Another above average week (that’s what she said), but we haven’t had a finish this year, besides Week 1, that really shifted the numbers up. From what the accuracy breakdown shows, we’re still have some trouble gauging running backs (and to a lesser extent, DSTs), but getting a better ranking for quarterbacks is another goal, something that wasn’t a worry just a few weeks ago. Our IDP results are pretty strong I’d have to say, this being the first year I’ve specifically provided those, and I’m sure now knowing who Yannick Ngakoue is will benefit my life in some manner or form.

The overall trends are still looking okay, and we’re moving up gradually back nearer to the top-20’s where I generally assume these rankings will separate our community results from other sites. While there’s still a lot of football left, the fantasy playoffs are drawing closer and closer and we should all have a sense of whether or not we have a team that can move forward. After a few weeks of solid results and hanging out in the top-20’s, another middling week returns. While this happens about three times a year on average, I can admit that last week was pretty bizarre for me. I joked in my review that the only thing I did learn from Week 5 football is that I don’t understand football, but perhaps there’s a foundation of truth there. Running backs still confound me, almost as much as Joe Flacco’s eyebrows. And while the season, especially the Fantasy Football season still has a ways to go, playoffs should be on everyone’s mind…

And it looks like we’re back in our usual groove, as Razzball moved from a middling 76th place showing in Week 2 to 29th overall in Week 3. That moves us into the top-quarter of all experts (at 24th overall on the year) as we move into the quarter mark of the football season. So many quarters, so little pay phones! (I have no idea, do pay phones still exist? And if they did, why not just go to an arcade with all those quarters? Wait, do arcades like that still exist? This whole aside makes me feel old.) I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out the clinic our very own Rudy Gamble is putting on, landing 5th overall so far this year and having another greet week, finishing 18th in Week 3.
