Don't be shellfish...Tweet about this on TwitterShare on FacebookShare on Google+Share on Reddit

When Reggie Wayne went down for the remainder of the year, the first thing I heard about was DHB stepping up.  Stepping up to do what?  Drop the ball more?  And it’s here where I said ‘Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears’.  And when I realized no one was listening I said this whole DHB love was absurd and that the one you want would be TY Hilton.  You think I’d lie to you?  I have Hilton as a top 10 WR this week and plan to have him as one for many weeks to come.  So of course, DHB will use this bye week to realize trying to catch the ball with the back of his hands is pointless and goes off.  Because life’s like that.  In other news, I have James Jones high simply because I think he’ll be ready to go.  If he’s not?  You see where Boykin is?  Well delete Jones and move Boykin up there.  It’s that simple.  In other news, J-Stew is expected back in Carolina.  As if Tolbert wasn’t F’ing things up for everyone who owned DeAngelo, we now have Williams not practicing and a third pair of hands to muck around with things.  Oh well, we drafted a flex we knew that’s what we’d get…we just wanted so much more…In other news, I don’t get the Russell Wilson ranking love.  Sure, he’s the 11th best according to ESPN fantasy scoring but ahead of guys like RG3 who’ve had their bye.  Plus it’s at home and you know Marshawn is angry after his last showing.  I expect full BeastMode and at least 15 middle fingers and you should too.  Foles & McCown?  Surprise!  Think gameflow and general skillset will make them top 12 options this week.  Shonn Greene should be an interesting flex play for teams that are in need as the news from the Titans is he should get 15 touches if he’s healthy enough to go.  Worried about CJ?K?  Don’t be.  Those are the carries up the middle that he was giving you 1.2 YPC on.  No, that’s not an actual stat, just a guesstimate.  He’s been terrible between the tackles this year anyways, I’m hoping we see him more in the passing game with this game plan laid out.  Your DST this week?  Pick a flavor.  Lot of good defenses with reasonable matchups out there.  Definitely streaming season.  But enough, we prattle on too long.  Let’s get to the week 9 rankings for 2013 Fantasy Football…

    Love these rankings this week

      @Zandy: I’ll go Witten there

    Give Lamar/Ellington

    Get McCoy
    I have Forte/Vereen/Ball

  3. Chicken Dinner says:

Here’s another set of possibilties. Which do you prefer and is most likely to be accepted.

    1. Gordon/ RGIII for AJGreen/ Pryor
    2. Gordon/ Wilson for AJGreen/ Pryor
    3. Gordon/ Wilson for AJGreen

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

      @Chicken Dinner:

Not very big on any of those, honestly. Gordon’s pace for a 14 game season is pretty amazing right now. If I had to choose, it’s 2 but that’s the only deal I’d offer.

  4. Brett says:
    (link)

I know it’s a kicker but why so high on Bryant? Everywhere else I look he is ranked so low.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Brett: Think ATL will move the ball against Carolina but won’t score much in the red zone. Could see a 3 to 4 FG day from him.

  5. Eddie says:
    (link)

Should I drop Roddy White for Anquan Boldin?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Eddie: Boldin is just sitting out there? I’m not huge on him but if you can’t wait on Roddy, that’s a good consolation prize

  6. atl, son says:
    (link)

Starter is on bye….T. Pryor or N. Foles?

@atl, son: I got this one Sky. Covered in rankings above. Shots!

@Cram It: Yeah, work computer blocks the rankings for some reason.

@atl, son: quit that job, son!

          • Zar says:
            (link)

@Prez: I seem to be able to see Pryor :p Or should I not help him :p Can’t wait till you get off work? The two you mentioned won’t play until sunday, probably could wait to check at home :p

  7. Mike says:
    (link)

I have Calvin Johnson, Jordy Nelson and Josh Gordon (with Jimmy Graham at TE) so am killing it at WR but RBs are TRich, Sproles, Bernard so could use upgrade. I have Ellington and Andre Brown also.

a guy in my league has both TY Hilton (also has Andre Johnson and Colston) and Chris Johnson (has AP and Woodhead).

I was thinking offering Josh Gordon and one of my RBs for Hilton and C2K. Do you think that improves my team as opposed to playing RB matchups. Which of my RBs would be willing to give up?

    • Cram It says:
      (link)

@Mike: I would try Gordon and one of your RB’s for just 1 RB, and someone better than CJ

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Mike: Agree w/Cram. Seems like you’re trying to almost trade sideways at RB. Might as well stick with your crop if that’s the case.

