    From Around The Web

    1. Damion says:
      (link)

      Doc,
      I have Matt Ryan starting at QB
      For RB, which two do I start??? Bush, Mccoy, mike bell, ray rice??
      at WR, WHICH two, austin, bowe, floyd, murphy?

      and at flex: who out of the remaining guys would you favor?

    2. Angelo Brown says:
      (link)

      Ok I have a dilemma. Tom Brady is on a bye, so my starting lineup is Flacco, MJD, Ray Rice, Mark Clayton, Anquan Boldin, Ryan Torain, Antonio Gates, Mike Nugent, and the Panthers “d”. My question is I have L.T., Brandon Lloyd, Spiller and T.O on the bench should any of them replace anybody in my starting lineup? Also should I start the Saints “D” over the Panthers “D”

    3. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @Damion: Rice and Bush

      @Angelo Brown: I think you are good. I would start NO. I just don’t see Max Hall not throwing a pick or 3.

    4. Angelo Brown says:
      (link)

      Appreciate it as always.

    5. Hennessey says:
      (link)

      We think alike this week. I have Manning, Gore, and Roddy as my picks this week. So what’s the total score of MNF?

    6. mike says:
      (link)

      So you have A. Peterson rated 3rd and the Jets D 4th. Do you think AP will have that good of a day against the Jets D?

    7. Damion says:
      (link)

      Doc, what about my WRs and Flex???

      I have to choose from Miles Austin, Dwayne Bowe, malcolm floyd, and louis murphy?
      and flex: the 2 left out of WR or mike bell/lesean mccoy?

    8. Cullen says:
      (link)

      I need to drop one player from my team in order to pick up a kicker and have a legal lineup. Which player do you recommend dropping

      QB Aaron Rodgers
      QB Brett Favre
      RB LT
      RB Deangelo Williams
      RB Jamaal Charles
      RB Javhid Best
      WR Steve Smith (Car)
      WR Mark Clayton
      WR Percy Harvin
      WR Eddie Royal
      WR Mike Williams (TB)
      WR Hines Ward
      WR Brandon Tate
      WR Dez Bryant
      TE Aaron Hernandez (Bye)
      TE Ben Watson

    9. Cullen says:
      (link)

      Oh and its a ppr league (1 point per reception) and there are 6 pts per passing td and no points for return yardage

    10. hideousmutants says:
      (link)

      Kolb and Bradford are both high in your rankings. I was set to start Flacco but Kolb and Bradford are available in my league. The worst players on my roster are

      McNabb (3rd QB behind Big Ben and Flacco)
      Santonio Holmes (5th WR behind Wayne, Colston, Randy Moss, Floyd)
      Titans D (behind Cincy and I’m keeping them to start against Jags next week)

      Is the bump from Flacco up to Kolb or Bradford big enough to drop one of those guys and put them in for Flacco?

    11. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @Hennessey: Hah

      @mike: Yeah, it’s tough. I see AP as the main guy in that game.

      @Damion: Austin, Floyd or McCoy if he plays.

      @Cullen: Ben Watson

      @hideousmutants: I think Kolb will be pretty safe in that offense, but Bradford/Flacco has a bit more upside.

    12. Damion says:
      (link)

      so austin and floyd at WR??? AND at flex ….mccoy??

    13. Drew Crew says:
      (link)

      in a 1 ppr league would you still start Jamaal charles over Jahvid best?

    14. John says:
      (link)

      Hey Doc,

      Followup from last time: Benson and Maclin for Ray Rice, I get Rice. Welker/Steve Smith (Car)/Lloyd as my receivers. Gives me Gore/Rice/Bradshaw at flex

      Thoughts?

    15. Ken Plane says:
      (link)

      Both H. Ward and Hernandez on waivers, which would you think will have more effect going forward, non ppr.

    16. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @Drew Crew: I would lean Best

      @John: Hmm, wouldn’t love needing to rely on Lloyd all season.

      @Damion: Misread. Yeah, Bell if McCoy doesn’t go.

    17. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @Ken Plane: I think Ward, but it depends on your starters at WR and TE.

