Garcon better? He also has fuller that I might be able to get though he may not be willing to trade fuller.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@Allan: I think you’re fine there. I like Meredith long term this year.

  15. Gio says:

    • Gio says:
      (link)

@Gio: or Snead vs sea or Lamar miller? Miller scares me today

    • Jay

      Jay says:

      @mH: Moncrief and Miller.

  19. Funk says:
    (link)

Need a win to stay in the playoff picture and I checked the flex rankings but still wanted to ask; do we like Adams or Gillislee better for half ppr? Gillislee burned me last week and last report was they are going with hot hand approach for the game vs NE. Also I’m afraid that GB will be looking to get Nelson going again after a quiet few weeks and force him some extra targets. There is shootout potential there however. Thanks for your time!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Funk: yeah, go for the ceiling here then. Adams.

  20. MJP says:
    (link)

Do I trade Antonio Brown for Ezekiel Elliott? I feel like I’m under-valuing Brown in that trade, but given ARob is sitting on my bench (though that’s probably where he belongs) I am wondering if it’s worth it…

  21. Joedogg says:
    (link)

In my standard scoring league I was thinking of using a strategy of getting Jordy, Montgomery, and Adams in my lineup today. I’d have to bench Marvin Jones. I just know that the one packer I bench will be the one with the big game. What do ya think?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Joedogg: might make you miss out on Jones. I’m okay with it if you want to take the risk, but if its5my team, probably getting Jones in there for Adams.

      • Joedogg says:
        (link)

@Jay: thanks man… with Cobb out think I’ll go for it. It’s a case of hedging my bets, which isn’t usually my style. Team I’m playing is dealing with a lot of byes, seems like a good play in a hopeful shootout

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

          @Joedogg: nice, good luck!

  22. Jerry says:

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Jerry: totally. IF I got space, I’m going for it.

  23. Tsilaeri says:
    (link)

Do you think Donte Mon’s snaps will be limited this week?
Still thinking whether I should start him or CMeredith.
I don’t like CMeredith because Hoyer’s down and he doesn’t seem healthy either.

    Thanks for the ranks anywayz!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Tsilaeri: I’d feel okay going Moncrief here.

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:

  29. friar says:

Choosing between Miller and Maclin at my flex (0.5 ppr). Your rankings say Miller (44 vs. 54), but given that there’s been a lot of concern about Miller flying around this morning and I’m not sure how quickly you update your rankings, I wanted to check and see if you would still advocate Miller here. Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@friar: updated earlier, but yeah, they are close enough to gamble.

  30. Wide Right says:

    • Jay

  37. Bag man says:
    (link)

    Hello jam master jay!!

.5 ppr league ty Montgomery is out, cobb is out. Is jeff Janis or even Knile Davis worthy of flex ? I’m thinking Knile since I know now Montgomery won’t steal carries/catches but want your thoughts, also debating between Ronnie Hillman at chi town on Halloween who I’m sure will be involved or C-Patterson at chi town as well?

PS speaking of tomorrow’s Halloween game check out/look up Ronnie hillmans cleats for Halloween they are spooky

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Bag man: Sup! Thinking Patterson there, I just switched them out in one league.

  38. friar says:

Sounds like Ty Montgomery is out today. Would you recommend Asiata or Knile Davis in 0.5 ppr?

    • William Hung says:
      (link)

@friar: FML – I can’t even replace him so now that’s a 0… my bad luck is just piling on at this point – I mean everything I read was that he was set to play today

      • friar says:
        (link)

@William Hung: Yeah. Everything I saw seemed to dismiss the illness as nothing to worry about.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @friar: I think Asiata there.

  39. Nick says:
    (link)

trying to find a replacement for Ty at WR…options are Patterson (still in concussion protocol) or Janis?! Ugh, I’m in trouble this week, not many options on waivers for later games in this 12 teamer…any deep league suggestions beyond those 2?

    • Nick says:
      (link)

@Nick: Terrence Williams available as well, as you would expect in 12team..

      • Nick says:

          @Nick: Agholor…

    • Jay

      Jay says:

    Flex Knile or Alshon?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Joedogg: Kniles here.

  42. Zandy says:
    (link)

    Wtf happened to mark Ingram?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: They’re saying pulled for a fumble. Not sure what the thinking is, he has like what, five career fumbles?

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

@Jay: as Hightower gets stuffed in goal line. Nothing like sacrificing winning to make a point….

        • Jay

          Jay says:

@Chicken Dinner: Yeah, same deal. I think if this is the case, leaning Ajayi.

        • Chicken Dinner says:

@Chicken Dinner: Or Matthews for Ajayi?

          • Jay

            Jay says:
            (link)

@Chicken Dinner: I’m fine with that too. I think Jones might be the asset to sell highesh on.

              @Jay: Thanks Jay

            My lineup for this am
            Ingram ware Cobb Montgomery hahahaha
            Talk about unexpected bad luck
I mean I swapped out the packers but still

              Jay says:
              (link)

@Zandy: Yeah, the Packers thing screwed me over, have Cobb and Monty in that Podvader league. The Ingram thing is mystifying. Not even sure how legit it is he got benched for one fumble.

              • Zandy says:

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@RonnieMatt: Ertz, but it’s really close. Gates is going to take some targets.

      • RonnieMatt says:
        (link)

@Jay: Yeah thats where I’m leaning as well. In a different standard points league, with ty out I need a flex.Do you like Knile, Benjamin, Asiata, or either chicago back (carey howard)?

