Remember when in-season trades never happened in the NFL? That was so, so, so long ago. This season we have had several notable players moved ranging from all-pro defensive backs to noted aerospace engineers (Josh Dobbs). However, the trade of Emmanuel Sanders has opened the opportunity for Courtland Sutton to continue his rise to fantasy glory. Sutton had already made a second-year jump prior to the trade and is currently sitting as the WR12 in half-PPR leagues. Sutton’s metrics support his rise to prominence with his player profiler athletic comparison being Alshon Jeffrey. He is 9th in weighted opportunities, top 20 in air yards, and top 20 in targets per game. His quarterback already stinks out loud so any mid-season change to a rookie, if Drew Lock were to get healthy, should have a minimal effect on his rest of season play. Expect the Denver Broncos to remain generally pesky as they fulfill a 5-6 win team destiny, and their air game to funnel through Courtland Sutton for the remainder of the 2019 season.

We're more than half of the way through the NFL season, and with more star players landing on the injury report, we're forced to spend our waiver claims on backup players that have been forced into starting roles, like Ty Johnson in Detroit (more on that below). Let’s talk about some of the players who landed on the injury report this week.
With trade deadlines approaching quickly, this column will be coming to an end in its present form. But for the next two weeks, I will still try to give you those trades to make to hopefully, build a playoff roster in your league. Did you Buy Adam Thielen on the cheap? Did you get out in time on Austin Ekeler? I hope you did. If not, there is no use living in the past. So, let us move forward and find some more moves you can make to improve your team.

B_Don and Donkey Teeth are joined by MB at the midway mark of the fantasy season (at least for those of us smart enough not to play week 17).

MB_Donkey discuss the recent trades.  How to deal with the fallout of Mohamed Sanu to the Pats and Emmanuel Sanders to the 49ers. The guys give you an idea of what kind of FAAB bids their putting on some of this week's hot pickups.

The trio also talk about the Chiefs and Falcons following significant injuries to Mahomes and Ryan. They also discuss how the Davante Adams injury may have shaken up the WR pecking order in Green Bay.

We had another awesome week for Razzball football rankings. Rudy put the team on his back and finished 1st for week 7 in the FantasyPros accuracy contest. If you're keeping score at home, Rudy has a first and second place finish through 7 weeks so far this season. We are halfway through the season, it's time to get serious. You can still subscribe to Rudy's tools after a 7-day free trial! You did click here for my rankings so here you go!
MattWi77iams & Nick Faber break down the latest moves in fantasy football including the Sanders & Sanu trades, along with Kerryon going to the IR. Players discussed: Emmanuel Sanders, Mohamed Sanu, Kerryon Johnson, Ty Johnson, JD McKissic, Austin Hooper, Calvin Ridley, George Kittle, Dante Pettis, Deebo Samuel, Kenyan Drake, Adrian Peterson, Alfred Morris, Chase Edmonds, David Johnson.
Kerryon Johnson was ruled out during Sunday's bout against the Minnesota Vikings with a reported knee injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday that Kerryon is expected to miss a couple of weeks. Ty Johnson led the backfield in snaps on Sunday and will be this weeks top RB waiver add. JD McKissic, who was slightly more efficient with his touches than Ty, is a speculative add in deeper formats and for RB needy owners in PPR leagues. If Kerryon's injury is longer than 1-2 weeks, don't be surprised to see the Lions make an acquisition at the running back position. Jay Ajayi and LeGarrette Blount are names to watch, unless the Lions make a trade with another NFL team. Both Ajayi and Blount have had workouts for other NFL teams in recent weeks. Either would be worth a bench stash if acquired. Kerryon and the Lions running game has underwhelmed this season, tied for the 11th worst in the league in yards per rush attempts (3.8) and 14th worst in yards per game. Unless you own Kerryon or have huge holes at the RB position, I would not waste top waiver priority position OR blow my FAAB money. We know Ty Johnson is expected to take over the #1 spot, but there is too much uncertainty. The Lions could make an acquisition or decide to treat the backfield like a true RBBC with McKissic, until Kerryon returns.
There’s nothing more frustrating than a pickup recommendation that looks bad on the surface because of a bad performance in a tough matchup. I think you know where this is going. Let’s chat about Sam Darnold. I’ve been touting Sam Darnold since last Tuesday when I filled in for Boof and submitted the waiver wire column for you, my faithful readers. I even put Sam Darnold as my pickup of the week for the FantasyPros waiver wire blurb this week.
Real quick want to bring up Sunday tinkering. In a league where I have Patrick Mahomes, Davante Adams and Alvin Kamara (I promise I won't talk about my team for long, but it's my column, so bear down with me) I knew it was a loss after Mahomes went down Thursday night with seven points. I had no good flex, so I put Chase Edmonds in. Great call, right?

B_Don and Donkey are back talking pick-ups again on this week's Razzball Fantasy Football Podcast: Waiver Wire Edition. Both of the hosts compile a list of five players owned in under 50% of leagues, including Ty Johnson, Chase Edmonds, A.J. Brown, Derrius Guice, Allen Lazard, Kenny Stills and a few others. Listen in to find out how to prioritize these guys.

Donkey and B_Don also discuss some names owned in 5% of leagues or less. The deep league list includes Olabisi Johnson, Danny Amendola, Jay Ajayi, Ryquell Armstead and Irv Smith Jr. And don't miss out on everyone's favorite segment, A-hole of the Week.