    18. Ken Plane says:
      (link)

      Wr – Jennings, S Smith(NYG), Bryant, Bowe, and Holmes, TE – Cooley. My roster as it presently stands. Ward or Hernandez

    19. G.O.B. says:
      (link)

      Non-PPR, should I roll with Ahmad Bradshaw (assuming he’s healthy) or Nicks?

    20. G.O.B. says:
      (link)

      I meant to say at flex spot, if it’s not clear.

    21. Damion says:
      (link)

      Are the Pats going to get vincent jackson?? if not, would you pick up brandon tate??? and if so, who would you drop from this roster:

      Vick M.Ryan
      Mccoy bell rice mbush lynch
      austin floyd bowe murphy
      kellar
      bryant
      cinci D

    22. Donald87 says:

      Drop Hightower in a PPR for FJones?

    23. uncleM says:
      (link)

      happy week 5 Doc,

      im lookin at a few waivers..wondering who you think will have the most value for the upcoming weeks n or season. Or if i should just plug in a Garcon since my wr 3 is walter or Dez.

      Tate
      Blount
      Garcon
      Bush

      u got me interested in Garcon with his ranking this week.
      im just wondering if hes gonna see alot of snaps and targets.

      thanks,

    24. Cole says:
      (link)

      Hey Doc, flex spot 1 pt ppr Randy Moss with a new team against a good D or McCoy with a cracked McRib? Thanks, dude.

    25. herschel says:
      (link)

      Doc: 12 team PPR, with mcfadden likely out, who do you like at flex?

      crabtree vs phi
      blount @ cin
      housh vs den

      thanks.

    26. Sol says:
      (link)

      Max Hall I assume would be #27 on your list lol

    27. dja says:
      (link)

      apologies for the repost:

      so i am absolutely f’d at RB in one league with mendenhall out and also owning knowshon and mcfadden (my only viable back is ryan matthews).

      the puke that i can choose from is:
      ladell betts
      mike bell
      lagarrette blount
      rashad jennings
      chester taylor
      kevin smith

      what do you recommend, oh wise one? should i just bench everyone and chalk up the loss?

    28. Sol says:
      (link)

      Also what do you think of Arrelious Benn this week?

    29. cards4ever says:
      (link)

      Benson, Tolbert, Michael Bush (waivers), Torain (waivers), Moreno

      I’m thinking of starting Benson and Tolbert.

      Thanks in advance.

    30. cards4ever says:
      (link)

      @cards4ever: standard league 6 players.

    31. daniel p says:
      (link)

      Mark Clayton is ranked higher than Randy Moss and I weap.

    32. hankg says:
      (link)

      With Vick hurt, I’ve got Snachez starting at QB with Favre sitting on my bench. Kevin Kolb’s available on the FA wire. Would you start him over either guy?

    33. andrew says:
      (link)

      Trade offer:

      I give Mcfadden i get santonio holmes
      Current team
      RBs – Shonn Green, Mcfadden, torain, kuhn, maroney
      WRs – Mason, Harvin, Jacoby Jones, Royal Amendola,
      Go for it?

    34. 24hourjack says:
      (link)

      If McCoy cant play this wk,Im left w/ Hightower and McGahee……..

      who to start?

    35. Pepe Silvia says:
      (link)

      assuming Collie is a scratch, would you start Garcon over The Daily Show at flex?

    36. 24hourjack says:
      (link)

      sorry about the previous comment,i forgot I could have just checked the rankings,but anyway…….

      how much value do you see in Dexter McCluster going forward?……..

      for the upside,is it worth dropping Manningham?….

      how ’bout McGahee?

    37. MrR8DER says:
      (link)

      Okay – Non PPR Should I make this trade?

      Give – Best, Collie & V Davis
      Get – Lloyd, Finnley & Desaun Jax

      I am not feeling best lasting the season – & I ove Finnley

      Your thoughts, as always, appreciated.

    38. Chris says:
      (link)

      For my flex position?
      – Michael Bush (w/ mcfadden out this week) at home
      – Steve Smith (NYG) on the road
      – Dustin Keller at home

      I’m honestly torn. Smith is up against the worst pass defense, but on the road with Nicks and Manningham. Keller is up against minnesota which has shut down TE’s and holmes is back, yet we know he is targeted a decent amount. And Bush is healthy with Mcfadden out.

      Which one would you ride in week #5 for flex position (non-ppr league).

