Due to “technical difficulties,” the DraftKings Razzball Studio was unable to support having me on the show this week.  We all know that Nick was screening my calls.  He just couldn’t take the reaming he was going to get about David Wilson.  I was frothing at the mouth for this podcast like the end of Old Yeller.  If only there was someone in the fantasy community that has been anti-Wilson since he was drafted!  The David Wilson hot tub gonna be lonely tonight!  All I have to say is none of my teams got that nice little negative 2.10 and Nick is still gonna get it next week.  I mean, the phone system being down then Nick gets to make a one-sentence joke at me to get out of it?  Really?!  REALLY?!  Luckily our resident West Coasters – Editor-In-Chief Sky and Awesome-In-Chief Murph – were able to record their segments on Waiver Wire moves and injuries.  Since I wasn’t able to get connected, as promised an RCL shout out to the top-scoring team through Sunday to Milton’s Street Team in Guru’s Razzbro League putting up 200.78 points led by Colin Kaepernick and Anquan Boldin.  Special shout out to the #2 scoring team Will and the Pirates – my mole in the Nick the Podcast Host League!  I wanted a good friend in that league to be sure Nick’s record stays lower than the Jaguars.  They put up 199.38 led by Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson; should be a tough team.  Go Pirates!  I’ll have a full article recapping everything RCL coming out tomorrow with the official high-scoring week 1 winner and a look into each league’s early front-runners.

The Razzball Football Podcast is back!  With a full tamale of fantasy goodness pairing Nick with Razzball vet JayWrong, the pair rip through Sky’s 2013 Rankings, starting at the top and Sky’s on-the-limb rank of Doug Martin at numero uno.  Poor Sky and his ranks getting picked on at 5:00 AM his time!  Long live the East Coast bias!  Nick and JayWrong shoot through the rest of the RBs going in the first round all the way into deep sleepers, where I even think I heard Danny Woodhead’s name at one point…?  You call that a deep podcast?  That’s a deep podcast!  It probably helps that JayWrong is a big Chargers fan, if you couldn’t figure that out based on the title… Don’t forget to start up your RCL League where once we get into the regular season I’ll be giving the weekly top scoring team a shout out, or hop into the last few spots in JayWrong’s 2nd RCL league that still has a few spots open.

Razzball Nation!  The Razzball Football Podcast is back, and we’re back to our weekly schedule with the first of four preview episodes on Wednesdays as we charge into the 2013 NFL season, then weekly podcasts will go up Monday afternoons once the season is underway.  First off, before you listen start up a new RCL League to feed your fantasy appetite, and as an extra bonus, I’ll be giving a weekly shout out to the top scoring team across the RCLs each week on the pod – and general mockery to the team you toppled.  Plus, there’s that huge overall winning prize getting you custom Razzball Gear, plus the bragging rights and infamy in Razzball Nation lore so start a new league today!

This week, Nick and I relive the old days with a whole 41:00 of just us, and the struggle Nick had hiring a hot tub pool man and recalibrating the bubblers to get his David Wilson hot tub ready for the 2013 season.  Well, we actually previewed QBs and TEs and went off Sky’s 2013 Rankings and debated how much we agreed or disagreed.  As I mentioned in the open, I got the privilege of just criticizing Sky’s rankings without doing my own, so Sky, if you’re out there, I still love you!  We found out Nick is just all kinds of gaga for the Giants, loves Eli Manning and hopes there’s enough room in the David Wilson hot tub for the whole gang.  I am going all in on Cam Newton and think he should be drafted as the #2 QB this year.  Next week we’ll have JayWrong on for the whole episode going over his RB rankings and thoughts, and his ideas for our upcoming foodtruck idea of Kimchi Big Biscuits.

Nick has been trying to chase me down and finally caught me. You’ve been warned: you’re gonna hear my voice on the podcast for the first time here. It will be just as shocking as it was for this little kid but more than likely will end in tears of annoy than tears of joy. For the NFL Draft, we went with a three-headed brigade as Murph will swing the RBs, JB will take on the wide outs and Jaywrong will talk quarterbacks and tight ends and most likely a little Jennifer Lawrence. It’s not stalking if it’s on the internet, right? In any case, here’s to hoping scheduling-wise we can get our IDP guy Kevin Kumpf on the next ‘cast (I can call it a ‘cast cuz I’m now part of the industry) so we can figure out how the draft and some off-season moves will play out for the defensive side of the oblong ball. Unfortch, he’s on vacation. I think he’s out with the Gronk on some tropical island with no legal age restrictions. Totally guessing there. But that’s for next time. For this time, here’s your off season version of the Razzball Podcast for the 2013 fantasy football season…