  8. Cram It says:
    (link)

Jennings or Shonnneeee Greene @ flex?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Cram It: Get environmental and go Greene

  9. Dave says:
    (link)

Thinking of maybe swinging Big Ben and one of my bench receivers like Denarius Moore for Locker it’s a 2Qb league, my other receivers are Dez, Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, Marvin Jones, and then could pick up Dobson to replace Moore in a .5PPR, Should I do it?

    • Cram It says:
      (link)

@Dave: Sure. I don’t see why that owner would do it though, if you’re just giving him a bench WR where he could pick up a Dobson-type himself

  10. tim betts says:

2 out of 3 for this weekend (non-ppr)

    Steve Johnson
    Danny Amendola

    Bye week hell

@tim betts: Have you covered in the rankings above.

  11. Jonathan Martin says:
    (link)

Tough day yesterday. Felt like high school all over again but on to more important things. This question is rather embarrassing as I’m aware kickers are not human beings but no love for Janikowski? Have to love that offense against the porous Eagles?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Jonathan Martin: That defense only gave up 5 FGs last week to the Giants which was more the Giants not converting in the RZ than it was great to put a kicker out there against them. Raiders will score but if they score 3 or 4 TDs and no FGs, eh…

  12. willy says:
    (link)

    Morning Sky,

Boykin or L Miller at flex this week… Hoping you say Boykin because I have Jordy Nelson and it will give me more to cheer for when watching the Packers, but willing to accept whatever you decide…

    Thanks in advance!

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

      @willy: Yeah, Boykin makes sense.

  13. Captain Kirk says:
    (link)

    @sky

so I’m in pretty much a must win situation at 2-6. However, I am in a 14 team league with 8 ppl making playoffs so i have a chance.

Question is this for 0.5 ppr league.

My WR are: Victor Cruz, Wes Welker, Josh Gordon, Kendall Wright, Josh Boykin, Randall Cobb
My RB are: LeSean McCoy, Leveon Bell, Zac Stacy, Shane Vereen

    Thoughts on this:

    1st Trade:

I give: Wes Welker, Leveon Bell
    I receive: Matt Forte

    then accept a 2nd trade:

    I receive: TY Hilton
    I give: Zac Stacy.

That would leave me with Cruz, Gordon, & Hilton as main WR &
McCoy, Forte, & Vereen at RB

    Thoughts?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Captain Kirk: So you’d have two RBs and a guy not due back until week 11 or later? Hrm, that’s pretty risky but it’s late enough in the season with that record to try it.

      • Captain Kirk says:
        (link)

        @Sky:

or just do cruz, levon bell (or stacy), & boykin for Forte.

That would leave me with WR of Welker, Gordon, Wright

RBs of mcCoy, Forte, stacy, vereen

basically not do the hilton for stacy deal.

        Thoughts on that?

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

@Captain Kirk: I’d be happier keeping Stacy there so I’d do that.

  14. Stump the Schwab says:
    (link)

Rank ROS : Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, Jordan Cameron, Larry Fitzgerald

I can trade Fred Jackson for any one of these guys in a 12 TM League where I am hurting at WR (other RBs are Bush, TRich, Gio, P Thomas). My current WRs are Stevie Johnson, TY Hilton, Terrance Williams, and Hot Garbage. Always appreciate the insight!

  15. Burt says:
    (link)

In a 12-team standard league I am in need of desperation FLEX: Vincent Brown, Marlon Brown, or Bolden?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Burt: Assuming Bolden is spelled right (You mean the NE RB and not the SF WR), I’d say Vincent

  16. Scott says:
    (link)

    Sky

My team is 5-3 in a 0.5 ppr 12-team keeper league
    QB – Newton, Stafford
RB – Lacy, McFadden, Stacy, T-Richardson, Moreno, Stewart, Greene
WR – Dez, Peter Waiter, Stevie Johnson, Blackmon, Kearse
    TE – Cameron, Reed

Trade was just offered to me
Reggie Bush and Wes Welker for McFadden, Stacy, and Blackmon

I’ve been going around the league to try and use my depth to get a better WR2. Right now I’m trying to use my RB depth to trade for Brandon Marshall. Or my QB depth with a throw WR to trade for AJ Green. Thoughts on those moves?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Scott: I’d take the Bush side.

  17. J Money says:
    (link)

    .5 PPR
If Stacy does not play, does D Richardson move up at all in the rankings?

Also, I assume Stewart is not worth the pick up to play this week since he is not ranked
Have Stacy and D Rich to play over him as my RB2

    • Cram It says:
      (link)

@J Money: Logic would have it.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@J Money: He’ll move up a little. Think he’s still the COP there and the other RBs will fight for scraps.

