We have our NFC Playoff teams pretty well set now with Green Bay, San Francisco, New Orleans, Detroit and Atlanta all in while the NY Giants/Dallas winner will get the last spot. The AFC isn’t that cut and dry with New England, Houston, Baltimore and Pittsburgh all having secured playoff spots but there is still some chance for movement in the seeds except for Houston who is locked in at the #3 seed. Then you have a long list of scenarios that I’m not going to get into but Denver, Cincinnati, Oakland, NY Jets, and Tennessee all with a chance to get in. Denver and Cincinnati both control their own fate but do have tough matchups.

Tony Romo: If he was on your championship squad like he was on mine you got screwed but good.  Not much we can do now besides bitch and moan. I hate his newsboy hat wearing guts that wuss-filled wuss! Ok, sorry to get so vulgar.  If you are still playing in week 17 it looks like he will play and probably throw for a thousand yards.

Adrian Peterson: He at least got his owners a touchdown before he had his knee totally blown out and totally blown out it was. He tore both his ACL and MCL in his left knee and won’t be able to have surgery until his MCL heals. There’s no way to know the exact timetable but to be an effective running back he won’t be coming back early and may even miss some of next season.

Aaron Rodgers: Yeah, he didn’t sit until he threw 5 touchdowns. Amazingly that was his first ever 5 TD game. The guy has the MVP wrapped up and his team is the clear favorite to win the Super Bowl. Things are going ok for him.

Marshawn Lynch: Beast Mode broke 2 streaks by the 49ers. They hadn’t given up a 100 yard rusher or a rushing touchdown all season until they ran into the Mode of the Beast. He finished with 126 total yards and a touchdown and extended his touchdown streak to 11 games. Damn.

Cam Newton: He broke Peyton Manning’s rookie record for yards passing and totaled 4 touchdowns against the hapless Tampa Bay Suckaneers. He has 34 touchdowns on the season and many, many more to come.

Matthew Stafford: The kid has come on strong to lead some fantasy teams to championships. He threw for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Chargers. He is only 23 years old and dynasty gold.

LeSean McCoy: He was another disappointment for us championship losers. He tweaked his ankle and didn’t do much at all after that. Sad trombone.

Jared Cook: The breakout tight end waited all season to breakout but he did breakout for 272 yards and a touchdown the last 2 weeks. Locker and cook should be a nice duo next season.

LeGarrette Blount: After a fumble on the first drive he was benched. I didn’t have a ton of hope for him but eh exceeded even my expectations of suckitude. He can’t catch or hold onto the ball. That’s troublesome.

Darren McFadden: He may be back for the final game just in time to run for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns while you throw beer at your TV.

Joe Webb: I’m going to go ahead and say he was pretty productive coming in for Christian Ponder after his concussion. He was 4 of 5 passing for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed 5 times for 34 yards and another touchdown. He should get the start in week 17.
