Normally, I wouldn’t notate the year (or would I !?), but since we’re going through a transitional phase with the years, I did want to make it clear that this particular post is only for help with your Week 16,17, and beyond (for all those weird leagues that use the NFL Playoffs) Championship match-ups. Just in case someone ends up asking us a fantasy question about your 2018 Championship games… and if that’s the case, I’m totally down, since that means you’re from the future. Which is full of robot dragons. That shoot lasers and wear tight leather while blasting Daft Punk. Pretty much the scariest environment imaginable. Anyhow, if you’re still playing Fantasy Football, that means the stakes couldn’t be higher, so yeah, let’s all have a happy holidays, but why not also have a happy championship? Yeah, I don’t really like the ending either, but whatever, we’re going to roll with it. Indiana knows what’s up, that’s how they get to most places.

Much better…

Rankings for Week 17 including our updated Staff Consensus, Player Status Updates, and an opportunity to ask those all so important roster questions to myself, MB, Zach, Kerry, and Reid in the commentary section are after the jump!

PPR, yardage bonus at 50yds for TEs or 100yds for WRs: Jack Doyle, Cooper Kupp, or Keelan Cole

      • YYHELPS says:
        (link)

        @Jay:

        KUPP IS OUT.

I wouldn’t play any ramks players this week. Keelan Cole may end up on the bench due to possible injury, but back to back 100+ yard weeks.

        I’m playing Keelan Cole.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@MrMojoRisin: I don’t disagree with Jay, BUT if you’re looking for highest upside I think it’s Keelan Cole

  2. Steven says:
    (link)

    Hey Guys,

I’m having trouble with my flex spot (W/T). Im struggling between Sanu or Keelan Cole? Suggestions? I’m in a .5 PPR league.

    Thanks!

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@Steven: I’d feel more comfortable with Sanu

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Steven: Death by Sanu Sanu!

  3. Not your average Joe says:
    (link)

How confident are you feeling about having Diggs over Woods and Wallace? Wallace is playing in the rain and wind, but it’s at home against IND and no Maclin. I know GB’s secondary is awful, but do we trust Diggs so much in spite of recent performance and 10 degree weather in GB tonight?

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@Not your average Joe: I like Woods this week actually I’d play him over both

      • Not your average Joe says:
        (link)

        @Unbreakable_mb:

And between Diggs and Wallace? (And why?) I have to play two of the three and I’ve slotted Woods!

          • MB

            Unbreakable_mb says:
            (link)

@Jay: your entire family tree loves my Wood

    • Reid

      Reid says:
      (link)

@Not your average Joe: It should go Woods > Diggs > Wallace. And I don’t think it’s that close for any of them either

  4. RePete says:
    (link)

Truly a coinflip between Gates and J. James at TE this week?

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@RePete: I’d go Gates, better touchdown potential.

      • kingforaday151 says:
        (link)

@Unbreakable_mb: Thinking about starting Gates over Graham in a PPR….I’m thinking 5 catches for 35 yards and a TD is a realistic possibilty, and I’m a little worried about a dud from Graham against Dallas linebackers…..thoughts?

        • MB

          Unbreakable_mb says:
          (link)

@kingforaday151: very plausible and I agree with that logic

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@RePete: Gates is my bro here.

  5. Stuart P says:
    (link)

Bortles, Foles, or Goff? Think I might be leaning Goff given strong TEN run D and weak pass D, and want thoughts.

Opponent is starting Keenan Cole. No WRs for Goff and Foles.

    Thanks!

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@Stuart P: @Stuart P: I really really like Foles this week. I have Bortles as my 6th overall QB, but I think they are all pretty close. Bortles is my answer but no choice is bad

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Stuart P: I’d say Bortles, but yeah, it’s close.

  6. MattyIce says:
    (link)

How concerned are you with Funchess’s injury? I need 2 of Funchess, D. Thomas, Woods, and Dede in a PPR.

    Thanks!

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@MattyIce: Not at all concerned. He practiced on Friday, and is good to go in a great matchup against the Bucs. Start him

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@MattyIce: I’d play Woods and Dede.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MattyIce: I like Funchess and Woods there.

  7. kingforaday151 says:
    (link)

Jimmy Graham, Mike Davis, or Wayne Gallman today, full point PPR….?

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@kingforaday151: Mike Davis, he’s bound to have a good statistical day. I’d fade Graham today

  8. IrishMIke says:
    (link)

PPR Keelen Cole or Kendall Wright over Mike Thomas? Carlos Hyde or Riddick?

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@IrishMIke: do you mean Mike Davis? I’d definitely not play anyone over Michael Thomas. And I’d probably play Riddick

      • IrishMIke says:
        (link)

@Unbreakable_mb: No I just worry about Mike Thomas being decoy

        • MB

          Unbreakable_mb says:
          (link)

@IrishMIke: I’d play Michael Thomas with 1 hand tied behind his back during a nasty bout with syphilus

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@IrishMIke: I’m sticking with Thomas, but I think it’s justified to be a little concerned.