  46. Nightpandas says:

Stick with packers d or go with Bears, Falcons or Chargers, I’m in a tight battle

    • Jay

  47. Green machine says:
    (link)

Grr I need good fantasy vibes on me side, lol so far not my day getting blown out 97.5- 19. He only has gates & Julio left. I have matt Ryan, Melvin Gordon, Emmanuel sanders, Kyle Rudolph, mason Crosby, defensive player Eric Kendricks, and flex is cordarrle Patterson too

It’s been an odd fantasy day 0 points from Hilton, DJ was bottled up,

He has Amari Cooper & lol cooper has been on fire

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

Vibes sent! Good news is, you have a lot of spots still to go. What you need here is a good game from Ryan, and for Gordon and Sanders to show up and that should get you close. Wild card is Patterson. I had to emergency start him for Ty Mont today… so we’re rooting for the best cast here…

      • Green machine says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

What is helping me even though I have a deficit he started Ingram & got negative 2 points

Woah I’m watching this TB/OAK janikowski missed in OT, if this game ends in tie would you think in the offseason the NFL would change OT rules?

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: Rotoworld has him as the #1 Waiver add this week, and as a desperate RB owner who is going to be 2-6, I might as well since I’ve missed on every single RB including choosing Chris Thompson over Rob Kelley.

        • Jay

          Jay says:

@William Hung: Yeah, he’s a must add, just nothing that gives me the tingles.

    Sup Jay,
I’ve got this new strategy wherein I get hammered with my friends & work out trades(always dangerous, but my tolerance is redonk!). Evaluate if you would, this sweet action. 12 team PPR
    Pre-trade
    Brady
    AJ/Evans/Hilton/BMarsh/Moncreif/Montgomery
    Demarco/Gurley/Forte/McKinnon/Dion on IR
    Delanie

I shipped Moncreif/Hilton/Gurley/McKinnon for McCoy & Julio. I figured I get the best WR & RB in the deal, plus I’m going to have to drop someone soon when Dion is off PUP.(But again, I’ve crushed untold beers & several pooty-tangs.) I’ve got 2nd waiver and Hurns just got dropped before he played Thurs, plus I’ll be able to pick up a Coleman lottery ticket. Should I stop drinking, or continue damaging my liver for fantasy greatness?
Appreciate you as always, my brother!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@jayhawks24: I like that trade… it’s bol, but you consolidate your production. Always drink is what I say. Thanks for the kind words man!

        @Jay:
        Thanks, man, and go Bolts!
We could use some help here in KC with the freakin’ Broncos!

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@jayhawks24: Haha, thanks man, only the Broncos can bring together Chiefs and Chagers fans!

  53. William Hung says:
    (link)

So that dart throw on Knile Davis was a miss – how do you feel about Antone Smith?

I’m looking at 2-6 – is it time trade guys at a discount who won’t help me Week 9? I’m looking at AJ Green & Edelman. I don’t know what else to do cause if I hold on to them, I’m most likely losing Week 9 since I gotta play DeVante Parker and Ty Montgomery who apparently was hiding a kidney issue all week. Or is it time to just go down with the sinking ship?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@William Hung: Well, nothing to gain by giving up. Baseball season just ended… in terms of Smith, eh. I’m eh on him. Barber is the upside guy there, so I’m not sure where Smith fits in the picture, even though he can pass catch.

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: Sure Barber has upside but he was outsnapped by Smith 22-3 today

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@William Hung: Right, just depends on what you’re looking for. Smith will always be somewhat middling.

      • William Hung says:
        (link)

@Jay: Not sure what the strategy is to proceed now – I have 2 main guys on bye with AJ Green and Edelman and Stafford facing the Vikings. Do I trade my top guys on BYE for best available from my league mates?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@William Hung: I’d say probably give it a try if this is the line. I wouldn’t go super crazy, but let’s see what’s out there.

          • William Hung says:
            (link)

@Jay: I missed out on Davante Adams too – the list goes on with all these missed opportunities. Gotta switch up my strategy again next year.

          • William Hung says:
            (link)

@Jay: do you recommend that I drop Stafford for a streamer QB?

            • Jay

              Jay says:
              (link)

@William Hung: Haven’t looked at the matchups yet. What’s out there FA wise?

    (link)

Hey, Jay! Do do you like Fuller, Floyd, JJ Nelson or Kendall Wright ros? Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:

@Jerry: Yo! I’m going to go Nelson, Fuller, Wright, Floyd here.

    Martin or Lewis?

@Chicken Dinner: Throw Coleman in there too.

      • Jay

@Chicken Dinner: Sticking with Lewis, but Martin is close.

    • Jay

@Chicken Dinner: Lewis at the moment, just because he feels closer.

  56. Zandy says:
    (link)

Who you got tmw night? Alshon or Viking defense?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Zandy: Eesh, that’s actually a surprisingly tough question. I kinda want to go Vikings Defense here…

      • Zandy says:
        (link)

        @Jay: sadness….
One Alshon TD tho would make it hard to overcome…

        • Zandy says:
          (link)

          At least that’s what I tell myself….

          • Jay

            Jay says:
            (link)

@Zandy: Right, it’s a good point, but what if the Bears offense keeps faltering? Vikers are pretty stout. It’s a tough one.

  57. Mantis Tobaggan MD says:
    (link)

for dynasty standard leagues as a backup with upside spot (already have zeke/morris/d-will (PIT)/booker/melgor/gillislee) this order bout right: d.lewis/rawls/gillislee

  58. Mantis Toboggan MD says:
    (link)

have wright, sanu, jj nelson or woods moved ahead of meredith now? don’t need meredith this week, so it’s not about byes. PPR redraft.
