Hey there Razzballers! Just wanted to casually give a quick pat on the back to myself for saying Andrew Luck wouldn’t play this year. He was officially put on IR Thursday and this Indy team is looking like a top-5 pick waiting to trade it away at the draft. Here’s the rest of the injury news you need to know:

All Falcons players are a go this week even though I don’t like the matchup against Luke Kuechly and the Carolina Panthers.

Lamar Miller should play, but if they get up by a lot early (hint: they will) then I think D’Onta Foreman could be a sneaky flex play if you have a lot of your big guns on bye this week.

AARP Cardholder Leonard Fournette (seriously though, does anybody actually believe he’s under the age of 45?) will be playing and looking to dominate on the ground.

Emmanuel Sanders will be a gametime decision but this is a terrible spot regardless. Between a team from the West traveling East (first red flag) and Brock Fucking Osweiler manning the helm at QB (all of the red flags), I’m not starting any Broncos this week.

Delanie Walker for the Titans is day to day with an ankle injury. He’ll be a gametime decision. Rookie TE Jonnu Smith could be a sneaky addition for what should be a hella boring game against the RavensCorey Davis should draw back into the lineup and we’ll have to wait and see how he looks. He could be a valuable waiver wire add for those of you who owned OBJ.

All viewers of the Cardinals vs. 49ers. Holy hell is this game going to suck to watch. I believe, and I hope it’s just a bad dream, that we will be watching C.J. Beathard battle Drew Stanton in a game that should set football back 25 years.

Jamison Crowder and Jordan Reed are both battling injuries and are not in the best of spots this week regardless of whether they play or not. I don’t think either will, but keep an eye on them Sunday morning if you really need to start one of them. The only player on Washington that I’m considering playing is Chris Thompson because he’s an animal. Seattle’s secondary should have a rebound performance after getting absolutely torched by the Texans.

Jimmy Graham is back on the injury report (Drink!) for what I’m assuming is a maintenance day. He’s scored in each of his last 3 games and has a quality spot against Washington. I’m starting him in all formats.

Another addition to the “I told you so” collection is Ezekiel Elliot starting the suspension this week. I told you a couple weeks ago he was going to have to pay the piper at some point and here we are. Looks like Alfred Morris will start, but this is just not a good RB group behind Elliot. Dez Bryant should be fine and I expect 10+ targets for him as long as they keep him away from Marcus Peters.

Smokin’ Jay Culter and DeVante Parker will be starting this week against the Raiders in a matchup of two disappointing teams (Thanks NBC!). Oakland is pretty atrocious on defense and if the worst offense in the league were ever to find a game where they could score, this would be it.

Again, to all of the people who dismissed me when I said Luck wouldn’t play a snap this year or that Elliot would not have to serve his suspension this season: Told ya

Thanks for reading everyone. Post in the comments section below any questions or concerns and I’ll try my best to address them!

  1. Ryan DeLeo says:

Osweiler or Savage ROS for depth in 2 QB league?

    • Reid

      Reid says:

@Ryan DeLeo: uhhhh those are not great options. I’d almost rather grab someone like Keenum if he’s available (or Bridgewater as a stash). If you are forcing me to choose between those two, I’ll go with Savage only because he’s had extended reps with the 1’s

  2. Hockey Dude says:

    Good evening:

In a vacuum, Antonio Brown/Dion Lewis side or …Melvin Gordon/Doug Baldwin

    • Reid

      Reid says:

      @Hockey Dude: Evening dude

I’m taking the Gordon/Baldwin side on this one. While Brown is better than Baldwin, Melvin Gordon is way better and more reliable on a week to week basis than Dion Lewis

  3. Cubjet says:

Just lost Watson. Have Winston, who isnt a for sure play this week. My other option is Mccown tonight or Brissett.

Would you roll with mccown or wait it out and start Winston if he plays out plug in Brissett if he doesn’t?

    Thanks in advance

    • Reid

      Reid says:

@Cubjet: So McCown obviously would have done well for you. Sorry bout that. I may or may not have been out at a bar getting ready for the game by that point.

Between Brissett and WInston, I’m probably going with Brissett because the matchup is better. Houston will be deflated with the Watson injury and primed for a letdown game. Their defense isn’t very good either after all the injuries they’ve sustained.

  4. Tony Montana says:

0.50 PPR, 14 team league, likely playoff bound

In a bad spot RB back wise with Zeke’s suspension, and WR are ok but nothing special. Have Wilson as my starting QB and Stafford on my bench. Have shopped Stafford but the only offer out there right now is D Henry and Doctson from the guy who just lost Watson. FA is pretty barren with it being a 14 teamer. Think I should go ahead and take it?

  5. Tweak says:

Just lost both Watson and Garcon. I snagged Carr to replace him, but will bounce between him and Mariota for the ROS. I was able to find Martavis Bryant on the wire to plug into Garcon’s spot, so I hope he gets his crap together in the 2nd half of the season.

As for Chris Thompson, it’s so tough for me to start him over my Freeman and Hyde, but he’s been their equal in terms of total output so far.

20 team redraft PPR. i have way better RB depth than WR. need some sort of WR3 upgrade. have:
    RB (start 2, 1 flex): gurley/collins/j.allen/forte/morris/drake
    WR (3) crabtree/hill/beasley/wright/golladay
    TE (1) ertz
have these offers see which you’d have higher. my team is barely 2nd in points, but due to luck and divisional standings i’m only in 6th (only 6 make playoffs as well)
    1. my collins for shepard
    2. my collins + wright for benjamin (but would have to start one of my crappy WR this week)
    3. my morris + wright for parker (actual deal right now is morris/beasley for moncreif/parker but i’d prefer to keep beasley, and don’t even know which of wright/moncreif/golladay i’ll be dropping shortly for a TE backup, lost miller, it’ll probably be sims)

jaywrong/maher prefer to keep morris, MB is on collins holding side.

    • Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves says:

@Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves: SOB, the “2 day trade time” didn’t mean 2 calendar flips, it meant at least 48 hours, this being the case does the benjamin one open back up since none of these can help me this week and i’m probably about to put r.shepard CAR in WR 3? or should i take the zeke is playing news for this week to mean he might continue to and move morris/beasley for moncreif/parker right now?

  7. Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves says:

props to reading the utter lying of IND’s front office. dirty dirty humans over there. one razzballian actually went out of his way to tell people to grab luck in around the 6th round. earliest i’d have ever gone was maybe the 11th, but i never got that chance as either autopickers or silly people grabbed him before that in all leagues.

  8. Spock Lobster says:

I recall Sanders having some success with Brock Fucking Osweiler when he started back in 2015. He was averaging something like 5/83 in six games, which in PPR isn’t too bad for a WR3. Something like 13.3 pts or 10.8 in half PPR. If he could add any TD’s, might be serviceable.

Just playing devil’s advocate here, I’m sure he’ll be a dumpster fire.

Any thoughts on Goodwin to replace IR’d Garcon? I’m thinking about him or Watkins over Sanders, but I can’t help but hope he rekindles his connection.
