I’m playing hurt this week. I’ve been diagnosed with moderate bulging disc between L5/S1. It’s basically an inch above the top of your butt crack, but the pain is shooting everywhere. If this is deemed “moderate”, I’d hate to feel a “major” bulge. I’ve done some research on home remedies, and the first thing I spotted was ice techniques. Perhaps I should have done research when this first happened, as I’ve been using a heating pad all week. I’m out of commission in terms of yard work, house work involving bending over, and lifting anything weighing more than my cat (Beefie, aka The Great Chunk, weighs 16 lbs), but it’s not gonna stop me from preparing the Two Minute Drill. And for those who think I should take some time off, ha ha, very funny.

Fantasy Football stats, news, and opinions heading into NFL Week 7.

Points Allowed” provided by MyFantasyLeague.com

Bye: Buffalo, Cincinnati, New England, NY Giants, Philadelphia, San Francisco

  • The only play that could have lost my Week 6 Indy +7 pick was a defensive TD. Stupid WR Pierre Garcon and DE Carlos Dunlap. Argh.
  • RB Fred Jackson’s 80-yard TD was classic Tecmo. If he runs straight, he’s easily tackled. A few zig-zags and he makes it to the end zone untouched.
  • RB Ahmad Bradshaw’s third TD of Week 6 was a one-yard goal line leap, which has become a dying art. It’s nice to see some players still have confidence to use it.
  • TE Delanie Walker only had two receptions in Week 6, but you need to look beyond the box score. He’s listed as a tight end but he’s lining up all over the field.

San Diego at NY Jets

  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Jets give up the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Never bench your studs – start Philip Rivers.
  • Reminder, RB’s Ryan Mathews (calf, wrist) and Mike Tolbert (concussion) were both injured in the Week 5 win atDenver. Pending their Sunday status, it’s clear Mathews is the workhorse. He’s averaging 17 Rushes and 4.8 Targets compared to Tolbert’s 7.2 Rushes and 6.8 Targets.
  • WR Vincent Jackson visits Revis Island.
  • You’ve already made it this far, so I’m sure you can push it a little more. Do not start TE Antonio Gates until you see him make it through a game.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Jets give up the sixth most fantasy points to linebackers. Donald Butler will get his Solos. Let’s hope the statistician gives Takeo Spikes Solos instead of Assists.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Chargers have moved from 15th to 25th in fantasy points given up to quarterbacks. Touchdowns have saved Mark Sanchez’ value over the past two games, but the improving Chargers’ defense means he belongs on your bench.
  • Are you still waiting for RB Shonn Greene? His fantasy value was highest in August, 2009.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Chargers give up the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. Still start Santonio Holmes unless it’s a shallow league. Obviously bench Jeremy Kerley and Plaxico Burress.
  • TE Dustin Keller has five receptions over his past three games.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Chargers give up the second most fantasy points to linebackers. David Harris should atone for his lousy 2 Solo, 1 PD Week 6 performance. Calvin Pace and Bart Scott are decent bye week options.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Chargers give up the fourth most fantasy points to cornerbacks. I wouldn’t go near Antonio Cromartie. Might as well use Darrelle Revis.

Chicago at Tampa Bay (London)

