*Buy, Sell, Holds released by Anime Donkey prior to week 7—Amine Donkey says ignore the Miles Sanders buy due to injury*

I’m bringing this week’s buy/sell column to you from Sin City, where I haven’t slept since I arrived Saturday afterno&*xnak;lsf. Sorry, dozed off for a minute there. I have to be on the brief side this week because every minute I sit here typing is a minute I’m losing money. They’re literally giving money away downstairs. FREE MONEY GIVEAWAY!! Do you know who else is like free money right now? Antonio Gibson. The Football Team’s lead back is getting no mainstream respect because J.D. McKissic rears his ugly head in the passing game from time to time. The past two weeks Gibson has played less than 50% of the offensive snaps which isn’t great, but that’s also been driven by heavily negative game scripts along with his shin injury. After having gone bust each of the past two weeks, now is the perfect time to acquire Gibson, who I’d expect to produce solid RB2 numbers rest of season with backend RB1 upside. Who’s ready to gamble with me? Can I get a loan? Anyway, here’s some more players to buy or sell this week in fantasy football:

BUY

Kenny Gainwell – Is Miles Sanders my new Kerryon Johnson? Why hast thou foresaken me, fantasy football gods!? Move forward you must, young Jedi. The rookie Gainwell will be a top waiver add this week as we prepare for the worst results from Miles Sanders’ ankle x-rays. Truth be told, I’m not certain the young man’s workload is going to skyrocket even if Sanders misses a ton of time, so I won’t be breaking the bankroll for him. But if he’s cheap, or free, make sure to add him in case I’m wrong.

Boston Scott – Here’s the Philly back I’ll be targeting aggressively on waivers this week, pulling a zag as everyone zigs for Kid Gainwell. Scott is a veteran who I’m guessing the coaching staff might trust to carry the early down workload in Sanders’ absence. He handled 7 carries vs. 5 for Gainwell against the Raiders, and while Gainwell did out snap Scott in the contest, a big part of that can be attributed to the Eagles playing from way behind the entire second half. Granted the Eagles could be playing from behind often by the looks of it!

Kenyan Drake – With Gruden out of the picture, Drake now seems locked in as the number two back here in Vegas. Jacobs left this week’s game with a chest injury, fortunately, he’ll have their upcoming bye week to try to get healthy. Regardless, Drake should be rostered now just to see and he holds very nice upside if Jacobs does miss time down the road.

Samaje Perine – There were rumblings of Perine taking over a large chunk of the passing work out of the Cincy backfield prior to his untimely COVID-related absence. Now that he’s back, this could still be the case. I have a feeling this could be more of a committee moving forward than Joe Mixon owners would like.

Rashod Bateman – The big rook is settling in nicely alongside Hollywood Brown and Mandrews. His 12 targets in his first two career games, along with staying on the field for two-thirds of the Ravens’ offensive snaps, show that both Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore coaching staff are high on Bateman.

Michael Gallup – It sounds like the Cowboys’ third receiver might be back in week 8. It’s hard to say what his target share will look like behind Lamb and Cooper, but he was dropped in a ton of leagues due to the injury and he still has nice upside considering how often Dallas passes the ball. There are also rumbings that he could be traded away, which makes a lot of sense and could make him a much more enticing fantasy option depending on the destination.

Trevor Lawrence – I like investing in highly touted rookies coming out of their bye-weeks. The two weeks of practice and preparation could be just what the doctor ordered for Sunshine, who had already been showing signs of life in recent weeks.

Ricky Seals-Jones – RSJ continues to produce consistently in Logan Thomas’ absence. I wouldn’t double down on him once Thomas is back in a couple of weeks, but until then Seals-Jones should be owned in all leagues.

Mo Alie-Cox – I love the Cox. Mo Alie-Cox, I mean. Truth is, his limited target share keeps his upside down but Big Mo is a solid bye week option. And if the target numbers start to spike then maybe he becomes something more? Remember, Carson Wentz is no stranger to heavy tight end usage (see: Ertz, Zach).

SELL

D’Ernest Johnson – This is more commentary than anything because I’m not sure how many people out there will actually buy the Browns backup, but hey, it’s worth a shot. Troy Aikman and Joe Buck made Johnson sound like Walter Payton on Thursday night in primetime. But the truth is that my Uncle Leroy could’ve run through most of those holes and the Broncos defense seemed to give up on once Von Miller got hurt. If someone in your league is thinking that Johnson could produce Kareem Hunt-type numbers while Hunt is out then ship him off while you can.

Mike Davis – I’m ready to drop this bum. Cordarrelle Patterson has asserted his dominance on the Falcons backfield over and over. There are almost certainly better options than Davis sitting around on your waiver wire.