      Stewart is ranked…

      • J Money says:
        (link)

        @Sky:
My mistake, I somehow missed him.

If Stacy does not play, is D Rich the play over Stewart?

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

It’s gonna depend on the health of DeAngelo. He’s been missing practice this week. If he’s a no go, Stewart becomes second behind Tolbert and is good in PPR. D-Rich I don’t trust.

  18. Harris says:
    (link)

Do you prefer Lance Moore to Stills because Stills is on the injury report? I picked them both up. I have Megatron out this week, so I have to start 3 of these guys…. Allen, Stills,Moore and Hartline. I know you have them ranked, so no need to ask who you would start. I really was just interested in why you prefer Moore to Stills.

    • Cram It says:
      (link)

@Harris: Brees has like Moore for a long time. Stills sees like 3 targets a game and they’re all deep balls. Hit or miss.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Harris: Moore had 7 catches last week vs 3 to Stills and also out-targeted him. Yards and TDs aren’t a good indicator of which player is better than another for ranking purposes.

  19. Nathan says:
    (link)

    Great work as usual, Sky.

Thoughts on my flex spot for this week in a .5 ppr league? Hartline or Lamar Miller?

  20. Nick says:
    (link)

    Standard 10 team

WR – Jordy Nelson, Andre Johnson
    RB – Forte, CJ2K
    Flex – ??

Bench – Zac Stacy, T-Rich, Pierre Thomas, Shonne Greene, Torrey Smith, Heyward-Bey, Boykin

Out of these bench players who would you feel most comfortable throwing into the flex position. Similarly would you replace any of my 4 starters with my bench?

    Thanks!

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Nick: Rankings tell you who I’d start vs not-start at your positions. Stacy

  21. JoeBoo says:
    (link)

    ROS, PPR league-
For my RB4 behind Morris, DMC, Stacy:
Mike James, Andre Brown, Shane Vereen?

  22. Wilsonian says:
    (link)

0.5 PPR, 6 points per TD, 3 bonus points at 85 yards receiving/100 yards rushing, 6 bonus points at 135 yards receiving/150 yards rushing.

I know to check your rankings for this, but who would you play out of this scenario:

    Pick 2:
    Ridley
    Bernard
    CJnoK
    Sproles

I have Ridley and CJnoK in and benched Bernard and Sproles because they were god awful last week and neither has been really good these past couple/few weeks.

I have New England at DEF (it’s really just defense, we count return TDs from the individual players – everything is standard Defense rules). I can pick up Carolina, but have some fears about them. Do I leave NE in or pick up sweet Carolina?

    • Wilsonian says:
      (link)

@Wilsonian: I could also throw Jimmy Graham into that mix as I have Reed as my starting TE right now, but he can play in a flex spot over one of those RBs.

      • Sky

        Sky says:
        (link)

@Wilsonian: Hrm, you know my rankings but how would I rank them? Wilsonian, you’re better than that and I’m not changing my mind…:P

I’m leaving Graham on my bench unless I hear ridiculously good news out of New Orleans about him.

        • Wilsonian says:
          (link)

@Sky: Well then I’m going to pick your brain… Ha! Why do you have Gio ahead of Ridley? Just give me a reason and I’m following your advice. I didn’t follow you last week and it cost me about 15 points (wouldn’t have saved me the win since your Golden boy blew up on Monday night) but I’m forcing myself to follow you and your infinite wisdom.

And what about the defenses? Drop NE for Sweet Caroline-a? Does the way our league has it set up change things at all (no special teams, just defense)?

          • Sky

            Sky says:
            (link)

Ha, well Ridley’s a wildcard. It’s just as simple as that. I don’t trust Bill to play him right after last week when he didn’t get a snap in the first quarter. Hard to trust. At least I’m confident in Gio being part of a game plan week in and week out at this point.

If you wanna stream, I’d go with CAR. They’ve been very good defensively and it’s had nothing to do with special teams. Think we’re seeing a changing of the guard for this year in that division.

            • Wilsonian says:
              (link)

@Sky: I appreciate it. I put Gio in. I’m trying to deal Sproles for Lacy to a guy who likes the Saints. May try to toss him Graham for McCoy, too.

              • Sky

                Sky says:
                (link)

I’d do that w/Graham as well

        • Wilsonian says:
          (link)

@Sky: And I went ahead and followed your rankings and put Gio in. I just want to pick your brain some… Dammit. He better not let me down for the third week in a row. And I’m picking Carolina back up. Might as well ride them a little longer. They’ve been my go-to for a few weeks.

