What’s up everybody, and welcome to another Wednesday, rankings day!!

We have now reached the semifinals in a majority of leagues, and if you have found yourself in this spot, congratulations! However, the work is not done yet, so it’s time to buckle up and crush Week 15 of the National Football League.

Let’s have it!

Players I’m High On

Matt Ryan (@ TB): Proj: 17.01 pts (#7 QB)

The Falcons are in must-win mode as they sit at 8-5 in the 6th seed of an air-tight NFC conference, having to battle off Seattle, Detroit, Green Bay, and Dallas. Well they get a great chance to distance themselves away from the pack as they travel to Tampa Bay on Sunday in a dream matchup against Tampa Bay. I’m not sure if the Bucs will get back Vernon Hargreaves for this game or not, but it shouldn’t matter. Ryan is a great start this week. I’m starting him over names like Ben Roethlisberger, Dak Prescott, Dak Prescott, and even Aaron Rodgers (if he starts).

Latavius Murray/Jerick McKinnon (vs. CIN): Proj: 11.81/7.75 pts (#10/31 HB)

At home in a very positive matchup against the Cincy rush defense, I think you can give the nod to Murray in most leagues as a flex-option, and I’m glad to see Rudy has Murray as a Top-10 back this week. McKinnon is a different story. It honestly depends on who you have, but I have no issues with McKinnon as a PPR flex play.

Devin Funchess (vs. GB): Proj: 9.86 pts (#5 WR)

He’s playing Green Bay at home. Lock and load.

Zach Ertz (@ NYG): Proj: 4.99 pts (#13 TE)

The Giants continue to give up production to the TE position every single week. If Ertz plays and you have him, there is no way you can sit him.

Players I’m Not High On

Alex Smith (vs. LAC): Proj: 15.80 pts (#12 QB)

Sure, they are at home, and Smith has looked better in the past two weeks than usual, but I still wouldn’t trust him this week on my team against the Chargers. This secondary is pretty legitimate, and they’ve done a great job all year of limiting production to the QB. You’ve got to keep him on your bench this week.

Doug Martin (vs. ATL): Proj: 7.30 pts (#34 HB)

It was a good matchup last week for Martin as the lead back, but there is no way you can start him in the semis this week. The strength of the Atlanta defense is their rush D, and although Martin has some volume to his name, you’ve got to bench him.

Tyreek Hill (vs. LAC): Proj: 8.82 pts (#10 WR)

For Hill, it’s all about who you have that you can start over him, but I’m not loving the matchup against this defense and secondary. If you have Hill, let me know who else you have in the comments below and we can figure it out like a team.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins (@ NO): Proj: 3.75 pts (#24 TE)

It’s a very tough matchup for ASJ, and if you have better options, you’ve got to use ’em.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, that is my time for today. Remember, let’s win this fantasy championship together, so if you have any and all lineup questions, send ’em. I’ll see you guys tomorrow for another episode of the Razzblitz podcast.

    Hey Zach,

I’m gunning for next year and in a little bit of a keeper bind.. I can keep 7 players in a 2 QB PPR league. Hoping you can help me narrow it down a little bit.

    Tyrod Taylor – 5th round
    Derrick Henry – 7th round
    Julian Edelman – 8th round
    Cooper Kupp – 9th round
    Kelvin Benjamin – 9th round
    Jimmy Graham – 11th round
    Alvin Kamara – last
    Josh Gordon – last
    Juju Smith-Schuster – last
    Jamaal Williams – last
    Kenyan Drake – last
    Marquise Goodwin – last
    Teddy Bridgewater – last

    Thanks for the help!

@Prknz: Obviously a lot can happen and things are subject to change.. but any help is appreciated

      (link)

      @Prknz: 7 players? Let’s do this.

Kamara, Gordon, Graham, Edelman, Kupp, Williams, Goodwin. I honestly don’t think Bridgewater or Taylor have much value moving forward.

  3. Jake says:

Gotta decide between AJ Green, Dez and Fitz. I am currently leaning Fitz or Dez Green has a horrible matchup and Cincy sucks who would your choice be ?

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@Jake: I think I’d go with Dez and Fitz, yeah.

  4. Vin says:
    (link)

    Hunter Henry or Jack Doyle?

    Stafford or Foles?

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@Vin: gotta think staff has produced more than enough to not get foles-benched.

    • Zach

      Zach says:

      @Vin: Stafford and Doyle.

  5. Stuart says:

Couple tough playoff picks, would appreciate thoughts:

WR: Mike Evans or D Thomas?

    QB: Goff, Mariota, or Bortles?

    • Zach

      Zach says:

      @Stuart: Thomas and Bortles

  6. Pink Doves says:

    .5 ppr.

I’m torn with the Dak or Ryan decision..

At RB Gordon or Morris. I can see Al bert having a lot of touches in a positive game script likely.

