Not much is going on, except Zeke getting suspended and not suspended about 18 times a week at this point, but who doesn’t love getting stuck in a revolving door? Regardless, not much time on my end this week (been terribly busy!), so we’ll keep this lede short and sweet, just like your mother. And I guess Richard Simmons.

Here’s your updated Razzball Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 9 (STD, Half-PPR, PPR, IDP) including our updated Staff Consensus, Player Status Updates, and an opportunity to ask those all so important roster questions to myself, MB, and Zach in the commentary section!

    (link)

Hey Jay! Just dropped RKelly for Lockett. Now deciding if I want to start Lockett or Ajayi in the flex.

Also, 12team half ppr. 2 trade scenarios from the same guy. 1…my cousins and thielen for his rivers and cooks. Or 2 …my DParker, MGordon and Tyrod for his MIke Evans, Tevin and Rivers. Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Elaw77: Hey Elaw, I’d go Ajayi, but it’s close. And yeah, I like the River and Cooks deal. The first one.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Elaw77: I’d go with Lockett, I doubt Ajayi plays much

  2. Beef Jerky says:
    (link)

    12 team 1 ppr.
Trade my Fournette for their Hopkins and Karama

    Rest of team:
    Jordy
    Kelvin
    Landry
    Pryor
    D. Martin
    Collins
    Darkwa
    Powell
    Rex

    Thanks

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Beef Jerky: I wouldn’t, Hopkins value has plummeted with Watson’s injury. Fournette is fantastic I’d hold onto him

  3. Chud says:
    (link)

    Jay,

Thanks for the rankings! Good stuff.

Was offered a deal in my 10 team PPR league:

    I get CThompson & Richardson.

    I give Baldwin & Mack.

My current RBs include Shady, McKinnon, Mack, Henry, Woodhead. WRs include AJ Green, Hill, Diggs, Baldwin.

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Chud: Of course! Yeah, I like that deal for you.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

      @Chud: agree with Jay

  4. MattyIce says:
    (link)

I’m trying to pick two of Demaryius, D. Parker, and Funchess in a PPR league. Should I have any concerns about workload/snaps/targets for Parker coming off the injury?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@MattyIce: Yes, but I still like him and DT out of that group. They are pretty close though.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@MattyIce: Funchess should have a big game so you should play him. I like Demaryous Thomas too

  5. PaulZone says:
    (link)

Who would you go with fo a FLEX out of:
(PPR, 3 pt bonus for 100 rush/rec yards)

    Shepard
    Darkwa
    Ginn
    Parker

    Thanks!

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@PaulZone: Feeling Shep, Parker, and Darkwa there.

      • PaulZone says:
        (link)

@Jay: i have Shep in there so it looks like we agree. Thx

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@PaulZone: Ginn Darkwa and Shepard for me. I think Ginn is a top 29 play this week. I’m fairly certain Tampa’s defense can’t stop a nose bleed let alone this offense and the deep ball

      • MB

        Unbreakable_MB says:
        (link)

@Unbreakable_MB: top 20* apologies for my fat fingers

  6. Citizen5 says:
    (link)

    Current lineup has:
    Mack and Hyde at RB
    Dez and Fuller ar WR
    Thompson at Flex
    …you like?
    On the bench…
    Ajayi and Darkwa at RB
    Stills, DeSean, Alshon at WR
Would you sub anyone out? Thanks.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Citizen5: I think I’d put in Darkwa for Mack, but everything else look sgood.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Citizen5: agree with Jay. Although, I don’t mind playing Mack. He should see the ball more and more going forward

  7. FIZZ says:
    (link)

Should I start Agholar or Doctson?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @FIZZ: Tough one. Leaning Agholar.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

      @FIZZ: agree with Jay

  8. Pink Doves says:
    (link)

    Jay,

A few questions this week. It’s a long shot week with a bunch of byes etc, but sitting at 8-1.

