Players I’m High On

Tyrod Taylor @ NYJ: Proj: 15.52 pts (#10 QB)

I would have liked Taylor even without his newest weapon in Kelvin Benjamin in this matchup against the Jets, but now you just have to like him even more in this matchup. The Jets give up close to 24 fantasy points per game to the QB position, and Taylor should excel in this matchup.

Adrian Peterson @ SF: Proj: 12.96 pts (#5 RB)

Now that it’s looking like David Johnson won’t make it back this year, and with HC Bruce Arians now fully committing to AD, it’s all systems go for the veteran running back, especially this week against a 49ers defense that gives up 113 yards and 0.75 TD’s per game to the RB position.

Jarvis Landry vs. OAK: Proj: 10.74 pts (#3 WR)

Now that Jay Ajayi is out of the offense, and with the potential that Jay Cutler could return this week, it’s looking like a great matchup for Landry against this weak Raiders secondary that surrenders nearly 30 points per game to the WR position.

Jack Doyle @ HOU: Proj: 7.94 pts (#6 TE)

Jack Doyle had himself quite a week against the Bengals last week, and if his role stays the same in this offense this week as well, which I think it really could, he draws a good matchup against a defense that surrendered a lot of production to Jimmy Graham last week.

Players I’m Down On

Kirk Cousins @ SEA: Proj: 12.37 pts (#22 QB)

They may get some of their pieces back, but last week showed that Cousins doesn’t have an offensive line, and on this west-coast road trip, I’d rather have another QB to pick from.

Jay Ajayi vs. DEN: Proj: 8.54 pts (#22 RB)

First off, for those of you that have Ajayi, trade him now while his value is sky-high. There’s no way, in my opinion, that Ajayi is the lead or bell-cow running back in Philadelphia. Pederson loves him some RBBC, and Ajayi is just another piece in the backfield. Especially for this week against Denver, I don’t see how you could start him.

Pierre Garcon vs. ARI: Proj: 6.11 pts (#35 WR)

The Cardinals have had a bye to prepare for this 49ers offense, which really just flows through Hyde and Garcon. Garcon should see Peterson, which is a big nope for me. Maybe next week he’ll crush it with Jimmy G. Who knows? I clearly don’t.

Cameron Brate @ NO: Proj: 7.01 pts (#8 TE)

I’m not too low on him, because you pretty much have to start him if he’s your only TE option, but just keep in mind this Saints defense has done a good job of limiting TE production in the past.

Alright guys, that about does it for me. Good luck to everyone in Week 9, and as always I’ll see you guys tomorrow on the Razzblitz podcast and next Wednesday to do this all over again. If you have any questions, leave one below! Take it easy.
