With the start of RazzBowl7 drafts on Monday, I feel it is time to address the elephant in the room.  Sure, I love discussing my top WR breakouts and bargains, but I also need to hop over to the negative side of the ledger and discuss WR I am currently, and probably consistently fading in 2025 drafts.  If you are like me, and my guys over at @RazzballNFL (Home – Razzball Fantasy Football), you are geeked about your #RazzBowl7 draft, so comment with the picks you started with, picks others made too early, players that slipped, and your general thoughts on how your draft is progressing.  Is it going to plan or did that blow up in the first couple rounds?  Are you on brand or do you not recognize your current/early build?

We are also adding a Razzball G-League and a Razzball Listeners League for those folks that are long-time readers and followers that we often see comment on our articles and/or those that pop into our podcasts, especially the Sunday Morning Start-Sit show during the regular season.  If interested in one of the leagues, please drop me a note at this article and we can discuss your future in those leagues.

I digress.  Today, I am going to plant a few flags for WR that I am fading love that others may be sold on.  Feel free to provide your fades in reply to this article. I will respond to all comments and questions.  Also, remember to check in with the @Razzball NFL team of writers as we host our You Tube podcasts where we chat all things off-season fantasy football, fantasy football draft season, and maybe weave in some music and pop culture chatter.  Join Sky @SkyGuasco, The Lineup Builder @Derek_Favret, Jeff @Jefferson__21, Dave @crewser128, Ben @FantasyFirstDwn and me, Matt @stiles08 on out various You Tube pods as we answer your questions thus keeping you informed for the 2025 draft season.  Come for the analysis and stay for the laughs!

My WR Fades

  • Player: Chris Olave
  • Team: New Orleans Saints
  • Current (early) ADP: WR36, Overall 77

If your name is not Alvin Kamara, then I want nothing to do with you in fantasy football for the year 2025.  Couple Tyler Shough (who?) with Olave’s injury issues and I am not touching him this season.  The talent is there but the situation and injury concerns far outweigh drafting Olave as a top 36 WR especially with Addison, Odunze, Waddle, Deebo, and Diggs going the same tier.  Hard pass for me.

  • Player: DJ Moore
  • Team: Chicago Bears
  • Current (early) ADP: WR22, Overall 47

Word out of camp is that DJ Moore has been slow to pick up the Ben Johnson offense.  Add to that the second word out of camp being that Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze have really clicked, and you have the makings of a drop for Moore.  I doubt we see the DJ Moore of 163 targets (2021 in Carolina) ever again.  In fact, with the additional mouths to feed in Chicago (Odunze, Swift, Loveland, Burden), I fully expect to see a decline in his 140 targets from 2024.  Positive note here is that Moore is getting some run out of the backfield during camp.  Not enough for me to draft him as a WR2 when I can nab DeVonta Smith, Courtland Sutton, Xavier Worthy, and George Pickens in the same tier.

  • Player: Jerry Jeudy
  • Team: Cleveland Browns
  • Current (early) ADP: WR33, Overall 73

The scariest fantasy football QB room in the league, not residing in Louisiana in my opinion, is the Cleveland Browns.  The Browns traded for Kenny Pickett for some unknown reason.  Browns front office doing Browns front office ‘stuff’, I guess.  Then, they drafted Dillon Gabriel and Prime Time’s son one round apart.  Add to the mix 67-year-old Joe Flacco who appears to be running with the first team with Pickett nursing an injury and you have the makings of an ugly situation for Jeudy (and Njoku/Tillman).  If we hear Flacco is the starter coming out of camp, I will probably buy Jeudy but I doubt we get 2023 off the couch Flacco so my expectations are tempered.

  • Player: Travis Hunter
  • Team: Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Current (early) ADP: WR31, Overall 68

A lot of hype with no guarantee he plays all snaps on offense.  Plus, my guy Brian Thomas Jr. is on the other side balling out.  I am happy to let someone else pay up for the hype train that is Travis Hunter, and I am OK being wrong if he flashes in 2025.  Give me Chris Godwin or Calvin Ridley who are going as bookends around Hunter as of this post.

Let me know where you think I am right and wrong with the list of ‘My Guys at WR’.  Also, follow me @stiles08 on Twitter/X and send questions comments at the bottom of this article.  Make sure you jump around the Razzball site for all your fantasy football needs.
