With RazzBowl 7 and Scott Fish Bowl 15 drafts behind us and the maiden voyage of our first ever, invite-only @RazzballNFL (Home – Razzball Fantasy Football) Guillotine League and PPR Redraft leagues, I bring to you one of my favorite articles…Bold Predictions.  Now, before you roast me for the predictions that follow, please know that anyone can call themselves bold when telling you how the first two rounds of each draft should shake out.  To me, that is not only not bold, but also lazy and boring.  Below you will find bold with capital B for the 2025 season.  Side Note: You may even see some predictions you did not hear during our recent podcast, same subject.

We have three coveted spots remaining in our PPR Redraft league.  The key to receiving an invite from one of our writers is to comment on an article and/or show up and chat with us during our Tuesday night podcast.  We want the best, brightest managers that enjoy our Razz brand.  Let me know if you are interested in filling one of the final three spots.

Remember to check in with the @Razzball NFL team of writers as we host our You Tube podcasts where we chat all things off-season fantasy football, fantasy football draft season, and maybe weave in some music and pop culture chatter.  Join Sky @SkyGuasco, The Lineup Builder @Derek_Favret, Jeff @Jefferson__21, Dave @crewser128, Ben @FantasyFirstDwn and me, Matt @stiles08 on out various You Tube pods as we answer your questions thus keeping you informed for the 2025 draft season.  Come for the analysis and stay for the laughs!

Now…let’s get into the bold!

Bold Predictions

Emeka Egbuka and Matthew Golden will outscore Tetairoa McMillan and Travis Hunter in full PPR leagues.  When I presented this on the podcast, the first comment received was ‘I think you have those names backwards.’  No sir, I do not.  In fact, I hand the listeners one of these reverse draft predictions each year.  It is easy to tout the higher draft picks but who else is going to deliver ‘Brian Thomas Jr. and Xavier Worthy will outscore Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze’ like I did in 2024?  Exactly…nobody is going to give you such hot takes because they cannot stand being wrong.  I have no issue missing from time to time because these bold predictions drive discussion and interaction.  I am here for the heat…bring it!

Garrett Wilson will NOT be a Top 24 WR (mainly because of Justin Fields).  Shaking your head already?  Hear me out.  Justin Fields is clearly NOT a pocket passing QB that can or has proven able of supporting a true WR1.  When Fields was a league winner, he was waiver wide fodder that escaped the pocket and ran his way to fantasy titles.  The second reason to consider this to be an incoming bad year (non-Top 24 year) for Wilson is the Jets WR2.  If anyone truly believes Josh Reynolds has the pedigree or history to be a true (NFL) WR2 then I have some 2007 Tatum Bell shares to sell you.

Rome Odunze will finish higher than DJ Moore in PPR leagues.  Is DJ Moore done?  Nope, he is still a viable fantasy asset.  At his current ADP cost (WR20), I much prefer Odunze (WR38) that is currently being drafted almost a full three rounds later.  Word out of Bears camp is that DJ Moore is not picking up the Ben Johnson offense as fast as the new head coach wants while Odunze and sophomore QB Caleb Williams appear to have great chemistry and connection within the new offense.  With Johnson stating the goal is to get Moore more touches out of the backfield (jet sweeps and the like) instead of compliments on this route running, hands, etc., I am happy to pass on DJ Moore in the first four rounds while scooping up Odunze in the late 7th, early 8th.  Please be aware Odunze is starting to creep up draft boards, so do not wait to draft the young WR.

Ricky Pearsall not only finishes as the San Francisco WR1, he ends the 2025 campaign as a top 15 PPR WR for fantasy.  No more Deebo.  Jauan Jennings wants more money and has asked to be traded (this talk has diminished but it was out there at one point), Brandon Aiyuk is not trending in a positive direction coming off injury.  That leaves superstar players CMC and George Kittle to command the most defensive coverage thus allowing for our guy Ricky P to flourish.  Remember, the 49ers spent first round draft capital only one season ago.

Rashee Rice does not get suspended at the September 30th hearing due to some solid lawyering, pushing the suspension to 2026, and finishes as a Top 10 WR.  This entire saga seems to be much more about litigation and precedence than it does about the NFL just handing down a 6-game suspension, allowing negotiation to 4-games, and everyone feels OK about the outcome.  Rumor is that the NFL started discussions by proposing a 10-game suspension.  Clearly the Rice legal team balked at the lengthy suspension when there is no precedence for 10 games.  Now, my bold prediction is that this will be all about legal maneuvering throughout the 2025 season versus a simple suspension that garners head nods from both sides.  Couple those things with the recent changes in the NFLPA and we have the making of my bold prediction that has me grabbing Rice as he falls down draft boards.

Jakobi Meyers finishes as a Top 24 WR jumping names like Jerry Jeudy, Zay Flowers, DK Metcalf, Chris Olave, Deebo Samuel, and others that are currently being drafted ahead of him.  Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty will command the most attention from opposing defenses, leaving Meyers available to run into open spaces.  I am confident Geno Smith will lean heavily on Meyers considering the Vegas WR2 is totally unproven.

Let me know where you think I am right and wrong with these Bold Predictions comment with some of your own.  Also, follow me @stiles08 on Twitter/X and send questions comments at the bottom of this article.  Make sure you jump around the Razzball site for all your fantasy football needs.
