As promised, the Top 50 pre-draft rookie rankings are here — just in time with the NFL Draft less than 10 days away. These rankings blend RAS scores, mock draft projections, and historical hit rates to help separate signal from noise. Spoiler alert: Wide Receivers remain the riskiest investment of all positions. Expect these rankings to change after the NFL Draft, so be sure to check back for my updated version. Let me know in the comments where you agree — or where I completely missed the mark.

Rookie Previews
- Player: Ja’Kobi Lane
- Dynasty Rookie Rank: Overall 27 | WR15
Fantasy Impact: Lane brings the size you want in a red-zone weapon and should translate into a touchdown producer at the next level. He posted 12 TDs in 2024 before injuries derailed his follow-up campaign, limiting him to just four scores. He excels in contested catch situations, showing strong body control and an ability to win at the high point. The concern is a limited route tree, which could push him into the Day 2/Day 3 range in the NFL Draft. Still, he projects as a potential WR2 with upside if he stays in his lane.
- Player: Seth McGowan
- Dynasty Rookie Rank: Overall 29 | RB8
Fantasy Impact: One of the most physically gifted running backs in this class, McGowan backed it up with the second-highest RAS score among RBs, trailing only Mike Washington Jr. The size-speed combination jumps off the page, and he flashes starting-caliber upside. The red flag is his winding college journey, four schools since 2020, which will likely impact his draft capital. That said, he’s done enough to rebuild his image and stock. His upside makes him an intriguing late-round swing in rookie drafts — and one that could claw his way up your roster fast.
- Player: Bryce Lance
- Dynasty Rookie Rank: Overall 30 | WR16
Fantasy Impact: Lance — along with Ted Hurst — headlines the small-school standouts after both crushed the Combine with elite RAS scores. Don’t overlook the production: Lance dominated at the FCS level and checks a lot of boxes. He brings a full route tree, 4.34 speed, and reliable hands with an impressive catch radius. If he lands in a system willing to develop him, Lance could easily outperform his draft slot and become a third-round steal in rookie drafts. Be sure to buy some of his stock while you can!
- Player: Adam Randall
- Dynasty Rookie Rank: Overall 37 | RB11
Fantasy Impact: Randall is the last running back I feel confident in projecting meaningful touches at the next level. A converted wide receiver following a path similar to Antonio Gibson and Tyrone Tracy Jr., he offers versatility and a strong athletic profile. He can line up all over the field and already shows above-average pass protection. A key factor in earning his stripes faster than expected. More than just a gadget player, Randall offers sneaky upside with relatively low risk in the late third or early fourth round of rookie drafts.
- Player: Tanner Koziol
- Dynasty Rookie Rank: Overall 46| TE6
Fantasy Impact: Could I interest you in a 6’7”, 250-pound TE with 4.70 speed and a top-tier RAS score, who led all TEs in the nation with 96 targets and 74 receptions? Meet the Koziol Colossus — he may not be an X-Men, but hope that piques your interest. Koziol is destined to be a matchup nightmare against opposing defenses and has a chance to be more in the right offense. If he lands with modest (Day 3) draft capital, expect his stock to rise quickly post-draft.
- Player: Taylen Green
- Dynasty Rookie Rank: Overall 50| QB6
Fantasy Impact: Green is your classic developmental quarterback with elite physical tools. He boasts a big arm and rare athleticism, highlighted by a blazing 4.36 forty — the fastest among QBs. The downside? Accuracy and mechanics remain inconsistent, particularly on short and intermediate throws. With proper coaching, there’s room for growth. Worst case, he carves out a gadget role; best case, he develops into a dynamic dual-threat option. He’s a worthwhile dart throw for taxi squads, especially in leagues with extended eligibility.