  9. MrMojoRisin says:
    (link)

PPR: Cooper Kupp, Keelan Cole, Jamison Crowder, or Kapri Bibbs for my flex spot?

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

      @MrMojoRisin: Bibbs

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MrMojoRisin: Yeah, Bibbs works. I like Kupp too, but yeah, Bibbs is there.

  10. Matthew Macdonald says:
    (link)

Does Burfict now starting for CIN impact Ebron’s value vs other similar TE’s such as Davis, Clay, James or still start Ebron?

Also Dede or Demaryius Thomas in my WR4 slot?

    Thanks and Merry Christmas!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Matthew Macdonald: A little, but I wouldn’t consider him to have a huge impact here on Ebron. I’m still okay with him, and DT there. Dede is close.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@Matthew Macdonald: Denver is bad against tight ends, I like Davis here

  11. Marty says:
    (link)

    Love this site!!!

PPR Need 2 – Tyreek Hill, Cooks and JuJu….

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

We love you! I like Hill and Cooks there.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@Marty: I’d go Ju Ju and Hill. I think that JuJu is going to have a monster game

  12. eltoo says:
    (link)

Hey guys, staring at the rankings and still having trouble committing to guys at flex (PPR). Currently going with:

    QB: Rivers
    WR: K Allen
    WR: Crabtree
    RB: Kamara
    RB: J Howard
    Flex: Keelan Cole
Flex: Marquise Goodwin (obviously hate the match up, but Jimmy just feeds him)

Bench options: Watkins, Powell, J Stew, Ebron, Gio

    Any thoughts? Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

I like your setup. Good luck!

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

      @eltoo: looks like a winner

  13. MrMojoRisin says:
    (link)

Perine is surprisingly active, would you still pick Kapri Bibbs over Cooper Kupp, Keelan Cole, or Jamison Crowder? (PPR)

    • Kerry Klug

      Kerry Klug says:
      (link)

      @MrMojoRisin: I’d go with Cole

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MrMojoRisin: yeah, Cole works there with a change like this.

  14. Skillz says:
    (link)

I need some help in a hard way….

    Crowder, Richardson, or Wright???

I’m leaning Wright, riding the hot week, and Crowder in a bad match-up.

    Thoughts?!

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

      @Skillz: Wright’s fine with me

    • Kerry Klug

      Kerry Klug says:
      (link)

@Skillz: I like that play. Richardson has the best match-up but is too inconsistent week to week for me.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Skillz: Wright is cool.

  15. MattyIce says:
    (link)

Even with Michael Thomas active, would you play either or both of Juju or Dion Lewis over him today in a PPR?

    Thanks!

    • Kerry Klug

      Kerry Klug says:
      (link)

@MattyIce: if he’s good enough to play, he’s good enough to be in your line-up. I’d keep him in there.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MattyIce: going with Thomas since he’s going, but tough one. I like what MB has been saying about juju

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

      @MattyIce: Michael Thomas in PPR

  16. Mel says:
    (link)

Mike Davis or Isaiah Crowell as an RB3? PPR league, 1 point every 5 carries and 1 point every 5 catches.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

      @Mel: Davis for sure

  17. E says:
    (link)

I can’t wait to choose wrong between Goff and Foles, it’s gonna be fun.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@E: haha, welcome to the club!

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

      @E: who’d you go with

  18. Quick Sycamore says:
    (link)

Im Struggling between Chicago defence and the rams defence. Chicago has a great matchup. But then theres the “guys who got you here” argument and Ive had the rams all season. Very torn at the last minute.

      • Quick Sycamore says:
        (link)

@Jay: Yeah thats what Ive got in right now. Thanks Two Qb league, been number 1 all season but a large margin. Lost Wentz, Rodgers was my backup plan. So now Im sending out Wilson and Trubisky. Here we go!

        • Mike in Busan says:
          (link)

@Quick Sycamore: I went with Chicago’s D, too. Sadly, my opponent had Todd Gurley and CJ Anderson.

          • Quick Sycamore says:
            (link)

@Mike in Busan: I had gurley in a league I won the championship. My opponent had Gurley in the league I lost my championship.

    • YYHELPS says:
      (link)

      @Quick Sycamore:

Are there any other defenses available? Chicago has nothing to play for. Vikings are playing for a home field advantage and the Rams have already stated they are sitting a lot of their key players this week.

  19. goodfold2 says:
    (link)

wow, so nobody even at the end ranked hopkins WAS K. you guys nor at FP.

