It is that time of year. Football is about a month and a half away from meaning something again and that means that our fantasy football drafts are just weeks away. I’ll be moving around these rankings from time to time, but I feel pretty good about these at this point in time. Here are a few notes that I feel to be applicable.
– Lesean McCoy is going to be a tough case to crack. If there is a suspension for the alleged crimes that he is accused of, it might not be by week one. The NFL drags it’s feet a lot of the time when things are not cut and dry. Lesean McCoy has not been formally charged with a crime at this time despite the damning allegations. I can’t begin to guess a time frame so I am going to avoid the situation altogether from a fantasy standpoint. I put him as a third round value until further notice.
– This is a personal preference thing, but I have Le’veon Bell at #4 overall. Todd Gurley, Le’veon Bell, David Johnson, and Ezekiel Elliott are all in the same tier for me. I put Bell at #4 at this point until there is more certainty on his availability for week one. When you are drafting someone this high, the prospect of the player playing 16 games is very important.
– I moved Ronald Jones down after initially being very hyped about him. I still think he can be an elite rookie back, but Peyton Barber will probably cut into his early workload.
-I like Pierre Garcon a lot and hope to have a lot of shares.
– I’m going to write about trying to get Larry Fitzgerald everywhere. My ranking of him properly reflects where I will be targeting him. You probably don’t need to go this high, but we will see.
-As far as I’ve seen, there is no plan to suspend Robby Anderson at this point and I was initially worried about that. If Robby Anderson is on the field, he will be dynamic and outperform his outside-of-top-100 ADP.