          • Aero says:
            (link)

@Wilsonian: Aside from weeks 14 & 16, I think they’re a good play the rest of the way, most likely.

  23. Pete says:
    (link)

In PPR, where would you slot Reed and Clay (roughly) in comparison to WR’s and RB’s (for flex purposes)? And Do you think that’s about representative of their ROS value or is there upside? In the case of Clay it seems like he’s a dynamic player that they’ll continue to get involved in a variety of ways. Reed seems like he has become an RG3 favorite.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

@Pete: Reed as a low to mid WR2, Clay as a low end WR3 and Reed as an RB2 and Clay as an RB4 I guess? Odd question.

I guess? Again, this is a really weird question. Clay’s upside is capped and he’s a low end weekly option but will rarely fall outside the top 15 TE for any given week. Reed could be a top 5 TE ROS.

      • Pete says:
        (link)

@Sky: Thanks. Trying to evaluate for this week and potential trade purposes. Our league’s a little different in that you can also play a TE in the 3rd WR slot (as well as the flex slot). I have these guys in addition to Gronk so trying to figure out the best course of action.

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

Yeah usually just better if you show me the players you’re trying to evaluate from. Matchups more important than how I view Reed and Clay against a position.

          • Pete says:
            (link)

@Sky: My bad. Was offered Bolden and Kerley for Clay. Seems like a yawn but maybe worth it? Also, would you do something like Reed for Keenan Allen or is the security of the 2nd TE that I can also plug into that WR slot make it not worth it?

            • Sky

              Sky says:
              (link)

Pretty meh move with Clay. The Reed one isn’t that bad, though. Could and should pay dividends down the road. Looks like the primary target outside of Gates for Rivers in SD.

  24. Jagan says:
    (link)

    Trade suggestion:

    is this a fair trade?

Get Jamaal charles and Give Leveon Bell & Zac Stacy

Get JC and give Leveon Bell and Marques Colston.

Not sure if he agrees to any of those.

    Jagan

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

You’re trying to get the top RB in the game right now. Any trade for him is gonna depend on needs if its fair or not. You can try both but I’d deny both

    • CL says:
      (link)

@Jagan: I’m a JC owner and those offers wouldn’t do it by any means. I can smell a bad 2-for-1 a mile away, and will reject one just because. You know who the best player in that deal is, and the offer means he’d have to dump someone else in the process.

  25. Scott Evans

    Scott Evans says:
    (link)

I have Dalton & Luck… would like to start Dalton, but my opponent has AJ Green & Marvin Jones. How should I proceed in this case?

Bench is Percy Harvin / Jordan cameroon / Shane Vereen

I need to pick 2 of these players to start, standard scoring:

    Harry Douglas
    Antonio Brown
    Trent Richardson
    Golden Tate

One will WR the other will Flex so just wondering where Trent would fit in your WR rankings.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Standard I’ll give T-Rich a shot there. Brown I have ranked agove Douglas and Tate so that’s been answered.

  28. goodfold2 says:

    harvin or tolbert or wright?
i’m guessing not harvin just from him just possibly getting back to game speed.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Non-PPR, I trust Tolbert has a better shot at a plunge than Wright so it’s Mike for me.

  29. David says:
    (link)

    10-team 1-ppr league:

have an offer to get mega & rice/pierce, for demarryius, shorts, starks and either woodhead/DMC.

what you think and would you rather include woodhead or DMC?

This will leave me w/ Mega, Wright, Torrey, Boykin, Drew Davis (w/ Cobb down the line) at WR
Either DMC/Woodhead, Rice, Powell/Ivory, Wilson, Starks, Tate at RB

    w/ Rodgers at QB and Clay at TE, I can start 2RB, 3WR, 1 RB/WR, 1RB/TE

also trying to get burleson from him, he’s asking to swap rodgers for cam to include him in the deal?

    Thoughts?

    • David says:
      (link)

just to clarify, starks is not in the deal. He has Lacy btw so was thinking can be used as a chip.

      • Sky

        Sky says:
        (link)

Ok, straight 3 for 3. Even better. Not sure why you need to include players if they’re not asking for them.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

It’s a reasonable trade. In a 1 PPR, I’d honestly give up DMC over Woodhead. Not sure the excitement over Burleson by everyone. He wasn’t doing much prior to getting hurt. I’d rather hold there.

  30. Wilsonian says:
    (link)

You trading Sproles for Lacy in a 0.5 PPR?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

I’d take Lacy a million times over Sproles at this point.

      • Wilsonian says:
        (link)

@Sky: yeah, I would, too. He is on the fence, but isn’t biting. I’m going to try to toss him something else.

