Movin’ On Up
- Cordarrelle Patterson saw a season high 59% snap rate to go along with all of his production to start the year.
- Latavius Murray has lead the Ravens RBs in snaps for back to back weeks with 63% and 51%.
- In what went from AFC ‘Ship Preview to blowout quickly (so to speak with a rain delay in the middle of it), Zack Moss had 74% of the snaps.
- While Damien Williams got the score, it was Khalil Herbert that lead the Bears in snaps without David Montgomery available, and he saw 53% of the snaps in week 5.
- For back to back weeks, D’Andre Swift has seen higher than 70% snaps.
- With no Amendola, Chris Moore was the WR3 for the Texans this week at 63%. Could be something to monitor if they move Brandin Cooks.
- After seeing only 32% of snaps in his first appearance since being acquired in week 4, Dan Arnold saw 74% of the snaps in week 5 for the Jags.
- With Will Fuller and DeVante Parker out in week 5, Preston Williams saw 74% of the snaps and was 2nd on the team to only Jaylen Waddle.
- Sans Dalvin Cook, the Vikings gave 66% to Alexander Mattison and 18% to Ameer Abdullah while using C.J. Ham more to block with a season high 48%.
- Devine Ozigbo saw the 2nd most snaps for the Saints at RB with a whopping 13%.
- Kenny Still saw a season high 71% of the snaps in week 5.
- Devontae Booker saw 91% of the snaps with Saquon leaving early.
- Quez Watkins was 2nd on the team in snaps for the first time all season, behind only DeVonta Smith.
- Miles Sanders saw a season high 76% snap rate in week 5.
- Alex Collins got 71% of the snaps without Chris Carson available for the Saints. DeeJay Dallas (22%) and Travis Homer (12%) split the remaining work.
- Elijah Mitchell saw 68% of the RB snaps for the 49ers. No other RB (Kyle Juszczyk is a FB) saw more than 5%.
Some Things Stay the Same
- Chase Edmonds has been between 59% and 67% snap rate every week. James Conner hasn’t seen more than 50% yet.
- After Javonte slightly edging out MG3 in week 4, Melvin had a season high 61%.
- After seeing a bump in week 4, A.J. Dillon dropped back below 40% in week 5.
- Jonathan Taylor still hasn’t seen more than 56% or less than 46% snaps.
- Even with the return of Jalen Richard, Josh Jacobs saw his highest snap rate of the season at 70%.
- Michael Carter has seen between 43% and 53% of the Jets snaps outside of week 1.
- Antonio Gibson continues to hover in the high 50% and low 60% of snaps while J.D. McKissic stays in the low to mid 40s.
Not Great Bob
- After seeing 37% of the snaps in week 4 sans CMC, Rodney Smith has been released and it was Chuba Hubbard (65%) and Royce Freeman (20%) splitting the work.
- In his return, Joe Mixon saw 29% of the snaps this week. Would expect to see him closer to his normal workload this week and I’m starting him where I have him.
- Blake Jarwin saw a season low snap rate in week 5. If it wasn’t clear already, it’s Dalton Schultz’s job.
- Quintez Cephus has been lost for the season. At least in week 5, it was Amon-Ra St. Brown, Kalif Raymond, and Khadarel Hodge (in that order) that lead the team in snaps at WR.
- With Clyde Edwards-Helaire leaving this one early, Darrel Williams (43%) lead the way with Jerick McKinnon seeing 31%.
- After a week of 90% snap rate in week 4, Darrell Henderson dropped down to 66% in week 5 with Sony Michel seeing the other 34%.
- After starting the season pretty even with Robert Woods in snap rate, Van Jefferson has seen his snap rate drop for the 4th straight week.
- For the first time since week 1, Hunter Henry did not out snap Jonnu Smith (they were tied).
- With no Sterling Shepard and Kenny Golladay leaving this one early, no receiver on the Giants saw more than 62% of the snaps.
- Najee Harris saw a season low at 65% of the Steelers snaps with some mild cramping during this one. Expect him to be back to his usual 90% and higher this week.
- Despite leading in snaps all season, O.J. Howard was the tight end that saw more snaps in week 5 with 59% compared to Cameron Brate at 38%.