    .5 ppr

RB2: Lacy vs Wash (I actually want to play him on hunch). Riddick vs GB, Montgomery vs Det, Ellington vs SF

WR3: Woods vs NYG, Corey Davis vs Balt, love him but maybe a week away, Pryor vs Seattle (no Reed or Crowder or Paul has to help him and no Earl Thomas either). I want to play TP but man that’s hard

    Carolina or a Cincy D

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Pink Doves: close enough to where you can be bold there. Probably doing Davis, but I’m okay throwing Pryor out there.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Pink Doves: Riddick and Corey Davis have the biggest upside. Terrelle Pryor is a terrible football player

  9. Imp says:
    (link)

In PPR looking for a little upside to make up for Shady, who do you sit in this close group for having the lower ceiling.

    Ty/Alshon/Ginn/Sterling

I’m starting Wentz if that affects the view on Alshon

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Imp: I think Ginn is the odd man out.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Imp: Ty as in Ty Montgomery? Bench him. Play Ginn, I think he’s going to have a big day

      • Imp says:
        (link)

@Unbreakable_MB: TY Hilton. Sorry for the confsuion. Thanks for the help.

  10. Steve Stevenson says:
    (link)

0.5 ppr superflex, Alex Collins (18+ pts last wk, but that was his 1st time breaking 10) or Beathard (12-15 pts each of last 3 wks)?

  11. Blake says:
    (link)

12 team standard league (no ppr)

Can start 2 wr and 2RB plus a flex

    I have for WR:

    E Sanders
    W Fuller
    Tyler Lockett
    J kerase
    J crowder

    For RB’s:

    L fournette
    E Lacy
    K drake

I was thinking of the following

    L fournette
    E lacy

    W fuller
    E sanders

    and K drake for flex

    thoughts?

    • Blake says:
      (link)

      @Blake:

Nevermind – fournette out I guess I am doing yeldon for fournette? locket for flex over lacy? put drake in RB?

      • Jay

        Jay says:
        (link)

@Blake: yeah, these are all what I’d do.

      • MB

        Unbreakable_MB says:
        (link)

@Blake: i doubt Yeldon touches the ball much. When he had his big day they were up pretty big.

  12. Jake says:
    (link)

With Fournett out would you start Yeldon over T. Coleman ?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Jake: yeah, I would.

      • Yager says:
        (link)

        @Jay: Ivory over Coleman?

        • MB

          Unbreakable_MB says:
          (link)

@Yager: ivory over Coleman is fine

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Jake: no Yeldon is not going to repeat his last performance

  13. Allan says:
    (link)

Crap Ertz out. Options in a full point ppr are Dickson, Howard, Watson, Kittle, Griffin, Ebron, Derby…help?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Allan: hmm, feeling Howard, but this could change. Mulling now.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

      @Allan: derby for me

  14. Ppr league …who do I start ? I one rb slot and 2 flex spots open

Rb – ivory, j. Allen, cj Anderson, ivory
    Flex – lee (pick 2)

    Thanks

  15. Ron Weasley says:
    (link)

Would you start Kamara or Freeman in a 1/2 point ppr and green or Landry ?

    All your rankings are close

    Thanks !

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Ron Weasley: yeah, so tough. Freeman and Green.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Ron Weasley: Kamara and Green start all saints

  16. Cubjet says:
    (link)

    Delanie Walker or Jonnu Smith?
Walker is playing but who knows how much.

Also, John Brown, Richard Matthews or Curtis Samuel?

    Thanks in advance

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Cubjet: Matthews and Smith

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Cubjet: smith and Samuel. Ravens passing D is excellent. Samuel benefits greatly from KB trade

  17. Guidedbyvoices says:
    (link)

Ted Ginn or Ivory for ppr flex?

  18. Jake says:
    (link)

Aj Green or Ivory in my flex ? Thanks man

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

      @Jake: ivory

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      @Jake: Green.

  19. What's a Drexl? says:
    (link)

drop fuller for woods or doctson PPR?

    2. deeper league, drop fuller for any of: z.jones/louis/lewis/beasley/j.brown (the fast one john)

also, curious, why is everybody so high on the HOU kicker, were these all before the watson injury? i know IND’s D sucks but IND’s D will probably perform like a top 14 one (not in a fantasy sense maybe) vs savage. would think the nuge (DAL) kicker would be higher.