      • David says:
        (link)

@Cram It: Would he go low enough to say bench for Denarius Moore against the crappy Philly D? Sky said still WR1 so I guess not. I was originally asking because Talib has shut down everyone he’s faced this year.

        • Cram It says:

What’s up with the ranking of the Oakland D/ST at 16? While not overly inspiring, they have played decent for most of the season (save the Denver game) and face what looks like a substandard Philly offense, even with Foles at QB, at home. Is your love of Chip Kelly clouding your judgment?

Ha, nah, last week was a bad showing for sure but the Eagles are better than they’ve shown. I don’t dislike the Raiders defense. There’s a lot of playable ones this week, actually, and I’d consider Oakland one of them. That said, Eagles haven’t had a problem moving the ball, just scoring of late. Hard to imagine that stays the norm for 3 straight games.

  45. the imp says:
    (link)

    Hey Sky,
Why is MJD more often rated ROS as a better bet than Ellington (in PPR)?
A contrarian view is that Ellington is outscoring MJD (by almost 3ppg in my system, though I admit it is not statistically significant), has more upside since his role has room to grow, and is more athletically talented at this stage in their careers. Neither one is in a particular good system, so that is moot.
My sense is that folks (including you, I suspect…apologies if I am wrong) like MJD more because you prefer players who get more touches. Is it as simple as that?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

There’s mulitple factors associated. Snap count and assumed touches is a large part of it but you have to factor in other things as well. Success as a smaller-type back in a lead role…it’s not very common. Andre’s not a big guy. It’s hard to think he gets the ball 25 times in any game which is partially where the touches come in. Then you have to consider team makeup. Arians has been very non-committed to Ellington to date. Before last week, Bruce was content to hand it off to Mendy for 2.3 YPC about 15-20 times and only gave 5 touches to Andre in a laugher against Seattle. If the coach won’t play him, it’s hard to get behind putting him ahead of the starting back for another team, especially one with a good history who has actually come around a bit in the last two weeks.

      Hope that helps.

You like James Graham for McCoy, correct? I have Reed at TE. We do have a W/R/T flex slot, however. Here’s my team before the deal:

    QB – Rivers
    WR – Dez
    WR – Green
    WR – Garcon
    RB – Forte
    RB – Gio
    TE – Reed
    W/R – Gordon

    BN – Stafford
    BN – Ridley
    BN – Sproles
    BN – Decker
    BN – Harvin
    BN – Graham

Planning on playing Murray and Foster. I also have Ben Tate as handcuff. I was planning on playing Stacy as flex. I also have L. Miller and Chris Johnson at my disposal. Do I need to flex Miller tonight to be safe in the absence of any new information or is it worth risking the wait? To me the odds of all those players sitting out seems small.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

So you should get at least 1 Texans RB, I’d guess. That leaves you with CJ and Stacy. As long as you have another player to flex besides Miller, I think you’re fine not starting him.

Would you trade away woodhead to get Gates? How bout Stacy to get gates?

It would still have Forte, S. Jax, Mathews, Gio, Vereen, Andre Brown and whatever RB I didn’t deal.

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

          • Ron says:
            (link)

@Sky: That’s the thing. I don’t really need TE but I am way too RB heavy (8) with only one WR on my bench.

@Sky: Not a James fan either myself. RGIII worries me, though. I know I’m guilty of it to a degree but, I am blown away with how much people over value their players. You’ve seen all the trades I’ve posted. Most of them you say I’m giving too much. I agree but realize I basically have to rip myself off depth wise to upgrade my weakness. Calling some of the counters an insult would be a compliment.

            • Sky

              Sky says:
              (link)

Sure. Problem is trades aren’t always about name value. Have to also consider needs when talking trades, too. I had a new guy in my keeper baseball league. Constant trade offers that did jack squat for me if he took a nano-second to look at my roster. Hell, I even put Tulo up for sale and said specifically what I needed…so of course he offers three different trades and none of them offer what I needed. Silly bunts.

              • Chicken Dinner says:
                (link)

@Sky: Oh absolutely. That’s how I go at trades. I see who needs what I have to give. If those teams have something I want, I made a low ball but reasonable offer and go from there. Gotta feel em out first, right?

  60. Shake N Bacon says:

I know I’m going to get flamed for this…especially by Cram. Which is fine because I expect it. But I’m having a real hard time deciding between RG3 and Rivers. RG3 has teased me but after a 5 point performance last week, I think I have to go with Rivers, which is how you have him ranked.

