Players I’m High On

Matt Ryan (@ TB): Proj: 17.01 pts (#7 QB)

The Falcons are in must-win mode as they sit at 8-5 in the 6th seed of an air-tight NFC conference, having to battle off Seattle, Detroit, Green Bay, and Dallas. Well they get a great chance to distance themselves away from the pack as they travel to Tampa Bay on Sunday in a dream matchup against Tampa Bay. I’m not sure if the Bucs will get back Vernon Hargreaves for this game or not, but it shouldn’t matter. Ryan is a great start this week. I’m starting him over names like Ben Roethlisberger, Dak Prescott, Dak Prescott, and even Aaron Rodgers (if he starts).

Latavius Murray/Jerick McKinnon (vs. CIN): Proj: 11.81/7.75 pts (#10/31 HB)

At home in a very positive matchup against the Cincy rush defense, I think you can give the nod to Murray in most leagues as a flex-option, and I’m glad to see Rudy has Murray as a Top-10 back this week. McKinnon is a different story. It honestly depends on who you have, but I have no issues with McKinnon as a PPR flex play.

Devin Funchess (vs. GB): Proj: 9.86 pts (#5 WR)

He’s playing Green Bay at home. Lock and load.

Zach Ertz (@ NYG): Proj: 4.99 pts (#13 TE)

The Giants continue to give up production to the TE position every single week. If Ertz plays and you have him, there is no way you can sit him.

Players I’m Not High On

Alex Smith (vs. LAC): Proj: 15.80 pts (#12 QB)

Sure, they are at home, and Smith has looked better in the past two weeks than usual, but I still wouldn’t trust him this week on my team against the Chargers. This secondary is pretty legitimate, and they’ve done a great job all year of limiting production to the QB. You’ve got to keep him on your bench this week.

Doug Martin (vs. ATL): Proj: 7.30 pts (#34 HB)

It was a good matchup last week for Martin as the lead back, but there is no way you can start him in the semis this week. The strength of the Atlanta defense is their rush D, and although Martin has some volume to his name, you’ve got to bench him.

Tyreek Hill (vs. LAC): Proj: 8.82 pts (#10 WR)

For Hill, it’s all about who you have that you can start over him, but I’m not loving the matchup against this defense and secondary. If you have Hill, let me know who else you have in the comments below and we can figure it out like a team.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins (@ NO): Proj: 3.75 pts (#24 TE)

It’s a very tough matchup for ASJ, and if you have better options, you’ve got to use ’em.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, that is my time for today. Remember, let’s win this fantasy championship together, so if you have any and all lineup questions, send ’em. I’ll see you guys tomorrow for another episode of the Razzblitz podcast.