  • As a RB Matt Forte owner, I was not pleased to see RB Marion Barber get so many red zone snaps.
  • The only way WR Johnny Knox can convince Bears’ management to keep him in the starting lineup is if he grows a few inches and gains 30 lbs.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Buccaneers have moved from 16th to 5th in fantasy points given up to tight ends. Stock up Kellen Davis.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Buccaneers give up the fourth fewest fantasy points to kick/punt returners. Stock down WR Devin Hester.
  • DE Julius Peppers’ two sacks in Week 6 was probably wasted on your bench, as he was a surprise active. Be prepared to get him in your lineup, but his injury requires you to monitor his Sunday status for the next few weeks.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Buccaneers have moved from 30th to 18th in fantasy points given up to linebackers. Stock up Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher.
  • New safety starters Major Wright and Chris Conte should be ignored.
  • QB Josh Freeman finally threw for over 300 yards last week, and he didn’t turn over the ball taboot.
  • Although close, WR Preston Parker is leading the Bucs’ receivers in fantasy points. If your league rewards points for special team yardage, then he’s in front comfortably. However, WR’s Mike Williams and “Reety-awrightyArrelious Benn will pass him shortly based on talent. WR Sammie Stroughter’s return is looming which further clouds Parker’s future.
  • RB Earnest Graham, Week 6 (filling in for the injured LeGarrette Blount): 17 Rushes, 109 Rushing Yards, 6.4 Rushing Avg, 2 Receptions, 2 Targets, 22 Receiving Yards. Sure he’s played one more game than Blount, but Graham is now the leading fantasy back on the Bucs.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Bears give up the most fantasy points to tight ends. Stock up Kellen Winslow. His touchdowns are coming.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Bears give up the fourth most fantasy points to defensive ends. Stock up Michael Bennett.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Bears give up the second fewest fantasy points to cornerbacks. Bench Ronde Barber, Aqib Talib, and E.J. Biggers.
  • DB Tanard Jackson, Week 6: 5 Solos, 1 Int, 1 PD. He was gassed in the second half, but that’s good numbers in his first game played in a long time.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Bears have moved from 8th to 18th in fantasy points given up to safeties. Keep Jackson and Sean Jones on the bench.

Washington at Carolina

  • I’m having a hard time comprehending Redskins101.com’s Week 6 Monday analysis. The title “Doesn’t Look as Bad the Second Time” suggests it wasn’t that bad a performance. But then read the bullets and it’s brutal.
  • Astute fantasy owners saw QB Rex Grossman’s demise from a mile away. It’s no big deal in 12-team leagues, but 16-team league owners scrambled for QB John Beck.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Panthers give up the most fantasy points to running backs. I blindly started Tim Hightower last week because of his juicy Eagles’ match-up. I can’t be burned twice, so he’s on my bench this week. Ryan Torain is the player to start. Also ignore Roy Helu.
  • Speaking of that Hightower disaster, did head coach Mike Shanahan really say in his post game press conference he told us all week that Hightower wasn’t going to play? I guess we all missed that info.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Panthers give up the third fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. Stock down Santana Moss and Jabar Gaffney.
  • Were you scared to use TE Fred Davis in the ‘Skins first five games because of TE Chris Cooley, despite him being on pace for 70 Receptions, 106 Targets, 1098 Receiving Yards? Cooley’s broken finger will sideline him for 6-8 weeks. Now you have no excuses.
  • LB London Fletcher, Week 6: 4 Solos, 8 Assists, 2 PD. It’s becoming clear those Solos and Assists will not be reversed for the rest of the season.
  • LB Roger McIntosh has been average all year, but at least he’s been consistent.
  • Make sure you don’t skip over Redskins101’s analysis of DB Oshiomogho Atogwe. “BarryCofield got in the way of the ball. It bounced up off his helmet and right into Atogwe’s hands. This doesn’t mean he’s now shown up… He got lucky and didn’t play a good game.” Atogwe’s stats were aided by a great fantasy match-up.
  • Season-to-date, Rushes plus Targets: Jonathan Stewart 66, DeAngelo Williams 71. No help there. I guess you’ll wait for one of them to get hurt.
  • TE Jeremy Shockey, past five weeks: 6.2 Targets per game, with no less than five in a single game. His stats are mimicking a TE1, while TE Greg Olsen is acting like a WR2. Both are useful for fantasy purposes.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Redskins have moved from 4th to 13th in fantasy points given up to linebackers. Stock down James Anderson. Dan Conner has no value regardless of the match-up, but you should have anticipated that based on the completely different defensive alignment from 2010 to 2011.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Redskins give up the second most fantasy points to safeties. Stock up Sherrod Martin and Charles Godfrey.

