Whew, the “bye-pocalypse” is over. Now on to Week 8. It gets better. There are only two teams on a bye this week: the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers. NFL 2022 Week 8 IDP Waiver Wire.
Unfortunately, for some, that will eliminate two of the top three players on both sides of the ball. For IDP players, it eliminates one player on the defensive line and the other, a top defensive back from last week. But that is why we have waiver wire options.
The top three defense teams were: Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans, and the Arizona Cardinals. In case you are streaming defenses and wondering, the top defenses were against the Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints. The Colts will have a different quarterback under center, and the Saints may have a different quarterback under center.

Jay Tufele, Defensive Tackle, Cincinnati Bengals:
In Week 7, Tufele was on the field for 21 snaps. Per Pro Football Focus, he led the Bengals in rush-defensive grading with an 80.6. He finished the game with six total tackles.
It would be nice if he were on the field more, but in a pinch, he can help.
Denico Autry, Defense End, Tennessee Titans:
In the last two games, Autry has been on the field for 72% of the defensive snaps. In his past four games, he has collected five sacks. He currently has a 74.3 pass rush grade from PFF and 10 total tackles, nine hurries and four quarterback hits for the season.
Grover Stewart, Defensive Tackle, Indianapolis Colts:
For the season, Stewart has collected 35 total tackles and two sacks. This includes his 12 total tackles last week. In the past two weeks, he has had 17 total tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack.
Although his PFF pass-rush grade is a lowly 57.0, he has a 76.2 run-defense grade and a 73.7 overall.
Darrell Taylor, Defensive End, Seattle Seahawks:
In the last two games, Taylor has collected a sack. Last week he finished the game with two tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one sack.
He is trending up, so ignore his abysmal 36.6 run defense grade and concentrate on the 70.2 pass rush grade.
LINEBACKER NFL 2022 Week 8 IDP Waiver Wire
Divine Deablo, Las Vegas Raiders:
Last week Deablo was on the field for 100% of the defensive snaps. He collected 11 total tackles and one tackle for loss. Since Week 1, he has been on the field for 100% of the defensive snaps (Week 1, he was on the field for 94%).
Quay Walker, Green Bay Packers:
Walker played 73% of the defensive snaps in Week 7, up from the 69% he played in Week 6.
Last week he collected 13 total tackles, two quarterback hits, and one pass defended.
Quincy Williams, New York Jets:
Williams saw a decrease in his defensive snaps last week, going from 81% to 52%. The decrease in time led to a noticeable decrease in tackles going from 14 total tackles to five.
Monitor his status as he was returning from an injury. If he is good to go, trust that last week was an aberration.
DEFENSIVE BACKS NFL 2022 Week 8 IDP Waiver Wire
Ryan Neal, Safety, Seattle Seahawks:
Neal played 100% of the snaps despite getting IV fluid a few hours before kickoff. He finished the game with seven total tackles and one interception. In his last two games, he has had 14 total tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble, one interception and five passes defended.
Donte Jackson, Cornerback, Carolina Panthers:
Jackson’s on-field play percentage increased from 46% in Week 6 to 94% in Week 7. In addition, he went from two total tackles to 10 total tackles. Jackson is trending up, and the Panthers play the Atlanta Falcons this week. While the interception opportunities will be limited, there will be plenty of opportunities to increase his tackle quota.
Damar Hamlin, Safety Buffalo Bills