WRs. I have Hill but I’m not as low on him as you. My only bench WRs are C. Coleman vs Balt, C Davis vs SF and Parker vs Buff. Just can’t see sitting Hill down for one of them.

DST. Cowboys vs Oak, Buff vs Miami or Zona vs Wash.

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@Pink Doves: I think you need to go with Dak, Gordon, Hill, and Cowboys D/ST

  7. Damien says:
    (link)

I’m not excited about my WR matchups this week, need to choose 3.

    AJ Green @ MN
    Tyreek Hill vs. LAC
    S. Diggs vs. CIN
    J. Gordon vs. BAL

appears CIN & BAL may not be as legit going into week 15.
Please let me know what you think.
    thanks!

    • Zach

      @Damien: Gordon, Hill and Green

      @Steve: @Damien: I love Baltimore’s D this week

  8. Steve says:

Better DEF to start Denver @ Indy on a Thurs or NO at home v Jets on Sun?

Also, like Bortles this week against a weak Texans secondary?

    Thanks

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

      @Steve: New Orleans, and yes.

  9. Mike says:
    (link)

JuJu or Robby Anderson over Tyreek Hill? UGH! Rodgers or Dak?

    • goodfold2 says:
      (link)

@Mike: wouldn’t touch any NYJ player now at all. rodgers.

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@Mike: I think Hill is a better option, and Dak

  10. goodfold2 says:
    (link)

wow, that’s a strong statement saying you’d start ryan over BOTH dak’s

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@goodfold2: I adjusted my ranks. I think Dak will do better

      • goodfold2 says:
        (link)

@Zach: yeah i agree at least one of the dak’s will do better. i’m referencing this line:
” Ryan is a great start this week. I’m starting him over names like Ben Roethlisberger, Dak Prescott, Dak Prescott, and even Aaron Rodgers (if he starts).”

        • Zach

          Zach says:
          (link)

@goodfold2: Yeah no those were my thoughts Tuesday night, but I’m higher on Dak now after a bit more research

    Hi Zach :
    team 1
QB : Cousins, Keenum, Rivers or Prescott ? started Cousins all season… Keenum on bench, 2 others on FA!!
WR3: Kupp , Woods, or Juju ? or Dede Westbrook on FA?

DEF : i have Cin and Hou ,,, NO and BUF on FA ?

( is Amari Cooper Droppable at this point? )

    thanks , Nick

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@Nick: SUP NICK!!!!! Rivers, Dede Westbrook, New Orleans and yes, drop Cooper

  12. Drekkan says:
    (link)

    I have Hill in a one game semi-final. It’s 2RB, 2WR, 1 Flex. My options

RB: Jordan Howard / Kenyan Drake / Jay Ajayi
WR: Tyreek Hill / Adam Thielen / Alshon Jeffrey / Kenny Stills / Paul Richardson / Marqise Lee

Pretty obvious to start Howard/Drake at RB and Thielen at WR. From there… eh… it’s kinda a morass.

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@Drekkan: I think you should roll with Howard/Drake, Hill/Thielen and Alshon in the flex

  13. Duke says:
    (link)

Do you think it would be crazy to play DeDe Westbrook over TyFreak Hill in PPR? I really don’t like the matchup at all but also would have never seen myself playing a Jag Rookie WR in a playoff match haha

Also, I’m completely torn on playing Roethlisberger or Rodgers, and I see you have them back-to-back. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to start Rodgers in a fantasy league but stashed him on IR a few weeks ago. Just a gut feeling but leaning toward starting him…

    • Zach

      Zach says:
      (link)

@Duke: I really like the matchup for Dede, but I still think you should go with the floor of Tyreek. You’d be much more disappointed if you benched Hill and he blew up than Westbrook.

As for the QB position, honestly I think you should go with Roethlisberger. I’m concerned about Rodgers rushing back from injury on the road in Carolina, and I’d much rather have Roethlisberger at home against a banged-up Pats D on a short week.

thanks for the great rankings all season! got a tough decision to make for the playoffs. who do you like in FLEX this week? Need to start one:

L Miller v. JAX (been trash since watson went down)
    Kupp v. SEA
    Dede v. HOU

PPR format. Devin Funchess or Tyreek Hill? Eric Ebron or Vernon Davis? Lamar Miller or Ivory (assuming Uncle Leonard out) Thanks for a great season!

    Alex Collins or Latavius Murray
Have Tyreek Hill, but contemplating with Richard Matthews . Seems there are too many options for A. Smith to choose from in KC.

Other WR I have are B. Cooks and Marvin Jones Jr.
    Thank you for the insight!

Zach, my man, I’m in a tough spot.
I have to fill 3 rb slots. The first one is a no brainer, Kamara but the next two are driving me nuts. I have Hyde, Latavius, Stewart and Mike Davis. I know most would start Hyde but I don’t like his time share situation in addition to the tougher run defense of Tenn. Leaning towards Latavius and Davis but I also like Stewart’s matchup too. Whatta you think?