    • What's a Drexl? says:
      (link)

@What’s a Drexl?: i see your ROS rankings have doctson/woods near tied and fuller higher, but that appears to be before the watsonnobl

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@What’s a Drexl?: I honestly would snag up Doctson if it’s for stashing. If you need a consistent week to week play, Woods

  20. Quick Sycamore says:
    (link)

Zach Ertz is out!! Should I just pick up Burton to replace him, or go with Davis?

  21. Guntoyourhead says:
    (link)

Gun to your head, pick 2:

    Watkins/agholor/ marqise lee

    Thanks

  22. Ron Weasley says:
    (link)

    Best stash in ppr ?
    Ty mont, Crowell , amendola?

    Thanks

  23. Tiny timm says:
    (link)

    Happy Sunday funday jay!!

.5 PPR league im going to need all of the good vibes on my side I’m facing the top team this week.

How do you like my starting lineup

    QB: Dak vs KC

    RB1: hunt at Dallas
    RB2: AP @ SF

    WR1: Baldwin vs skins
    WR2: ty hill @ Dallas
    WR3: Parker vs raiders

    TE Doyle @ Houston

Flex: Aaron jones home vs lions MNF

D is Philly home to Broncos

    Kicker is Harrison butker

Bench is Mcaffery , fuller, Corey Davis,

Are you leaving it as is or making any moves?

On the wire who I’d consider at WR Stills, John brown or Ryan grant

    At RB yeldon, Booker.

    Thanks man!!

Trying to acquire Antonio brown would you deal my Gordon for ab straight up? I also have McKinnon on my RB depth , also have Keenan & hogan on my WR depth.

    Thanks

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

@Tiny timm: leaving it, good luck!

  24. What's a Drexl? says:
    (link)

was fournette a fake active here? good for me in one spot where i had to play ivory or kelley.

    • What's a Drexl? says:
      (link)

@What’s a Drexl?: nevermind, i’m seeing both above comments and the 2nd to most recent inactive report on JAX shows he got suspended for skipping something. but it wasn’t listed in the most recent rotoworld report that supposedly shows all the inactives listed thusly: Jacksonville’s inactives are WR Jaelen Strong, CB Tyler Patmon, RG A.J. Cann, OL Josh Walker, OL William Poehls, and DT Sheldon Day. this one came out 20 minutes later than the fournette only one.

  25. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
    (link)

i just noticed, and i don’t know if it’s been remarked on here, but ayayi’s contract is for more than just this year and cheap, any clue why MIA would be this stupid?

  26. Roger says:
    (link)

Not feeling good about this my opponent has TY Hilton , I’m bracing for the loss for the loss grr

    • The Harrow says:
      (link)

@Roger: good news is you can only lose once per league per week (unless in one of those h2h where every team plays every other team every week kinda deals)

  27. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
    (link)

can’t let winston start anymore, i had a top 2 team in points and record (tied for 1st in the latter actually) till the last 2 weeks. best option for week 10 (YIKES i could’ve added goff for this week like 1.5 days ago too, my opp did over mariota and will win from it likely):
    mccown @ TB
    brissett vs PIT
    bortles vs LAC
    fitz vs NYJ
    brock lobster vs NE

man FP and everybody were high on that HOU kicker, i f’d up on that one.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo: McCown easily. He’s playing great and Tampa is horrible

      • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
        (link)

@Unbreakable_MB: it gets worse too, as i forgot that the ONE week winston WAS good since he got hurt i benched SINCE i thought a guy with a shoulder injury would be a bad player to start. so i’ve basically bobbed and weaved my way away from a bunch of points for 3 weeks (as have winston’s rankings, ranked very low the week he did good, ranked very high the 2 weeks he was terrible)

  28. The Harrow says:
    (link)

now quick and they’re even sprinkling in sprinkle just to not get pryor any targets. smart team that WAS

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

      @The Harrow: Pryor stinks lol

      • The Harrow says:
        (link)

@Unbreakable_MB: i’m guessing so, but that same guy on CLE last year was pretty decent, with pretty gross QB’ing. i’m aware (in baseball at least this is quite statistically true) that the adages of:
        1. people play better in contract run out years (barely true at all actually, by actual stats)
        2. people play worse in 1st year AFTER getting big contract up (actually true, but not to huge numbers, but still over 60% true)

every year shandler’s fantasy book (baseball forecaster) has an article about this. it also hints that what really is going on is more likely to be normal regression. so rather than the narrative that a player after being paid suddenly becomes a bum, what’s really going on is that a player happens to have a much better season than he’s ever had (obviously luck factors all come together at same time). due to this one season he gets paid way more than he’ll likely ever be worth (unless he was paid this large amount ONLY in the season he just had); in seasons afterward he goes back to what his normal projections curve says he’d be in the first place, and everybody whines about how much of a “bum” he is.

