12 team standard, sounds like i lost wentz this week. j.allen out there to nab, but i gotta likely drop 2 if i want to secure him since wentz probably won’t be ruled out till late (sunday night game, if i’m lucky he gets ruled out earlier, but i can’t assume that). dynasty here
    QB wentz
RB (1) AAron jones, michel, howard, drake, mack (mack’s probably the drop for breida if healthy but even breida doesn’t play till mid day sunday)
WR (2) thielen, nuke, MT, hilton, jeffery
    TE (1) samuels (RB), cook
    1 WR/TE flex
1 RB/WR flex (and due to it being standard this is mostly always a RB, EXCEPT for what hilton has been doing lately)
    IR (5) breida

so to get j.allen i’d have to drop 2 people, OR just wait and hope wentz gets ruled out before noon games on sunday (when allen plays) and also hope nobody picks him up before then, which is likely or they already would’ve for the most part. one possible thing is to drop samuels late in week (so nobody else can use him this week) and somebody else. but a starting RB in TE slot seems too good to pass up (even though cook did better than samuels last week due to ridley vulturing)

@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: If this is redraft, I’d probably just look at dropping Wentz for Allen. Sounds like Wentz is unlikely to play this week and could be sitting the ROS. Another option would be to drop your kicker or defense and pick up Allen and then grab your def/k on Sunday. I think the additional drop for me if you don’t have Def/K would be Alshon. You have 4 WRs better and Alshon won’t crack your lineup likely.

@B_Don: oh yeah if redraft i’d just dump him, and since PHI is even admitting this stuff he’s probably going to be ruled out by like late friday (otherwise why even admit this stuff this early in week anyway?), if i’m that lucky i’m set as we have the 5 IR slots. MIN D so too good to drop for dynasty (zuerlein too at K, oh and this league scores both fairly heavy)

so keep all 6 RB over jeffery (even if i can wait for wentz to get “out” i’ll have to drop somebody for breida unless he himself gets ruled out, but this doesn’t sound all that likely as of now)

@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: then we get this kind of stuff: (per rotoworld):
“ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Carson Wentz has a fractured vertebra in his back.

Wentz was absent from practice for the second straight day. The fracture will reportedly heal on its own with rest, so he will avoid surgery. Schefter reports the Eagles are doing additional tests to determine if he can play through the issue”

well, first off, it’s new to me that somebody with a fratured vertebra can do much of anything, much less play in a football game in 3.5 days, and more interestingly, just how long have they already been pushing him through this (or is this like an MLB pitcher lying to his team for weeks/months about it).

it might heal on it’s own NOW, but keep playing on it and see what happens to him long term. haha. for no reason at all, as they have i’m pretty sure no playoff chances here.

@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: Sounds like a terrible situation for a team that probably understands that it’s not going anywhere regardless of the outcome this week. Another reason I’m not overly excited about hanging on to Alshon who has taken a back seat to Tate and Ertz (well Ertz has been there all season). And yes, I have a problem, I hoard RBs, but it’s also a lot harder to find a RB on the wire at this point than a streaming WR.

@B_Don: true this is. it’s why i have 7 of them but no QB #2 (till soon anyway). if connor somehow plays samuels will be an easy drop as well. i’d bet against him doing that though if this actually was a “high ankle” like has been reported for a while now.

Can you rank Damien Williams, Boyd, or Jarvis Landry? Need 2 in a standard league for the semis

-Ware is out, but hearing West is going to get touches (8-12 per one source)
-Boyd has a nice matchup, but Jeff Driskel
-Landry has gone off the last 2 weeks, but with a slightly concerning target share

    Thoughts?

@Abe Froman: d-will and landry. boyd doesn’t do nearly as well without green (and driskel, but honestly that guy might actually be better than ginger bastard long term). if PPR it’d probably be closer between boyd and d-will

@Eli Man Penguin Boy: the FP guys are saying boyd over d-will though, but did all of them cook ware being completely out into that (at least one of them still had ware 48th overall in standard flex so not all of them did this)

@Abe Froman: Damien and Landry. I can’t advise starting anyone on the Bengals other than Mixon at this point.