The second part to this is going with Alshon over Hartline in a PPR league. I don’t even know who is throwing the ball to Alshon though. If Cutler was slinging it, I would no doubt play Alshon. Is his upside totally limited given their QB situation? Hartline is a safer play, but I’m feeling frisky this week. Does Alshon have the higher ceiling or not because of his QB?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

I think McCown is fine as a QB. Usually when asking does ‘x’ have a higher upside than Hartline, the answer is yes and it is here too.

@Sky: I just offered this trade…keep in mind I have Delanie Walker as my Tight End and the waiver wire is crap!

            I trade:
            Moreno
            Alshon

            I get:
            Lacy
            Tony Gonzalez

It will probably get rejected since 99% of my trade offers in this league have been. But do you think it’s fair? I really need a TE and if I could pick up a RB this week while Knowshon is on a bye, I could plug him in, instead of Bolden as my RB2 (Yeah my team is in rough shape).

            • Sky

              Sky says:
              (link)

I think you should get a better player in the swap concerning T-Gonz but the big issue is whether or not the other guy believes in Moreno. It’s fair in my book over the course of the year.

Yeah, you won’t get him with Lacy in the mix. By the end of the season, it’ll be fair but I don’t think T-Gonz fixes your TE issues like you’re hoping.

                    (link)

@Sky: Hmm. Delanie Walker was the best TE on the wire. Just been playing TE roulette the past 3-4 weeks and am always a week behind everyone else in picking up the next best thing. i had a chance to get Reed in week 5 I think or 6 and decided against it and stuck with Jared “Likes To” Cook instead.

@Prez: Ha, mr. 4-wins-in-a-row Prez! you’re on fire. Looks like you have a tough matchup this week against Belicheck Yo’Self. Goodluck!

        Happy halloween to you too!

No doubt, I’ll be frying pounds of bacon tonight to hand out to the little shitheads in my neighborhood. Luckily I live in a rural subdivision in the woods with dirt roads. Not many, if any visitors

        • Prez says:
          (link)

@Shake N Bacon: yeah im like a flaming turd on my way to the finish line… Ha my team is depleted in that league, really just getting lucky.

And consider yourself blessed to not have too many visitors.. “Go away kids, im watching football and eating your candy!” Haha

  61. DP says:

Alright bear with me here, lot’s of moving parts. I need a RB, TE and Flex in a .25 PPR. Options are Woodhead and Stacy, Gronk and Graham (yes, I have both). Assuming they are all active, I have Stacy, Graham and Gronk plugged in. I just can’t make a decision with Woodhead against WASH. What do you say?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

I think you need to explain what you’re trying to fill. Seems like you solved your own question by what you said. I have rankings above that would tell you how I view the RB and the TE question. Are you asking who to start at Flex?

      • DP says:
        (link)

@Sky: Yeah I guess it basically boils down to Graham or Woodhead in my flex.

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

Cool, yeah. Ah ok gotcha. Good problems to have. I am personally worried about Graham’s health so i’d go Woodhead there.

          • DP says:
            (link)

@Sky: I’m kind of thinking that myself. Gonna watch the practice news and make my decision based on that. With Stacy practicing in full that’s one spot I don’t have to worry about it seems. Thanks a lot for the input.

            • Sky

              Sky says:
              (link)

No prob. I had Graham as a sell yesterday because of all this injury business so it’s hard to recommend starting right now for me.

  62. L-Boogie says:
    (link)

So yeah, this is how you ranked these free agents (with opponents in parentheses)… (I’ve never put the word parentheses in parentheses before. Now I’ve done it 3 times).:
    Vincent Brown (Wash)
    Ginn Jr. (Atl)
    LaFell (Atl)
    Dobson (Pitt)
    Streater (Philly)
    Drew Davis (Car)
    McCluster (Buffalo)

So that basically means that top guy is the safest and might score a point or 2 more than the guy behind him and so on. But out of these guys, who has the biggest potential to go all-out gangbusters this week? I have so many byes/injuries/tough matchups that I need to take some gambles. So is there a guy or two that will probably get the 4-8 points but might get the 15-20 points? Or is that reflected in the rankings too?

    Does that make ANY sense?

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@L-Boogie: due simply to WAS’s offense and Rivers sometimes (not lately) having to throw for 400 yards i’d say v.brown, followed by Davis.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Ha! If we’re wondering who could ‘go off’ so to speak, LaFell and Dobson would get that label for me. I think Brown has the chance too if coverage on Allen picks up but if you’re looking for extreme boom/bust, those are the two I’d pick.