Atlanta at Detroit

  • If I owned QB Matt Ryan, I’d feel unsatisfied.
  • Remove RB Michael Turner’s Week 3 clunker, and he’s averaging 21.4 Touches, 115.4 Total Yards, and touchdowns in four out of five games (including two 2-TD games). Perhaps he’s still got some life in those legs. I’m Glad I opted to draft WR Reggie Wayne over keeping Turner.
  • Besides a Week 3 140-yard explosion, WR Roddy White hasn’t topped 78 yards in a single game.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Lions have moved from 24th to 9th in fantasy points given up to tight ends. Stock up Tony Gonzalez.
  • Both LB’s Sean Weatherspoon and Curtis Lofton haven’t had a bad game all year.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Lions have moved from 13th to 24th in fantasy points given up to safeties. Thomas DeCoud has been too good to bench.
  • No way Matthew Stafford is catching Aaron Rodgers, but he’s got a real chance to end the season as the number two fantasy quarterback. You know the “if”, right?
  • The pretend threat from RB Ronnie Brown didn’t materialize, so RB Javid Best only has to fend off touches from RB’s Keiland Williams and Jerome Harrison, provided Best’s brains aren’t scrambled.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Falcons have moved from 16th to 7th in fantasy points given up to wide receivers. Calvin Johnson couldn’t score last week, and should be dumped in all formats.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Falcons have moved from 5th to 17th in fantasy points given up to defensive ends. Bench Cliff Avril. Start Kyle Vanden Bosch, who had one of the defensive highlights from Week 6.
  • LB Justin Durant should be back, so watch the nickel package to see if he or LB DeAndre Levy plays.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Falcons give up the second fewest fantasy points to safeties. Louis Delmas has no turnovers or sacks, so his benching is easy.
  • The “if” is injury.

Seattle at Cleveland

  • If you are a masochist, hope Charlie Whitehurst fills in for an injured Tavaris Jackson at quarterback, and then watch the entire game like Alex DeLarge (Malcolm McDowell) from Clockwork Orange.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Browns have moved from 15th to 25th in fantasy points given up to running backs. Marshawn Lynch has gotten better in four consecutive weeks, but he should be benched in 12-team leagues.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Browns give up the fourth fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. Rookie Doug Baldwin has the most fantasy points on the ‘Hawks, but that’s only because Sidney Rice missed two games. Start Rice if you’re thin at WR, and bench Baldwin.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Browns give up the fewest fantasy points to linebackers. A few years ago, the “Hawks linebacking unit was arguably the best in the league and able to withstand a weak match-up. In Week 7, David Hawthorne, Leroy Hill, and K.J. Wright are not fantasy options.
  • Marcus Trufant’s bad back has shut him down for the year, which means Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond are the starters at cornerback. Browner is a solid fantasy player because the ball is finding him. Wait on Thurmond.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Browns give up the fourth most fantasy points to safeties. Stock up Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas.
  • Madden Curse has tormented RB Peyton Hillis in 2011.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Seahawks have moved from 19th to 8th in fantasy points given up to wide receivers. Rookie WR Greg Little had a strong Week 6 (6 Receptions, 12 Targets, 72 Receiving Yards). WR Mohamed Massaquoi scored, but Little is the receiver gaining momentum. Start both in deep leagues.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Seahawks have moved from 27th to 15th in fantasy points given up to tight ends. Start Ben Watson. Evan Moore could also be used in deep leagues.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Seahawks give up the most fantasy points to kick/punt returners. Stock up WR Josh Cribbs.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Seahawks give up the fourth most fantasy points to linebackers. D’Qwell Jackson is a monster, and has little competition from any other Browns’ linebacker.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Seahawks have moved from 30th to 13th in fantasy points given up to safeties. Start T.J. Ward and hope this is his breakout weekend.

