We’ve officially entered the time of year where red Q’s enter your dreams chasing you through your high school naked while your high school crush is looking on. Don’t fret though — I’ve got you covered — not with the dreams though. Seek help.
If you’ve got specific questions for your league — drop them in the comments!
Josh Adams, RB, Shoulder: Limited in practice = not limited on Sunday. My take: Will play, flex him if necessary. He’s become the Eagles starting RB and has performed pretty well in that role, but gets a tough opponent in the Cowboys.
Danny Amendola, WR, Knee: Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald is saying he spotted Amendola at Wednesday’s practice like this is some kind of real life Where’s Waldo. Amendola missed week 13 which is a surprise that he lasted that long into the season. My take: Will play, bench him. Amendola is on the wrong side of his performance bell curve this season. You probably have better options.
Chris Carson, RB, Finger: Carson dislocated his finger, but the whole team is still expecting him to play for the Seattle Seahawks. But should he play for your team the “Sexual Thielens?” My take: Will play, flex him if necessary.
Randall Cobb, WR, Hamstring: Cobb dropped a 29 fantasy point bomb in week 1 and has scored 31 points since. My take: Will play, flex him if truly desperate.
Isaiah Crowell, RB, Toe: The fact that he didn’t practice on Wednesday is a bit concerning, but I think he’ll still be in there. Crowell’s last rushing TD came against these Bills in week 10 so there’s that. My take: Will play, flex him if necessary.
Kenyon Drake, RB, Shoulder: He was slightly limited in practice Wednesday, but I’m thinking this is just a precautionary measure. My take: Will play, flex him.
Eric Ebron, TE, Back/Illness: I’m thinking this is nothing but an illness rest day. He probably watched Price is Right and Nick Jr. My take: Will play, start him.
Evan Engram, TE, Hamstring: Engram has only played in 7 games and has only played well in 2 of them. Signs are pointing up for Engram since he practiced a little on Wednesday. My take: Will play, start him if he’s your best option. He hasn’t been good this season, but he hasn’t really been healthy this season either.
Kenny Golladay, WR, Quadriceps: the fact that he was only limited makes me believe he’ll be ready to go for week 14. My take: Will play, start him.
Melvin Gordon, RB, Knee: Gordon missed week 13 with this knee injury and didn’t practice Wednesday. I know it sucks, but… My take: Won’t play. The Chargers care more about their real time than your fantasy team.
Jimmy Graham, TE, Thumb: He’s played through this injury twice already and Graham actually had his most catches this season last week. My take: Will play, start him if he’s your best option.
Rob Gronkowski, TE, Back: He’s a little banged up, but was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. My take: Will play, start him.
T.Y. Hilton, WR, Shoulder: Hilton missed practice due a shoulder injury that he fell on in week 13. My take: Will play, start him. I think he’s just getting additional time off to recover.
DeSean Jackson, WR, Thumb: He sat out with a thumb injury? He’s less of a man than Jimmy Graham! He didn’t practice on Wednesday which doesn’t look good for his week 14 status. My take: Won’t play.
Kerryon Johnson, RB, Knee: The Lions aren’t making the playoffs so why risk a 50% Johnson for a meaningless December game? My take: Won’t play.
Julio Jones, WR, Foot: I think this is a veteran star rest situation. Yea, it’s concerning that it’s his foot and all that comes with that, but it’s late in the season and Jones has put in a lot of work this season. My take: Will play, start him.
Joe Mixon, RB, Foot: You know my rule. Limited = good to go. My take: Will play, start him.
Cam Newton, QB, Shoulder: He’ll be questionable every day, he’ll play every Sunday. My take: Will play, start him.
David Njoku, TE, Knee: Limited at practice, you know what that means. My take: Will play, start him.
Calvin Ridley, WR, Hand: limited at practice, but he’s been up and down since his explosive weeks 2 through 4. My take: Will play, flex him if necessary. The Packers have allowed the third most fantasy points to WRs so there are opportunities abound for Ridley.
Sterling Shepard, WR, Ribs: His owners were probably loving the potential he showed in weeks 3, 4 and 6 — but he hasn’t reached those numbers since. My take: Will play, flex him if necessary. The Redskins have allowed the third most receiving yards to WRs this year.
Matthew Stafford, QB, Back: He’ll play for the Lions, but not for you. My take: Will play, bench him unless you’re in some kind of 4-QB nightmare league.
Michael Thomas, WR, Ankle: With two disappointing performances in a row you have to wonder if this ankle injury is something that’s been lingering for a little while. He didn’t practice on Wednesday, but my mind’s eye is telling me that the Saints are being cautious with one of their best players. My take: Will play, start him.
Sammy Watkins, WR, Foot: Watkins hasn’t really played since week 9, but was quite productive before his injury. The fact that he was limited at practice is obviously a good sign — but we’re not completely out of the woods just yet. My take: Will play, flex him if necessary. The Ravens have allowed the second-fewest receiving yards to WRs.
DeShaun Watson, QB, Shoulder: He’ll play. The Texans are headed to the playoffs thanks to Watson and that defense. My take: Will play, start him.