  63. Prez says:
    (link)

Can i drop martin yet? Doode aint comin back… Already dropped him in my 10 teamer, but held in the rcl… Really want to kick him off the hamster wheel…

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Who you dropping him for? Holding onto him no different than picking up a ‘high upside guy who’s done nothing but I think he might…someday’ player.

      • Prez says:
        (link)

@Sky: harsh words, sky… Hamster boy would not be happy..

Think im just going to hold his ass because im so short on RBs and the wire is bare… I want to grab hawkins and realized i still have tavon, ill drop him.

Thanks! Have fun trick or treating in your underwear!

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

@Prez: It’s called tough love Prez!

If you’re holding his ass, you like him a little more than I do. I was simply stroking his muscular thighs.

Tavon is so dumpable, even Taylor Swift can’t get mad enough to write a breakup song about it.

I’m going as the invisible man tonight…I need no underwear! You going Gangnam Style?

          • Prez says:
            (link)

@Sky: i just picked up shonne greene as my flex so as you can see, im in need a of an RB..

Nice!! Im stuffing a cardinals jersey with 5 pillows and walking around parties eating ice cream… Im Matt Adams!

            • Sky

              Sky says:

Haha, I swear if he wasn’t playing baseball. He’d be the bro who passes out on your couch stoned after every party. Like a baseball Chris Farley.

I actually like Greene this week so there’s that. Think TEN’s run game will change for the better this week with him back. Might sneak yourself into a touchdown there.

Drop McGahee for Rishard Matthews? PPR.

    • Sky

      Sky says:

That’s a needs question. I’d say to hold onto McGahee on the surface of it, though.

  65. Ed says:

Who’s the better option for my Flex position? S-Jax, Edelman, or Law Firm
    It’s PPR league
    Thanks

SJax if he’s healthy, BJGE if he’s not.

  66. Chadillac says:
    (link)

Would you offer Knowshon Moreno for Eddie Lacy or LeVeon Bell straight up?

    12 team standard.. NO ppr

I’m worried about the Broncos limiting his load to save his legs for the playoffs.

    Thanks

    • Chadillac says:
      (link)

@Chadillac: Oh and I could really use Lacy or Bell this week with Knowshon on the bye.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

For Lacy, yes. For Bell, no.

I am at a loss for words at how delusional some people are. Check this out. I’m 6-2 he’s 1-7.
    My original offer.

    Stacy/Gordon/L.Miller/H.Miller
    for
    Cam/Gonzo

    His counter.

    Calvin/Ellington
    for
    Roethlisberger/Givens/Olsen

I got Brees in another deal but still needed TE help.
He has 3 #1TEs who byes have passed. I have Vereen/Brown in IR spots need to trim.
    Next offer.

    Blackmon/Helu/Brown/Burleson
    for
    Cruz/Olsen

Denied. OK, fine. He’s not interested. I’m fine with that. Until………..

    Same guy just accepted THIS.
    His

    Cruz/Keenan/Powell
    for
    Welker/Reece/Cumberland

I’m not one to stop a trade. Even IF I had zero trade talks with him. This has to be vetoed.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Sounds like an idiot. Not worth your time.

      • Chicken Dinner says:
        (link)

@Sky: Just the time it takes to petition a veto. Goes against the grain for me but in this case its necessary, no?

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

Never necessary but I think it would be a good way to spark discussion about what that hose-job is doing in your league.

          • Chicken Dinner says:

@Sky: It’s the commish who’s commiting this atrocity. Compromising the very intergrity that he chose to uphold when he signed on (I know because I stepped down and ask him to take over). * British accent* OFF WITH HIS HEAD I SAY!!!!

Hey sky who do you like at .5ppr flex this week?

    Cameron vs T Rich

    • Sky

      (link)

Cameron has the higher floor at this point. I’ll say him.

  69. Jman says:
    (link)

I’ve been offered B Marshall for Trent Richardson and Terrence Williams in my 0.5 ppr Keeper league. I wanted to keep Williams but Marshall would help with this year. Should I trade for Marshall?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

      I’ll take Marshall there.

  70. 12-team PPR
    WR Garcon, Gordon, Jeffery, Nicks
    TE Jimmy Graham
RB: Bush, L. Bell, Joique Bell, L Miller

Question: Would you dump Nicks to pick up Shane Vereen?

We start 2 WR, 2RB and 1 WR/TE flex slot.

    • Oh yeah, I got Boykin, too. Maybe I should dump him? Or should I start him? Lol.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Tough…I think you can wait one more weekend before making a choice. Don’t think Vereen is due back until week 11.

  71. Monty says:
    (link)

So I currently sit in 1st place in a 14 team league.
I have just been offered Percy and R. White for Jordy.
My receiving corps is Fitz Jordy and Shorts.
    Any thoughts?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Not seeing a good reason for you to do that, personally.