Denver at Miami

  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Dolphins give up the third most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Tim Tebow mania should get off to a good start.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Dolphins have moved from 27th to 17th in fantasy points given up to running backs. Tebow’s inability to throw downfield means lots of check-downs. That should, err, could get RB Knowshon Moreno more involved in the offense. Take what you can get, that is until RB Willis McGahee gets injured. For Week 7, McGahee is must-start, andMoreno is a dangerous flex pay.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Dolphins have moved from 4th to 17th in fantasy points given up to wide receivers. If the RB’s are climbing, it makes sense that the WR’s are dropping. Eric Decker is the only receiver to consider.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Dolphins have moved from 28th to 5th in fantasy points given up to linebackers. Von Miller has sacks in four straight games, but he only averages 3 Solos per game. You can start him, but DJ Williams and Joe Mays are better starts.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Dolphins give up the most fantasy points to cornerbacks. The Broncos secondary has had a few injuries, so it’s hard to say who’s going to get the most playing time. Champ Bailey should be covering WR Brandon Marshall, which makes him an interesting option.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Broncos give up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Andrew Luck isn’t in teal yet, so do you use Matt Moore? Sure, if you’re desperate.
  • Even Reggie Bush looked good against the Jets, that is until his body betrayed him. I think we’re going to see a ton of Daniel Thomas in the very near future. The ‘Phins might as well let him learn on the job.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Broncos give up the second most fantasy points to wide receivers. Marshallis an easy decision, but what about the other guys? Davone Bess gave you 2 Receptions, 21 Receiving Yards, 27 Punt Return Yards, and a Fumble Lost last week, and now you want to start him? Might as well do it, and start Brian Hartline too.
  • Wasn’t TE Anthony Fasano supposed to have skill?
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Broncos have moved from 25th to 15th in fantasy points given up to cornerbacks. Stock up Sean Smith and Vontae Davis.
  • DB Yeremiah Bell looked great vs the Jets. He was constantly near the ball.

Houston at Tennessee

  • The Ravens make many offensive skill players look bad. Don’t fret QB Matt Schaub and RB Arian Foster owners.
  • WR Jacoby Jones, Week 6: 4 Receptions, 7 Targets, 76 Receiving Yards, 1 TD, 1 Punt Return, 4 Punt Return Yards. It’s one game, try not to get too excited.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Titans have moved from 30th to 13th in fantasy points given up to tight ends. Stock up Owen Daniels.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Titans give up the fourth fewest fantasy points to safeties. Bench Danieal Manning and Glover Quinn.
  • Don’t even think about selling low on RB Chris Johnson. You’ll never get fair value at this point.
  • I thought the Texans’ pass defense was supposed to be improved? WR Anquan Boldin gashed them in Week 6 with 8 Receptions, 9 Targets, 132 Receiving Yards. WR Nate Washington is the safest receiver to target.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Texans give up the third fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Bench Jared Cook.
  • Consecutive 7 Solo performances for LB Barrett Ruud.
  • Reminder, CB Jason McCourty is a Top 5 DB, and he’s already had his bye. Example #50 of why you always wait until the end of your draft to select your defensive backs.

Kansas City at Oakland

  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Raiders give up the fourth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Stock up Matt Cassel.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Raiders give up the third most fantasy points to running backs. I think you can find better option in your 12-team leagues than Jackie Battle. But in 16-team leagues, I’d consider starting him.
  • In Week 5, WR Dwayne Bowe’s second TD was of the circus variety, but I’m more impressed with his first TD. I like the subtle nature of the juke which froze the defender, the speed to outrun the defense, and the stiff-arm to finish the play.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Raiders have moved from 10th to 21st in fantasy points given up to wide receivers. Stock down Bowe and Steve Breaston.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Raiders have moved from 26th to 8th in fantasy points given up to tight ends. Only use Leonard Pope if your team is loaded with injuries and byes.
  • I anticipate a bunch of pressure from the Chiefs’ defense based on the Raiders’ quarterback situation. LB Tamba Hali should get a sack or two.
  • And that QB situation involves newly acquired Carson Palmer. Warning, don’t believe anything coming out ofOakland. It’s called coach-speak. How his arm looks. How “in shape” he is. It’s all hogwash. Let Week 7’s game film tell you all you need to know about his short term outlook; that is if he even plays.
  • WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, past three games: 17 Receptions, 28 Targets, 296 Receiving Yards, 1 TD. Psst, that makes him a Top 10 WR in the past three weeks. I’m whispering it because it’s embarrassing to say it out loud.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Chiefs give up the second fewest fantasy points to kick/punt returners. No WR Jacoby Ford bonuses this week
  • DE Matt Shaughnessy is done for the year. Ignore his replacements.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Chiefs have moved from 13th to 23rd in fantasy points given up to linebackers. Stock down Rolando McClain.

