There's some pretty big names in the final installment of our review of the 2012 fantasy football rankings. No doubt there are at least a couple of names in this list attached to teams that missed the playoffs. Looking through them, I can see at least three guys that landed on teams of mine that were in the consolation bracket rather than aiming for gold trophy glory. Overall, it's going to also read like an infirmary ward list as most of the descriptions of their year will start with 'missed time with injuries'. Football has a way of doing that, of course, but those injuries were a difference between being startable every week and being forgotten by week 10. So with that, let's get on with the review. As we don't yet have a player rater, we'll be using yahoo's end of season PPR rankings as our reference. So lets see how our top 60 wide receivers for 2012 fantasy football panned out...

While looking back over a fantasy football season, the guys who round out the top 40 backs in our 2012 fantasy football rankings are usually a combination of injured studs and half season studs and this list will be no different. Of course, my favorites are the 'yeah, but when did you start that guy?' players on the list and there'll be a few of those. Gotta love when RB2 production has been sitting on your bench or out on waivers for 75% of the season. But I digress, for the purposes of this review, we'll be using yahoo's end of season PPR rankings to look back on the season that was for the top 40 running backs of the 2012 fantasy football season...

Now this is the section of wide receivers that's interesting to review for 2013 reasons. Many of these guys were hurt by their QB's poor play or hurt themselves. However, this section is also full of second half bloomers that just might be cheap options come draft day. So strap on whatever you like to strap on to read this type of stuff because we're going to review these wide receivers based off of my 2012 fantasy football rankings and compare my projections with their end of season rankings care of yahoo's PPR system. Ugh, why am I even doing this? I don't know but I started something and I'm gonna end it right and the way it should end with me reviewing all of our 2012 fantasy football rankings and I'm not gonna let the boring topic of kickers impede that goal. There were quite a few surprises this year in the end of year kicker ranks. Of course, that last sentence requires that you care about kicker ranks and how things ended up. Some fan/fantasy favorites like SeaBass didn't quite make it while a couple of young upstarts climbed their way into fantasy relevance. Or at least as relevant as you can get for being a kicker. To clear any confusion, we're relying on yahoo's end of season rankings for kickers in terms of review as we don't yet have our own player rater but - spoilers! - are in the hopes we have one for the 2013 season. I know you just can't wait to see how kickers line up in that! Alright, wordpress has informed me I've now cleared over 150 words about kickers for just an intro so lets get this over with. Here were your top 10 kickers for the 2012 fantasy football season...

In reviewing my top 10 defenses for 2012 fantasy football, it's a firm reminder of why not to worry about drafting a defense as preseason ranking experts - read that as not just me - were probably only 50% right about their top 10 this year. Sure, some of it can be blamed on injury but the reality is this is why you should be pretty comfortable to play matchups more often to start the year while trying to find this year's San Francisco 49ers defense. All that said, to review how we uh...review, we're going to use yahoo's end of season rankings to compare. So with that, let's take a look at how the top 10 defenses for 2012 fantasy football panned out...

Top 20 Tight Ends For 2012 Fantasy Football

A review of the Top 20 Tight Ends for 2012 fantasy football always feels like a lie to me. It really only takes a few good games to get in the top 10 of this position, as you'll no doubt notice. Some of these players went missing for weeks on end; just ask the owners who put their faces on the backs of milk cartons across the US in the hopes that someone had spotted them recently. Outside of the top pick of this tight end group, there was very little consistency to be had and even said player dropped the ball on his team during the championship week. As stated previously - that is if this isn't the first top insert position here that I put up...which it might be...but I don't think it will be - the stats below don't include week 17 seeing as you didn't count them so why should we? And for more full disclosure, we're relying on the yahoo PPR rankings to date through week 16 for our review system. But enough about that, let's get down to brass knuckle tacks and review the top 20 tight ends from the 2012 fantasy football season...