      • Monty says:
        (link)

@Sky: Yeah, it seems like a big risk to me as well.
        Thanks Sky!

So u think hart line will pick it up this week? Better than amendila?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

No more Gibson, I think Hartline is next in the line of trust for Tannehill. Wallace has been too iffy.

  73. Wilsonian says:

I’m really starting to hate the way Cincinnati uses Bernard. And I’m starting to hate that I continually play him despite this.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

You should really just hate the Ginger running the offense

      • Wilsonian says:
        (link)

@Sky: eh, my opponent started him, so that helps. But AJ and Gio look ok now after that drive.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

      Faith restored?

      • Wilsonian says:
        (link)

@Sky: yes. And anger subsided. He’s just easily the better back over the Firm. But it’s like that’s lost on the Cincinnati coaching staff.

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

He’s a smaller back. I’m fine with limiting his running reps but he should be out there every passing down, no questions asked

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

Well even if Stevan goes off I think we’re good this week, no?

          • Wilsonian says:
            (link)

@Sky: nah still need CJnoK to go off, as well. Ha! Thanks on the Gio call. I needed it.

Colston just hit waivers. Who would you drop, Amendola or Nicks? (.5ppr)

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

How big is this league? I’d drop Nicks in a vaccuum.

  75. strugz says:
    (link)

I have Graham. I have Reed. Embarrassment of riches, I know.

Would you send Reed/Le’veon for Gore? I have Rice and Forte. Gore would FLEX.

So the question is, would you rather have a TE backup for Jimmy OR upgrade my FLEX to Gore?

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

I put a sell call out on Graham yesterday. Think should up your sights and sell Graham, personally. I’m not huge on the trade you’re projecting there, personally.

  76. Scott says:
    (link)

So a buddy of mine traded his only TE1 in Gates for guess who of all players….. Veeren?!?! What the hell is he thinking and now he will rock with Clay as his TE in a 14man league? Rofl

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Interesting call in a 14 teamer. Not terrible to rock Clay in that size of league but I question why Vereen of all players for Gates…

  77. Big Ben 48 says:
    (link)

Which side do you like? PPR.
    Calvin Johnson/sproles/Blackmon or Foster/Ben Tate/ Terrance Williams.

    Thanks!

  78. Mike says:
    (link)

Five of my automatic starters are out on bye this week. I am torn between Zac Stacy & T.Y. Hilton for my flex. I am in a PPR league. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

That is tough. I like both. I’ll say the guy who’s the healthiest and go with Hilton.

  79. Baren says:

    Tolbert or James Jones?
FLEX play in very TD heavy league

    • Sky

      Sky says:

If James Jones is healthy, Id go with him. Most likely it’s Tolbert though

  80. J-FOH says:
    (link)

what do you think of Riley Cooper as a sleeper play this week over David Nelson or Cole Beasley? or just pick one. I also have LaFell starting too, what two do you like

I have a lot of Broncos on this team

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

If you’re talking about sleepers, you gotta go with Cooper. Nelson/Beasley are pretty boring.

      • J-FOH says:
        (link)

@Sky: with Stewart back and allegedly getting “10” touches, do you like him over Helu. I really think it’s a toss up. My hesitation on Helu is that San Diego is not giving any TD’s to RB’s this year. What do you think of this shituation

        • Sky

          Sky says:
          (link)

I’d start Helu and expect next to nothing

          • J-FOH says:
            (link)

@Sky: all my rational thought says that and yet I want to start Stewart. It’s my toughest bye week and I need that game changer….or someone to get me more than 7 points

  81. Jeff says:
    (link)

TY Hilton or Jordan reed in a ppr this week?

    • Sky

Tough…I’ll say Reed but its extremely close

  82. Kevin says:
    (link)

    Hi,

Which 2 of the following 3 should I start in a .5 point ppr week 9?
    Alfred Morris
    Stevan Ridley
    Zac Stacy

    Thanks!

    • Sky

      Sky says:
      (link)

Have you covered with the rankings above

      • Kevin says:
        (link)

Curious, why is Ridley so low? I know his playing time is confusing, but he’s been on a TD tear. Thanks.

        • Kevin says:
          (link)

          Ahh yes…very interesting. Thanks!

          • Sky

            Sky says:
            (link)

@Kevin: Sorry I missed your followup question there. Was strictly to do with Bill Bellichick. He’s the wildcard, not Ridley. They all performed well but Ridley would’ve been nice over Morris no doubt.

  83. Zandy says:
