Now that the trade deadline is over, players can settle with their team and focus on the rest of the year. We are in prime time playoff push and it is time to make some smart decisions to help us get there. This week I have some interesting streamers that will fill in while your starters are on bye.
Quarterbacks
Derek Carr (OAK): Derek Carr gets a juicy matchup against the Detroit Lions who rank 32nd against the pass. Carr also looked pretty good against the Texans although they didn’t win. I expect this to be a relatively high scoring game so we should expect Derek Carr to have plenty of opportunities and potentially payoff as one of my top streamers this week.
Sam Darnold (NYJ): He faces the Dolphins who have been horrible all season. The Jets haven’t necessarily played horrible but there is room for improvement. I expect them to come out hot against the Dolphins and Darnold should be the main reason why. This is also a divisional game so expect Darnold and the Jets team as a whole to play very well.
Wide Receivers
Preston Williams (MIA): He has been receiving plenty of targets recently and I expect him to get plenty of opportunities in this game as well. I expect the Jets to control this game but Williams should find some room to get some catches in this game. If he scores a touchdown then he would definitely pay off but if not, I still expect him to be pretty solid.
Demaryius Thomas (NYJ): As you can tell, I’m targeting this game a lot and to pair someone up with Sam Darnold, I chose Thomas. He has seen his targets increase throughout the season and he is inline for a big game. With the Dolphins having a banged up secondary, he should get open a lot and take advantage of his opportunities.
Kickers
Dan Bailey (MIN): He is a top 10 kicker as of now and he is going against the Chiefs who gives up a lot of points. I expect the Vikings to put him in some good spots, so Bailey sets up to be a great streamer this week and maybe a keeper as well.
Matt Prater (DET): He is also a top 10 kicker and he gets to face off with the Raiders. The Lions should put up a lot of points this week and Prater should benefit from that.
Defenses/ST
Dallas Cowboys: The Giants have been awful this year and the Cowboys need to keep winning if they don’t want the Eagles to takeover the division. I expect them to dominate and force a couple of turnovers.
Seattle Seahawks: They get a home matchup against the Bucs who are turnover heavy. Winston has been struggling with keeping the ball so we can expect a few picks in this one.
