Here are your top 40 or so quarterbacks in the National Football League (as said by that NFL Films guy).  I feel the top 3 are fairly interchangeable which means if you want to grab one of them, grab the third dude.  You know I’m a Cutler guy for his value and a Big Ben guy for his backupitude value.  I’ve got a “My Perfect Draft” post coming up which will probably have those two living in it.  Here are the 32 QBs I believe will at least start the season as the starters.  The rest are a hodge podge of back ups and dog killers.  On to the rankings:

Whoops, I mean, if you haven’t joined our Razzball Commenter Leagues we’ll be taking new players until the season starts.  Just put your info in the comments.  It’s free and you get a chance at a cool trophy from Fantasy Sports Trophies!

Now onto the rankings. I promise!

Kudos for ranking Kolb in the top 10. Have not seen Kolb on too many top 10 lists. I believe he is in a good system to be a top 10 fantasy QB.

@Rob: Agreed. He’s been groomed for the job and it’s not like McNabb wasn’t inconsistent and he still hovered in the top 10 range.

I was planning on taking my talents to South Beach this fall, but I guess I could play in the commenter leagues instead. Please send me the info to:

You have Cutler throwing 29 tds…who’s catching them? I like him to have a bounce back year but I was hoping for an off-season WR pickup. Apparently the Bears were more focused on their defense.

I’m shocked that you have Flacco behind Kolb, Ryan, and a non-commital 40-year old. All the other talking heads have him above Cutler and the rest of the above mentioned. His surrounding personnel (et Bolden) and year over year improvement suggest he be higher as well. What is your reasoning?

I think you’re a little too hard on Hasselbeck. Yeah, he’s now two coaches removed from Holmgren and his system, not to mention creaky and fragile, but last year was a total wash, whole team was mailing it in with Mora. I expect Carroll to realize pretty early on that his ‘best’ offensive personnel are in the passing game, and for Hasselbeck to crack the top-20.