-2nd narrative, player wants to get big contract and thusly “tries harder” and does better to try to get paid.the assumption of trying harder actually somehow causing better production is assumed by majority of these adherents of course. all sorts of examples of how “trying harder” would actually be worse for production (more likely injuries, what’s referred to as “pressing” etc) are simply ignored here by this thought train.

to my knowledge this data hasn’t been put to NFL players so maybe football players can in fact “try harder” and successfully leverage this “effort causes production” into big contracts (ah la what many would say right now about pryor) then later become a “bum” after getting paid big (ah la what even more people probably right now say about pryor). maybe there’s actual correlation to these narratives and facts in a further way than in baseball.

        • The Harrow says:
          (link)

@The Harrow: and from previous exposure to quick i’ll go out on a limb and say there’s just no way pryor is worse than b.quick, unless pryor is injured (which certainly would explain a LOT)

  29. OSUblows says:
    (link)

If you’re looking for the most upside, would you roll:

    Beast mode
    Kenyan drake
    Or Damien Williams

    Out tonight on SNF?

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

      @OSUblows: Kenyan Drake for upside

  30. Fundle Bundle Life says:
    (link)

ty hilton is the entire argument for football being either roto or at least h2h every team plays every other team type leagues (which i’ve started at least one of)

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Fundle Bundle Life: he’s so talented. He needs to be targeted like a WR every week. It’s frustrating when he has down weeks

        • Fundle Bundle Life says:
          (link)

@Unbreakable_MB: love that “targeted like a WR” line. yeppers.

          • MB

            Unbreakable_MB says:
            (link)

@Fundle Bundle Life: meant to say targeted like a WR1 lol

  31. Drekkan says:
    (link)

Up 10 against my opponent with only Kenyan Drake to play for me (no one left for him). I can only lose if Drake drops a massive multi-fumble bomb. Is it worth it to ride it out just to pad the tiebreak (I’m currently sitting in 4th in the league, so tiebreaks could come in handy)? Or do I just take the surefire W (barring massive stat correction)?

    • Fundle Bundle Life says:
      (link)

@Drekkan: drake gets less than -10 about .002% of the time. shoot for the points. i’m assuming -2 for fumbles here.

    • MB

      Unbreakable_MB says:
      (link)

@Drekkan: I’d roll him out there and get yourself some points. He’ll be benched after the 2nd fumble if that happens

  32. Fundle Bundle Life says:
    (link)

oh crap, hunt is starting to get the ole j.charles treatment from walrus (way too few carries no matter the gamescript). charles in his last 2 healthy seasons routinely would end with like 14 or less touches, even in games that were close.

  33. Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves says:
    (link)

woah baby i got lucky to have noticed in time about the ertz thing. i had thought having to start beasley so bad that i had waivered (with shit waiver) the higher ranked for this week r.shepard CAR for WR 3# this week. then upon noticing ertz out i dropped r.shepard (couldn’t drop beasley as he’s in pending trade along with morris to get me parker for next week, but agreed to way before this week’s sunday games, screwed over by the claimed to be 2 day wait time which is really longer than 2 calendar flip days) for burton and played beasley. clearly a 20 team issue at play here.

  34. Let Us Now Praise Famous Death Dwarves says:
    (link)

yep that’s MIA, drake looked better but thusly out touched 5-1 already. def the same team that throws away pro bowlers with 1 extra year left on less than 1 mil per year contracts and jerked l.miller around for years before that.

  35. Big League choo says:

    My WRs
    Hopkins
    Watkins
    Adams
    Cooks
    Westbrook
    Juju