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@goodfold2: is this a serious thing, nobody for TWO WEEKS NOW, not noticing that WAS in fact does have an active kicker (hopkins). this is just screwy.

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

How weird. I actually took a look at my ranking sheets that I copy over into FP, and the last couple had Hopkins, but he didn’t seem to carry over. Probably half oversight here and half bug over there…

  20. Mike in Busan says:
    (link)

Yeah, so in the end, after all the moves and counter-moves made (including one of my finals opponents picking up a bunch of QBs when my Rodgers got put on IR), both of my title games have come down to “which of us owns Todd Gurley?”
Does he surpass LeVean as the first pick next year?

    • MB

      Unbreakable_mb says:
      (link)

@Mike in Busan: yeah it’s Gurley, not particularly close

      • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
        (link)

        @Unbreakable_mb: likely
        1. gurley
        2. bell
        3. DJ or AB
        4. DJ or AB

        • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
          (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: DJ could easily be the guaranteed 4th by consensus since ARI will assumedly be worse offense than going into this year.

  21. LG Football says:

Thanks for all the help Razzball. Took home the title last night. Goff and Philly DEF came up huge!

    LG

@LG Football: Fantastic to read LG, congrats!

  22. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
    (link)

trubisky or bridgewater in a 16 team dynasty with max 2 QB’s (or really the rule is you can have multiple QB’s from one NFL team and up to 1 from another team OR 2 QB’s max. but it’s fantrax so we can IR stash somebody who doesn’t play for ANY reason, suspension/IR/PUP/bye/shorter term injury, and those don’t count against). currently i have trubisky/keenum/palmer (i’m ARI and need 7 minimum ARI players at all times)

    • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
      (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: wow, i didn’t know you were able to just transfer your old post into your newest one. kewl.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: Yeah, and we have like 29 writers attached to the post so I’m not sure where they all went. I’d say Trubisky, but it’s close.

  23. Fantasygirlxoxo says:
    (link)

    Jay can you help me…
    Standard league…
    Running back situation…
I have Elliott, kamara and I was debating on if I should play McKinnon or Powell for my flex?
    Can you help?!!
    Thanks!!!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Fantasygirlxoxo: Hey FG! Sure, I think I’d go McKinnon there. Good luck!

  24. Sam says:
    (link)

Good morning! Week 17 finalist. Which WR in a standard league? R. Matthews, Tyrell Williams, or Amendola. Might need a HR to make it close. Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Sam: Feeling Matthews there. Good luck man!

      • Sam says:

        @Jay: Thanks!

  25. A Wesley Snipes Life says:
    (link)

guessing yr thinking for sure that PHI benched burton (esp) and ertz, plus they are going with a 3rd string QB. 20 teamer, my only other options (have burton and ertz) are both celek’s. this is the kind of answer where WTF knows really, maybe ertz gets tons of 1st quarter/half targets and ends up better than celek SF, maybe celek PHI plays the whole game and gets all those targets?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@A Wesley Snipes Life: Yeah, this is why Week 17 is so frustrating from a fantasy perspective. Leaning Garrett here.

    • A Wesley Snipes Life says:
      (link)

@A Wesley Snipes Life: nevermind, i see ellison NYG (engram out) is my best bet.

      • A Wesley Snipes Life says:
        (link)

@A Wesley Snipes Life: since i’m only still playing in like 3 leagues total i’m out of the loop somewhat, i remember earlier in week seeing that “PHI will play it’s players” but that could be utter b.s. and/or it could be just 1st quarter, and either way it’s with a 3rd stringer. meanwhile i hadn’t read that engram was out and this ellison also qualifies at RB in yahoo.

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

@A Wesley Snipes Life: Yeah, I bet they put them out there for a little maybe, but they’ve clinched everything. I would expect them to let us down in some manner or form…

  26. A Wesley Snipes Life says:
    (link)

have you seen any news that ogletree is out? he’s not being ranked at FP, albeit only like 4 guys are left ranking anything over there for IDP stuff at this point. i might have to shove jarrad davis in there in that same 20 teamer.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@A Wesley Snipes Life: I actually haven’t seen anything injury-wise… but the team did state they don’t think he’ll play. I think you have to go Davis there.

      • A Wesley Snipes Life says:
        (link)

@Jay: yeah the guys listed earlier in week (AAron, the WR’s, goff, gurley) seemed to indicate any useful starter unless that guy just came back from IR recently. jarrad davis did good too. thus far i’ve gone with what turned out to be my optimalist lineup. projected to win by nearly 30

  27. Ron Weasley says:
    (link)

Would you start Brady orNewton today ? Who is more likely to get pulled out of the game early ?

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Ron Weasley: Tough one because it really depends on the game. I’d probably go Brady, simply because they’ll want that 1 seed and if Brady gets taken out, it’s because he put the Jets away pretty quickly.

  28. Tyler says:
