Your playoffs are most likely over and you’re probably looking for something to do with all that cash you just pocketed thanks to Razzball’s fantastical weekly futbol advice. Or maybe you got throttled and are looking for something else to pump your funds in to drown your sorrows. While we here at Razzball would never advise anyone to act in such a degenerate manner (wink wink) we have no problem giving you fake advice about fake points so you can blow real cash! Excited yet?
In all seriousness though, if you haven’t checked out FanDuel, now is the perfect time with the traditional fantasy season coming to a close. Come on in the water’s fine.
Kyle Orton $5,700
Joe Webb $6,300
Matt Flynn $5,000
Josh McCown $5,000
Orton is up against the team that cast him aside for the first time and that usually means something, especially for a player who’s out to prove he should have the starting gig next season. Denver’s defense has been playing average as of late too. Webb’s value is dependent on whether or not the Vikings decide to hold out Christian Ponder. The situation has been difficult to read with conflicting messages coming from Minnesota’s coaches, but if he does get the nod he’s worth a buy. Flynn has played well in limited action this season and should get plenty of garbage time in what will most likely end up being a meaningless game for both teams involved. McCown gets the horrid Vikings pass defense and should post 15-20 points.

Despite a tougher matchup than last week, Bell should have no problem earning his paycheck (and yours) with no competition for touches and a plethora of dump-off opportunities from game manager Josh McCown. Word out of Cowboys camp is that Jones was limited last weekend because the game was essentially meaningless, and that he’ll be ready for a heavy workload this week. The Cowboys will be forced to pull out all the stops against a Giants defense that has been porous at best. McGahee gets a Kansas City run defense giving up the 8th most points to running backs. Oh and did I mention the division and the playoffs are on the line? Expect big things from him. Gerhart should be more of the same, 15-20 points with little to no upside; more than fine for his price tag. Thomas will get the nod since Reggie Bush is out and while it’s not exactly the best matchup, I do expect the Dolphins to lean on him and see what they have heading into 2012. Spiller will be part of the Northeastern shootout and should post huge numbers through sheer attrition. I’m sure with their season in shambles there’s nothing more the Bills would like than to spoil the Patriots home field advantage. Ivory, Saine, and Hunter are all guys that should see unusually high workloads as their team’s respective starters are rested for the playoffs. Any one of them could be a super sneaky 20 points.

Jones is a bit of a gamble as he has a minor injury and the Falcons may be locked into the 6th seed by the time their game starts, but he’s still the leading fantasy receiver over the past three weeks and the opponent is Tampa Bay. You do the math. LaFell has been disappointing as of late, but with nothing to play for but pride, and injuries above him on the depth chart he should have a favorable game against a putrid New Orleans secondary. Meachem and Young should benefit from starters being rested and might even become focal points of the offense once the second team takes over. You’ve got to love garbage time. Floyd has been on fire as of late and with Vincent Jackson nowhere near 100% he should be in line for another big day. It helps that he gets a pathetic Oakland pass defense. Austin at this price, in a must win game, and up against a team with a bad secondary is probably the value of the week. Given the shootout the last time these two teams played it’s entirely possible that this is your number one wide receiver for the week. Williams and the Titans are in a must win situation and if they go down early, will be forced to throw predominately. Thomas is simply a huge value with the upside he provides and like McGahee above, it helps that there is so much at stake. Expect him to give 110%.
Kyle Rudolph $4,700

Though far from consistently productive, Rudolph has quietly been siphoning snaps away from Visante Shiancoe over the past month. He’s an unbelievable redzone talent and I have a hunch he gets at least one score this weekend, which would be enough to justify his super cheap price tag. Cook has been displaying the talent we all knew he had the past two weekends, and despite an unfavorable matchup against the Texans I still feel comfortable rolling him out there for $5,300. Brent Celek is Brent Celek and as long as he’s back to form I’ll be suggesting you play him.
Miami Dolphins $5,000
The Dolphins are out for blood this weekend after having victory snatched away from them by the Patriots. If they manage an early lead on the Jets like I think they will, Sanchez will be forced to do what he does not do best which is win the game with his arm. The ‘Phins should prey upon him.
