The list isn’t nearly as long as it will be in other weeks, but you will lose the services of Adrian Peterson, Tony Romo, Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Visanthe Shiancoe, and Jamaal Charles this weekend to the dreaded BYE, along with some other guys I don’t like that much.

Hopefully you have some bench players to fill in, but with injuries and the bye, you may need to scrape the bottom of the barrel. Here are some bye week barrel bottoms that you can find wavering on the waiver wire.

for Tony Romo:

Bruce Gradkowski vs. Houston — Houston gives up 368 yards passing per game.  I hear that isn’t good.

Matt Hasselbeck @ St. Louis — The Rams are notoriously bad at defending, well, anything.

Chad Henne vs. New England — The Pats have given up 20+ fantasy point games to Palmer, Sanchez and Fitzpatrick.

Sam Bradford vs. Seattle — The Seachickens are giving up 315 yards passing per game.  Also, not good.

for Adrian Peterson:

John Kuhn vs. Detroit — Detroit has given up a gargantuan amount of fantasy points to running backs, including 148.7 yards per game.

Ryan Torain @ Philadelphia — Jahvid Best scored about a thousand points on Philly and Torain looks like he is already splitting time with Portis.

Kenneth Darby vs. Seattle (if Steven Jackson is out) — Darby’s no SJax, but if he’s the starter, he’s the starter.

Bernard Scott @ Cleveland — Just a speculative play thinking Cincinnati will run more since Palmer is horrible.

for Miles Austin:

James Jones vs. Detroit — Jones has been getting a lot of work and Detroit isn’t that good.

Blair White @ Jacksonville (if Garcon is out) — Manning got him a TD last week and Jacksonville has a horrible pass defense.

Stephen Williams @ San Diego — Steve Breaston is out 2-3 weeks and Williams will take over the #2 slot.

Golden Tate @ St. Louis — His big play ability makes him worth a flier against the Rams.

Darrius Heyward-Bey @ Houston — I like Murphy more, but he’s probably gone and DHB is getting a lot of targets.

For Visanthe Shiancoe:

John Carlson@ St. Louis — Carlson has been getting a lot of looks and got a TD last week.

Jeremy Shockey vs. Carolina — Football Outsiders has the Panthers ranked 31st against tight ends.  I dislike Shockey immensely, but he did have a nice game last week.
