B_Don’s 2025 Rankings with Auction Values

I dropped the initial run of my rankings on the 4th of July. Since then, I’ve made some adjustments, and will continue to make adjustments. However, as somebody that once swore off non-competition (RazzBowl, Scott Fish Bowl, etc.) snake drafts, here’s some guidance for those of you have taken the next step and enjoy auction drafting. If you’ve never tried auction drafting, what are you waiting for? You’re not ready? You never will be with that attitude. Once you decide to finally try and auction draft, I swear you won’t want to go back, or even spice it up with a slow auction draft (my personal favorite). 

My most important auction draft item, a spending tracker. I layout some possible options based on how I might want to spend my auction budget. If I just spend freely, I’ll be more broke than the Duke brothers at the end of Trading Places.

So, tracking my spending during the draft helps me understand how many more big swings I can take and where to prioritize. If you look at the mid draft tracker, I know I have 7 spots and a defense to fill on $53, and I’ve always budgeted myself $1 for a DEF, so $52 for 7 spots. That means I can choose to take 2 big swings at $20 guys and fill the rest with low budget or can take a number of $7-$10 guys to round it out (in reality, it was probably poor spending, because the best guys are probably gone and you’ll overspend on what’s left, but that’s not the point). Tracking your spending helps you from having a full team of $1 players, unless that’s your thing.

 My rankings will change over time. So, go check my rankings page for updates to those, but these values can give you a guideline at least based on tiers and overall. There’s usually a $65 player mixed in, but I don’t feel that any one player separates themselves at the top enough to make that comittment this year. However, I’ve yet to be in a single auction draft where the top guy goes for my auction dollar value. If you want a top player, you’re going to pay up and you’ll have to adjust elsewhere. Where I see the grouping at the top and say none are worth $60+. Somebody else may see that grouping and say they are all worth $60+ and then just have a bigger drop off somewhere in their values.