Pittsburgh at Arizona

  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Cardinals have moved from 29th to 15th in fantasy points given up to running backs. RB Rashard Mendenhall, Week 6: 23 Rushes, 146 Rushing Yards, 6.4 Rushing Avg, 1 TD. And you doubted him why?
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Cardinals have moved from 10th to 21st in fantasy points given up to tight ends. Bench Heath Miller.
  • LB James Farrior, Week 6: 6 Solos, 5 Assists, 1 Sack, 1 PD. This should be LB Lawrence Timmons’ stats. Unfortunately, Timmons has been moved to OLB where he is struggling, as evidenced by not recording a single stat in Week 6.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Cardinals have moved from 27th to 17th in fantasy points given up to safeties. Stock up Troy Polamalu.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Steelers give up the third fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Bench Kevin Kolb.
  • There are zero players on the Cardinals that can challenge RB Beanie Wells for touches. So it appears the only thing that can stop it are injuries. Sell high.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Steelers give up the second fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. Stock down Larry Fitzgerald. As for Early Doucet, he had a strong Week 5 (8 Receptions, 16 Targets, 92 Receiving Yards). But it helps when your team is getting blown out and your teammate is one of the top three receivers in the game. You shouldn’t even be thinking about him this week.
  • I find it hard to believe that DE Calais Campbell is leading the Cardinals in IDP fantasy points.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Steelers have moved from 10th to 20th in fantasy points given up to safeties. Kerry Rhodes is out with a broken foot, and Adrian Wilson is playing hurt or just plain old (or both). Need proof? Watch how soft he plays the run. He makes that tackle at the 5-yard line in his prime. Cut Wilson.

Green Bay at Minnesota

  • Rushing attempts, past two games: RB James Starks 25, RB Ryan Grant 16. Nine-rush differential isn’t enough to ignore Grant for fantasy purposes.
  • It’s easy to score when the defense plays like the Keystone Kops. Another long TD for WR Jordy Nelson, who has scores in four out of six games.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Vikings have moved from 5th to 16th in fantasy points given up to tight ends. Stock down Jermichael Finley.
  • I knew LB Desmond Bishop was a very safe draft pick with miniscule bust-ability, but he’s now elevated himself to the best LB in fantasy football after six weeks.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Vikings give up the third fewest fantasy points to safeties. Morgan Burnett is one-for-two in having a good week in a lousy fantasy match-up. Last week, he posted 6 Solos, 3 Assists, 1 FF while playing with his right hand wrapped in a cast. I’m sure he could have gotten more tackles if healthy, as evidenced by TE Lance Kendricks blowing past him. Perhaps he used his cast as a weapon to get that forced fumble?
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Packers have moved from 12th to 23rd in fantasy points given up to running backs. Stock down Adrian Peterson.
  • I was very impressed with rookie QB Christian Ponder’s pocket awareness in Week 6 (even though it was garbage time). His presence can only help the Vikings’ receivers. However…
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Packers have moved from 2nd to 14th in fantasy points given up to wide receivers. The Packers’ improved D’ and the rookie’s first game started should have you benching Michael Jenkins, and consider alternative options for Percy Harvin.
  • When you play IDP, which all big boys use, one play changes a clunker to a star performance. DE Jared Allen’s sack, forced fumble, fumble recovery at 12:54 of the third quarter was just fine despite being quiet for 99% of the game.
  • LB Erin Henderson, Week 6: 8 Solos, 1 FF. That’s “Erin” not “E.J.”. Yeah, I was surprised too.

St. Louis at Dallas

  • Remember when QB A.J. Feeley was a hot prospect. What happened? He may be needed for the game this weekend with QB Sam Bradford suffering from a high-ankle sprain.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Cowboys give up the third fewest fantasy points to running backs. Stock down Steven Jackson.
  • Rookie WR Greg Salas, Week 6: 8 Receptions, 10 Targets, 77 Receiving Yards. He was the recipient of extra playing time with the benching of WR Mike Sims-Walker. Now WR Brandon Lloyd is in town, so Salas has to keep working hard for snaps.
  • With Lloyd at receiver, perhaps the Rams can address their awful secondary and move WR Brandon Gibson to defensive back.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Cowboys give up the second most fantasy points to tight ends. Start Lance Kendricks.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Cowboys give up the most fantasy points to linebackers. Stock way up James Laurinaitis. Ignore everyone else.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Cowboys give up the third most fantasy points to cornerbacks. Start Justin King.
  • This is the perfect game for QB Tony Romo to take his frustrations out on a weak opponent.
  • Spoiler Alert: RB Felix Jones is fragile and RB Tashard Choice isn’t that good. Have you acquired RB DeMarco Murray? He’s unproven, but at least we’re not sick of him yet.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Rams give up the third most fantasy points to wide receivers. Stock up Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, and Laurent Robinson. Yea, I said Laurent Robinson.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Rams give up the fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Stock down Jason Witten.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Rams give up the third most fantasy points to linebackers. It’s hard to watch an entire Cowboys’ game without isolating your view on Demarcus Ware. He’s mesmerizing. Ware, Sean Lee, and Anthony Spencer will go bonkers this week.