    39. Principal Blackman says:
      (link)

      Would you start Beanie Wells or Pierre Garcon at flex this week? I’m leaning towards Pierre, but they’ve both been such injured, non-factors for their teams so far this season, that I can’t make up my mind. And don’t even get me started on Crabtree, who is riding the pine on my team until further notice.

    40. Pepe Silvia says:
      (link)

      @MrR8DER: I would definitely NOT do that trade. Collie could definitely perform about as well as DJax from here on out depending on how much Kolb has to start, and I think Finley and Davis are pretty much a wash. But Best >>>>>> Lloyd, and you should be able to get much more for him.

    41. Principal Blackman says:
      (link)

      Oh and it’s a non-ppr league.

    42. TJ says:
      (link)

      Really torn this week between Rice & Best to start behind Foster (non-ppr) – despite showing up for practice, can’t figure if there’s still injury issues

      D/St – Carolina or Cincy? Both hard to be confident about right now…

      Also – do you think B Tate is worth a speculative pickup this week (would need to drop Brandon Lloyd – 5th wr, we start 2)

      Thanks

    43. Wilsonian says:
      (link)

      Ok, 0.5 PPR league.

      My RBs are: CJ2K, Hillis, DMC and Best
      MY WRs are: Wayne, White, Marshall, Boldin, Holmes, Tate

      I’m looking for a slight upgrade at RB. What kind of back do you think either a combo of Boldin/Holmes or Holmes/Hillis or Holmes/DMC could garner, or what should I be shooting for?

      Turner? Mendy? Rice? Bradshaw? Gore? JC? DeAngelo? LT? McCoy?

      Much obliged!

    44. timSTi says:
      (link)

      @Doc: Need to start 2 of these 3:

      Knox, Bowe, or Beanie.

      Thanks!

    45. ProBeez4 says:
      (link)

      Doc – D/ST – I have Baltimore and Atlanta on my roster. Baltimore has been awesome but yielding very little fantasy points. I see you have them all the way up at 2nd despite playing a decent offense in Denver.

      I had planned to start Atlanta, since they are playing Cleveland, but the disparity in your rankings has me second guessing myself.

      Any thoughts?

    46. Ken Plane says:
      (link)

      Doc – Trade offer – I give Mendy, Cooley and Holmes for S. Jackson, D. Clark and S. Smith (CAR).
      My current roster:
      RB- Mendy, MJD, Blount and Forte
      WR- Jennings, S. Smith(NYG), Bryant, Holmes and Ward.
      TE- Cooley

    47. Pepe Silvia says:
      (link)

      @Ken Plane: I think at best that’s a lateral move for you. You’re giving up the best player in that deal, which is rarely a good thing, and I don’t think the upgrade from Cooley to Clark outweighs the downgrade from Mendy to SJax. Given Smith’s injury plus his complete ineffectiveness the past couple of weeks too, I don’t think you can say he’s an upgrade on Holmes either.

      Hines Ward is a FA in my league. I’m pretty set at WR (we play 2 + a flex) with Austin, Fitz, Nicks, Crabtree, Harvin and Floyd, so I certainly don’t need him. Would you drop any of those guys for Ward? Thanks.

    49. Matt Leinart says:
      (link)

      A related question: I have WR depth, and I also have Big Ben, Schaub and Favre. Am I giving up too much if I package Austin, Fitz or Nicks + Schaub for a top 10 RB? Not enough? I’m thinking of targeting Mendy, Rice and Turner in that order (I assume I’m not getting CJ, AP or MJD).

      I have Foster, Torain, Beanie and Green-Ellis and would like to upgrade that group.

      Amendola or Crabtree in PPR? Also, sounds like PT is out, what are your projections for Betts and Ivory as far as touches and receptions? Thanks.

    51. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @Ken Plane: Ward

      @G.O.B.: Bradshaw

      @Damion: If the D is expendable, them. Doesn’t look like VJax is going to the Patriots.

      @Donald87: Yeah

      @uncleM: Collie has been hurt. That’s why he got the bump. I’d roll with him.

      @Cole: I’d lean Moss with mcCoy’s mcriblet.

      @herschel: Close, but leaning Blount

      @Sol: hah, yeah

      @Sol: Need to see something out of him first.

