Welcome to Week 13 all you crazy Razzballers. It’s been a fun season so far. There were lots of not so fun injuries but lots of guys stepped up and hopefully you grabbed a few of them. I am thankful for DeMarco Murray, Timothy Tebow, Cam Newton, Kevin Smith, Laurent Robinson, and Antonio Brown scattered about on my teams and some other dudes as well. Overall I’m not having great seasons but good enough to have some playoff bound teams and in the leagues I care most about. And of course there is always FanDuel to play which I’m addicted to. If you want to Duel me just white glove slap me in the comments.

Good luck everyone! I hope all your players exceed expectations!

Through 11 games let’s see how some quarterbacks stack up to the single season records. The first name will be the record holder and then the current leader and how they project out.

Completions: Peyton Manning 450: Drew Brees 323 –> Proj: 469.81

Attempts: Drew Bledsoe 691: Drew Brees 460 –> Proj: 669.09

Passing Yards: Dan Marino 5,084: Aaron Rodgers 3475 –> Proj: 5,054: Drew Brees 3,589 –> Proj: 5,365

Passing TDs: Tom Brady 50: Aaron Rodgers 33 –> Proj: 48

QB Passer Rating: Peyton Manning 121.1: Aaron Rodgers through 11 games 127.7

Completion Percentage: Drew Brees 70.6%: Aaron Rodgers through 11 games 71.8%

Rookie Passing Yards: Peyton Manning 3,739: Cam Newton 3,093 –> Proj: 4,498

Rushing TDs: Steve Grogan 12: Cam Newton 10 –> Proj: 14.5

Rushing Yards: Michael Vick 1,039: Tim Tebow 418: IF he’d started 16 games —> 1,114

Drew Brees came just 15 yards from beating Marino’s record in 2008. It will be interesting if he can keep up the pace this year. It would put him 1st and 3rd all time which ain’t too shabby.

It’s fun watching Cam Newton put up the season he is. I’m no draftnik so I’m not going to fault anyone who thought he would suck but I sure do give props to the Panthers for taking him #1 overall. He of course has a long way to go to be as good as Peyton Manning, whose record he should break, but he will finish his rookie season with a better completion percentage and QB rating that Manning did his rookie season. And at 22 years of age he has a ton of time to get better.

Of course Aaron Rodgers is the guy and the guy behind the guy and that other guy too. He’s on pace for 5k yards and to set the record for completion percentage and QB rating. And that 48 TD pace isn’t too shabby either.

Tim Tebow’s numbers are always fun to look at. He also would be on pace to shatter the rushing attempts by a QB record. And the low totals of yards passing and completion percentage for a starting QB would probably project to be a record as well but hey he is what he is.

Of course these projections don’t take into account these guys might see limited action in week 17 but hey, it’s still fun to take a look.
