Don't be shellfish...Tweet about this on TwitterShare on FacebookShare on Google+Share on Reddit

Well, it’s the end of the year and I have to ask…you’re still here?  It’s over, go home.  Week 16 is when championships are decided, not week 17.  Have you no shame?  Ok, so some of you play through to week 17.  Dear, sweet baby Jeebus I don’t know why you do but since you do, we’re gonna do what we came to do, ain’t that right boo?  Ahem, this is where the lady Razzballers say ‘True‘…hello?  Alright, fine, you’re not Notorious B.I.G. fans I can see.  Well I hope you’re a fan of Christina Ricci because this week Justin Blackmon Snake Moan is gonna leave his owners happy they stayed chained to him for the entire season.  Or at least happy to have owned him since his 236 yard performance in week 11.  He’s been fairly useful since that explosion and now that Cecil Shorts has gone on the IR with his second concussion of the year, it’ll now be Justin’s chance to be ‘the man’ in that Jags passing game.  I know that doesn’t sound exciting but it got me excited.  So excited I’m saying Blackmon will end the week with WR1 numbers as he faces the Titans.  You know the team that’s given up the most points on the season to opposing teams?  Oh and the Jags give up the 6th most points so this game is looking like fireworks of Katy Perry proportions.  If Blackmon has 150 yards receiving, I’m not going to be shocked.  Outside of that, you’ll notice my hesitation with Falcons players in the rankings.  If I can start someone else in place of Atlanta’s major offensive pieces this year, I am.  Oh and even though I only pointed out Blackmon, my love for all things Jaguars and Titans are of ridiculous proportions.  It’s like Dan Fouts proudly said in Waterboy, ‘Last game of the year, Brent, can’t hold anything back now’.  Pretty sure it’s going to be the most entertaining game that has no playoff implications this weekend which is probably the nicest thing anyone could say about a Jags vs Titans matchup.  So with that, let’s get this Jags vs Titans matchup on the road!  Er, I mean let’s take a look at the final weekly rankings for the 2012 fantasy football season…all four of us…we can read it like a bedtime story to eachother…by candlelight…ok, I’ll stop now…

Survivor advice: 12 left in my pool, picks reset for the playoffs. My best week 17 options are as follows:

SD v Oak (Chargers have a history of crushing my pool, whether you bet on or against them)
    WAS v Dal
    BUF v Jets
    TEN v Jax
TB v Atl (if Atl is resting starters)

No good options. Which is least bad?

@Steve Stevenson: correction, TB is @ ATL

Hey Steve, I contacted our survivor league guy. Hopefully he can chime in as it’s not really my area of knowledge.

@Sky: thanks. Our pick deadline is before the surivor column usually hits, so i’ve been posting earlier in the week and usually he drops in.

@Steve Stevenson: I’m going to say the best two options are San Diego and Buffalo. I would avoid the Washington vs. Dallas game because both teams are playing for the year and anything can happen. I’d avoid the Tampa Bay at Atlanta game as there has been some talk out of Atlanta that they want to end the year off in form for the playoffs. But, the first sign of an injury will lead to the coach pulling his starters so avoid this game due to the unknown. I like San Diego because this will be Norv’s last game as head coach and I will bet the team will play hard for him. Add in Matt Leinart and a second straight road game for the Raiders and I think the Chargers make the best bet. If you hate San Diego because they keep ruining things (the Saints are my most hated team to bet on because they always find a way to screw me over), The Bills at home aren’t a bad choice. The Jets stink. Good luck in week 17 and I hope, with no thanks to the plane, you are still alive when it’s all over.

@Zorboss: Rad — thanks. I have Buffalo in there now, and keep trying to build up the sack to put in the Chargers, which my head knows is probably the best choice, having seen Leinart play.

Should I start Wilson over Stafford …and why?

I have Wilson ranked 6th and Stafford ranked 16th. Stafford is facing a team that is fighting for it’s playoff lives and has one of the top defenses in the league that forces a lot of turnovers…don’t really think there’s a question here.

you really think ray rice will play enough to do some damage? I feel like montell owens is a safer bet. Obviously you dont, but why not?

Montell is safer to an extent. I haven’t heard the Ravens are sitting Ray Rice but he may not play the whole game. Montell’s upside is limited, obviously, it just depends if you need a big bang or solidity.

@Sky: well rice is not playing now so what about owens or jackie battle?

          Owens for sure.

Hey JT, just got word that Montell Owens is now a surprise inactive. Looks like Battle is your last man standing.