      @cards4ever: I’d go with Bush over Tolbert. i think Mathews gets the start.

      @daniel p: Hah

      @hankg: I would

      @dja: If mcCoy doesn’t go, Bell. If he does, Blount.

      @andrew: Ugh, close, but i think you need to hold on to mcFadden there.

      @24hourjack: Hightower

      @Pepe Silvia: Yeah

      @24hourjack: Unless you are in a return league I’m not high on McCluster. McGahee and Manningham are about equal. Depends on what you need.

      @MrR8DER: It’s close, but I like the Best side.

      @Chris: Bush

      @Principal Blackman: That’s tough, both have good upside. If Collie is out I’d go with Garcon.

      @TJ: I’m leaning Rice, but like both. I’d lean Carolina and keep Lloyd.

      @Wilsonian: I’d see who needs WRs and try to get someone good for Boldin/Holmes

      @timSTi: Beanie/Bowe. Don’t like Collins in there.

      @Ken Plane: I like the Mendy side

    52. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @Matt Leinart: I’d hold. Yeah, I could see offering those trades. And if you can get a 2 for one, pick up Ward.

      @emceeperiod: Ivory looked a little better, but I see about the same kind of split from last week. Amendola

    53. stumanji says:
      (link)

      Who do you like to start at RB for me: Moreno (questionable), Spiller, Betts (PT did not practice, and I like Betts more than Ivory b/c he gets receptions and Ivory lost a fumble last week)?

      Thanks, Doc.

      For week 5, Who would be a better start at QB? S.Hill,B.Farve, or K.Kolb and at WR? L.Fitzgerald or J.Maclin? Thx

      Just made a big trade to solidify my roster, which stands at:

      QB Matt Ryan, RB Adrian Peterson, RB DeAngelo Williams, WR Reggie Wayne, WR Larry Fitzgerald, WR Brandon Lloyd, TE Antonio Gates

      with Knoshown Moreno and some bums on my bench.

      I have an open slot due to a recent trade (acquiring DeAngelo Williams). On the waiver wire are some relatively unappealing options (Josh Freeman, Jacoby Jones, LeGarrette Blount being the best players available at their positions).

      Should I just snag Vincent Jackson (floating around) and hope for the best?

    56. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @stumanji: Moreno is out. Betts is safer than Siller, but with Lynch gone, Spiller has more upside. I’d lean Spiller.

      I have 3 DEF on my team. NO, Minn, and NYG. I need to drop one … NO has a favorable schedule weeks 5-9 and Minnesota from 10-15(minus week 11) and NYG looked awesome Monday but not the best schedule. Which do I drop? NYG?

    58. Calogero says:
      (link)

      Flex question of this week (non-PPR): Felix Jones (Ten), Shonn Greene (Min) or Tim Hightower (NO)?

      Also, should I roll with Knox as WR2 or pick up Lance Moore for a plug’n’play? I’d have to drop Bernard Scott. Picking up Moore would also preclude me from picking up A. Hernandez to stash and trade later or keep and allow me to trade Finley for RB help.

    59. Ken Plane says:

      DST for this week – STL vs. Det. or Tenn. vs. Dallas.

    61. Doc

      (link)

      @Randy: Yeah, go with the matchups

      @Calogero: Jones. I’d rather have Moore for this week.

      @Ken Plane: Tough. STL.

      @Mike: I’d go with your first 2

    62. Wilsonian says:
      (link)

      @Doc: Thanks Doc. What do you think of Holmes/Hillis for JC? Also, do you think LT is going to hit a brick wall anytime in the near future, or is he back for good?

    63. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @Wilsonian: Tough call there. I love JC, but his carries have been nil. I would probably do it, but it’s a risk. I think LT will slow down, but it might take a month or more.

    64. el gaucho insufrible says:

      Would it be a mistake to drop the Vikings D/ST? I would like to pick up the Panthers this week, and then just play matchups from now on.

    65. G.O.B. says:
      (link)

      Question – I just got Brandon Tate from waivers, but now Shonn Greene is out there. Should I dump Tate now and get Greene? Barring an injury to LT, I don’t think anybody else is gonna pick him up before the Jets bye week, but I don’t really have a good grasp of what Tate’s value is or could be.

