There’s no shortage of news to digest for all you week 17 championship seekers out there. If you enjoy chaos and a championship matchup completely detached from the previous 16 weeks then you’re going to love this week! It kind of reminds me of way back in the year 2020 when there was a surprise around every corner. On top of the normal week 17 chaos of elite fantasy players being rested (See: Mahomes, Kelce, Hill and maybe even the Bills) and players who might have played had their games held any meaning (See: Dalvin Cook, Miles Sanders and Keenan Allen), we also have the added COVID madness with Alvin Kamara, Latavius Murray and Cooper Kupp all missing. While I don’t approve of week 17 championships, I’m still here for you friends. Below you’ll find the Sunday morning injury report, some sneaky week 17 starting options and my updated week 17 rankings. Go forth and start the year 2021 right by bringing home all of the fantasy glory!

Injury Report – Will try to update these periodically Sunday as more info comes out

Mike Davis (ankle) – Doubtful, not expected to play per coach.

Antonio Gibson (toe) – Questionable, likely to play.

Le’Veon Bell (knee) – Questionable, practiced Friday but might be rested even if he’s good to go.

Terry McLaurin (ankle) – Questionable, didn’t practice all week and might be limited even if he plays.

DeVante Parker (hamstring) – Questionable, sounds like he’ll probably play.

Sneaky Starts (Yahoo ownership %)

QB

Mitchell Trubisky (17%) – Hopefully you have better option but Da Mitch has been surprisingly good since his return and Da Bears have a must-win game this week against the Packers.

RB

Ty Montgomery (1%) – Alvin Kamara is out with COVID and Latavius Murray was a close contact making Ty Mont the only game in town.

Rodney Smith (0%) – Christian McCaffrey is out and Mike Davis is doubtful.

Dare Ogunbowale (9%) – James Robinson is out again.

Alexander Mattison (23%) – Dalvin Cook won’t play due to a family issue.

Boston Scott (21%) – Miles Sanders is out.

Darrel Williams (4%) & Darwin Thompson (0%) – CEH is out and Le’Veon might be out or rested. Either way, I’m not sure if Darrell Williams ends up being limited as well so probably best to just avoid the Chiefs backfield altogether.

WR

Russell Gage (38%) – Julio is out again.

Gabriel Davis (9%) – Cole Beasley is out.

Mike Williams (63%) & Tyron Johnson (14%) – Keenan Allen is out.

TE

Zach Ertz (55%) – Dallas Goedert is out.

Here’s my updated week 17 rankings which I’ll continue to update all the way until 1PM ET Sunday:
