S Budda Baker traded to the New York Jets

The Cardinals are in a rebuild, and Baker wants out, so it seems like only a matter of time before he’s dealt. The Jets just lost Chuck Clark for the season. Safety is by far the weakest position on this Jets’ defense. Adding another star player to this defense could take it to another level.

WR Hunter Renfrow traded to the Atlanta Falcons

Renfrow has been rumored to be on the trade block, and the Falcons make perfect sense for him. Besides Drake London and Kyle Pitts, the pass catcher’s room in Atlanta is not great and has basically no depth. Renfrow would be an immediate upgrade over Mack Hollins and Scotty Miller. If the Falcons really want to see what they have with Desmond Ridder, then they should get him all the weapons they can. Renfrow is still a really solid option when he’s healthy, so this makes sense for both sides.

LB Patrick Queen traded to the Houston Texans

The Ravens didn’t pick up Queen’s fifth-year option. DeMeco Ryans is a defensive-minded coach who could go absolutely nuts over adding a young stud LB like Queen to his defense. Houston is loading up, and Queen is a guy who could be there for the long haul if they bring him in.

DE Chase Young traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers

It hasn’t been sunshine and rainbows for the former #2 pick in Washington. The Commanders didn’t pick up his fifth-year option, and it seems inevitable that Washington will deal him while he’s a hot commodity rather than waiting and letting him walk. Chances are they would want to trade him out of the conference, so Pittsburgh makes a lot of sense. They need another true defensive end opposite Cam Heyward, and even though Larry Ogunjobi is serviceable, his ceiling is nowhere near Chase Young.

RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire traded to the Arizona Cardinals

CEH was actually a first-round pick for the Chiefs (crazy, right?) but has been pushed out of the room with the emergence of Isaiah Pacheco. At 24 years old, he deserves a fresh start, and I think he and James Conner would be a serviceable backfield for a not-great Cardinals team. At the very least, the depth alone should make the Cardinals interested. CEH is an upgrade over Keontay Ingram. So, this is a move worth making for both teams.