    66. Wilsonian says:
      (link)

      @Doc: well, it doesn’t matter anyway. The guy with JC has AJ and Collie so I was trying to play on their injuries, but he said no dice for now. He’s tough to deal with, you have to “wow” him.

      My Pops has Rice, though, and he’s possibly looking to deal him, depending on his performance this weekend, so I’ve got that in my sights.

    67. should i give up McCoy for Rice ? Jus lookin at Rice’s week 14, 15, 16 playoff sched. Looks pretty sweet. Non ppr.

      Doc,

      Would you trust Andy Reid and start McCoy? Also, with Collie likely out would Garcon be an alright flex play?

      Currently my only other option for either spot is Blount…. But I could get Ivory off the waiver. Would one of these backups be a better play than McCoy or Garcon?

      Thanks

      Got a tough one for anyone who feels up to it:

      Michael Bush vs. San Diego

      or

      Lance Moore vs Arizona

      Leaning toward Bush right now, but this is a return yardage league and Moore’s been doing punts in Bush’s absence.

      Thoughts?

      @Swizz: Would go with Garcon and McCoy

      @Scott: Yeah, Bush

    77. Anonymous says:

      @Doc: Who do you like going forward, Hernandez or Carlson? In other words, they both have a bye this week, so I need to drop one of them. The other option is to drop Favre and add a TE. Favre isn’t doing much good anywho.

    78. MrR8DER says:
      (link)

      Okay I have flex spot WR/R – PPR

      Choices AJ (scared he won’t play hard), Charles or R Mathews.

      Where do I go.

    79. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @Anonymous: I’d drop Carlson for sure

      @MrR8DER: Wow, that’s tough. I like all of them. Going with Mathews.

      I have garcon but i think he’s a go.

    83. UNcle MOwglie says:
      (link)

      little off topic Doc, but if u can give me your oppinion it would be huge. Our whole leagues about to go in shambles over 1 trade.

      cedric benson
      reggie wayne
      Alex Smith
      Matt Cassel

      for

      JOe Flacco
      Jason Campbell
      Justin Forsett

      would u veto this trade? why? does it look good? thanks.

    84. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @UNcle MOwglie: Yeah, that trades kinda nuts. Campbell is worthless. Forsett is nearly droppable. Flacco is the only truly startable guy. Wayne is a top 5 receiver. Benson is a low end #1. Cassel and Smith are at least both starting QBs. I wouldn’t trade just Wayne for those 3, or even just Benson. I usually don’t veto unless i know there is collusion, but that’s why I like being in leagues where there is a vote so I can let others do the dirty work!

      @Joel: Yeah, I would stick with those.

      @MrR8DER: I would lean AJ. Sounds like he is a go.

    85. kleptobum says:
      (link)

      Of all the defenses left on the waiver wire in my league, Carolina is the highest ranked on your list. I’m leaning towards playing them, but I’m wondering if your #7 ranking is more about your faith in their defensive unit, or more of a negative reflection on Todd Collins running a Chicago offense with a poor line and no run game?

    86. MrR8DER says:
      (link)

      @UNcle MOwglie: You have too Veto that deal – I am a little puzzled how you can ask if it looks good. That person offering Wayne is selling out BIG time.

    87. Matt says:

      Start Kolb vs SF or Orton vs Baltimore?

    88. bman says:

      @Drew Crew: Best is supposed to have a big day against St. Louis

    91. Shane says:
      (link)

      @Scott: I would start Lance Moore since you get return yardage Moore has a chance to take one back against a sketchy arizona special teams. Michael Bush is playing a tough San Diego Defense

    92. Shane says:
      (link)

      @UNcle MOwglie: Veto it, Wayne and Benson are top 20 fantasy players, Campbell and Forsett don’t even start thats a garbage trade

    93. Shane says:
      (link)

      @Matt Leinart: Drop Crabtree, pick up Ward especially since big Ben is coming back Hines is a beast.

    94. Shane says:

      Should I start Favre or McNabb this week?

    96. Doc

      Doc says:
      (link)

      @kleptobum: Collins is the main reason. They might not score a ton on sacks, but they shouldn’t give up much.

      @Matt: I’m leaning Kolb.

      @bman: Really depends on your other RBs, but I actually think McNabb will be ok. GB hasn’t been great on D.