Indianapolis at New Orleans

  • QB Curtis Painter has been a Top 12 quarterback over the past three weeks. Too bad he has hair like a woman.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Saints have moved from 18th to 29th in fantasy points given up to running backs. Donald Brown scored in Week 6, Hooray! But rookie Delone Carter had 14 Rushes compared to Brown’s five. Bench both this week, and Joseph Addai even if he plays.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Saints give up the fifth most fantasy points to wide receivers. Reggie Wayne needs to score, like asap. Maybe Pierre Garcon will be kind of to share some love.
  • TE Dallas Clark can still make plays if given the opportunity
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Saints have moved from 24th to 14th in fantasy points given up to linebackers. Stock up Pat Angerer. Start Kavell Conner.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Saints give up the fifth most fantasy points to safeties. Stock up Antoine Bethea.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Colts have moved from 25th to 13th in fantasy points given up to quarterbacks. Like you need more reason to start Drew Brees.
  • RB Mark Ingram and RB Pierre Thomas keep eating into each other’s numbers.
  • Say, if this the first time aPierrewill face aPierrein an NFL game?
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Colts have moved from 18th to 4th in fantasy points given up to wide receivers. Now that WR Marques Colston has finally had a big game since his injury (Week 6: 7 Receptions, 11 Targets, 118 Receiving Yards, 1 TD), it’s safe to get him back in your lineup. And start the rest of ‘em too – Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem, and Lance Moore.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Colts have moved from 11th to 25th in fantasy points given up to tight ends. Stock down Jimmy Graham.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Colts give up the second fewest fantasy points to linebackers. Jonathan Vilma hasn’t had more than 5 Solos in a single game.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Colts give up the fewest fantasy points to safeties. The Colts have the fifth worst rushing yards per game, so there’s little opportunity for the safeties to get involved at the line of scrimmage. Stock down Roman Harper and Malcolm Jenkins.

Baltimore at Jacksonville

  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Jaguars have moved from 30th to 20th in fantasy points given up to running backs. Stock up Ray Rice.
  • On a low-def cable feed using a high-def television, WR Anquan Boldin looks like a 275 lb tight end.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Jaguars give up the third most fantasy points to tight ends. Start Ed Dickson.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Jaguars have moved from 5th to 16th in fantasy points given up to linebackers. Stock down Ray Lewis.
  • DE Terrell Suggs had just one assist last week. It’s still more production than Timmons, but c’mon.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Ravens give up the fewest fantasy points to running backs. Hopefully you don’t need Maurice Jones-Drew on Monday night to win your fantasy game.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Ravens have moved from 3rd to 16th in fantasy points given up to wide receivers. Bench Mike Thomas and Jason Hill. Ignore Mike Sims-Walker.
  • Season-to-date, Points Allowed: Ravens give up the second fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Marcedes Lewis will continue to flounder.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Ravens have moved from 23rd to 11th in fantasy points given up to defensive ends. Stock up Aaron Kampman, Jeremy Mincey, and Matt Roth.
  • Past 4 Weeks, Points Allowed: Ravens have moved from 17th to 7th in fantasy points given up to linebackers. Stock up Paul Posluszny, who was the top linebacker over the past three weeks. And you wanted to cut him. Also start Darryl Smith.

Vegas, NFL Spreads Week 7, Season Record 13-10-1

  • NY Jets (+2.5)  vs  San Diego
  • Miami (PK)  vs  Denver
  • Kansas City (+6)  at  Oakland
  • Pittsburgh (-3.5)  at  Arizona
  • Dallas (-12)  vs  St. Louis
