Congratulations! You’ve made it through week 14! Maybe you had a bye week and had a chance to rest your players (calm down, it’s a joke). Each week is the most important week of the fantasy season so the rankings and line up questions are more important than ever. I’m here to help you out so let’s get right to it.

  1. I got $100 for groceries, $1400 for liquor, and $6000 for you to bail a couple of shit puppets out of jail says:
    (link)

the “rest players during your playoff bye week” joke is the same as somebody when they say they had a “good defense” in a season due to an incredibly easy scheduling luck.

12 team redraft standardish (.2 PPR, so close to). keep 6. going into this year my keepers were fairly easy (drake, jeffery, ertz, howard, mccoy, julio), now even with JJSS and probably michel joining the list still a lot of guys weaker than their expected value a few months ago (howard, mccoy (we knew this one going into year probably, jeffery maybe (maybe not when tate goes away) drake not being used properly due to MIA’s idiot disease). max 6 RB and WR here is why the multiple QB’s.
    QB (1) wentz, keenum, l-jax
RB (2) michel, adams, mccoy, howard, j.jackson, drake
WR (2) julio, JJSS, funchess, t.smith, MVS, jeffery
    TE (1) ertz, herndon
    3 R/W/T utils
t.smith barely used (again, and this time for much longer), MVS’s value appears low this year, funchess’ back thing is keeping him from targets now as well. drop all/any of those 3 for what order of: r.anderson (i owned earlier, but he finally seems healthy), crowder (same, but even more hurt for longer), z.jones, doctson, ellington, TT (TEN), roberts, ateman, conley, mckenzie (i hear he might be used as a RB if ivory is out along with mccoy), d-ham (DEN)

standard dynasty 12 teamer. now with samuel (nobody else was WW’d this week, odd. this is weekly waivers but done in a completely asinine way where it doesn’t even roll. so if the 12th team that week were to attempt waivering 4 players he’d def get all 4. it’s seriously stupid. also this league has a front loaded draft, so some owners do very odd shit like keep 2-3 total players and try to for barkley (this year that exact thing happened with like 3 of them). it makes it VERY hard to decide who not to keep. effectively the best teams get maybe 1 player total that’s worth keeping in the draft, i got d.lewis and 2 others clearly not worth kept all year. normal dynasty leagues it’s much easier to gauge who to keep, if you have guys who are better than a standard FA you tend to keep them unless you know you can improve with a rookie or 2-3 since you can gauge what overall draft slot you will have)
    QB RW3
RB (2) zeke, melgor (i’m guessing not back this week), wilson (started this week), drake, d.lewis
WR (3) MT, AB, hilton, DT (old), samuel
    TE (1) ertz, cook
    no util/flex
IR (1) kirk (so future WR value held)
    D HOU
    K gostko

drop DT now for which of mayfield/j.allen, with the way SEA is now using RW3 it appears at least some weeks he might be a bench for an up and coming QB.

@goodfold2: yeah I’d drop him for Mayfield

  3. Jake says:

If Melvin Gordon plays where do you put him in your rankings ?

    • The Harrow says:
      (link)

@Jake: i’d guess slightly lower than he usually is, due to lower snaps. maybe 5-7 RB slots lower than usual? wouldn’t think more than 10 RB slots.

Hey MB thanks man for last week!!

In a pickle here (PPR) I have to choose 2 Justin Jackson, Jeff Wilson, OBJ but the status of 2 of them up in the air, what to do if Jackson is the #1 Thursday?

Could mean benching Tarik Cohen or Aaron Jones for OBJ

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

@Mike: playing Jackson if Gordon is inactive otherwise rolling with Wilson and OBJ

      • The Harrow says:
        (link)

@MB: i’m hoping HARD for melgor to not play, need that jackson to start this week, would be my best shot at getting into finals in my biggest money league (even if i lose in finals there’s money in that). this is even with having melgor elsewhere, but in that spot i’m likely winning anyway with wilson starting.

        just further reading updates:
MF’er, wentz is out! good god now i need to play j.allen in same biggest money league. not good. shit.

baldwin or crowder at WR #2 (jeffery was in that spot till now)?

        • The Harrow says:
          (link)

@The Harrow: could do shepard again IF OBJ is out again of course, but doubt that’s likely.

          • The Harrow says:
            (link)

@The Harrow: could add l.jax too. could’ve added dak attack till about 7 hours ago too. good night i hate post WW rule outs (in the playoffs esp)

            • The Harrow says:
              (link)

@The Harrow: i see you have l.jax higher than j.allen (or carr, can’t believe i typed his name for this). wish i was at internet when wentz was ruled out, i could’ve gotten dat attack.

          • The Harrow says:
            (link)

@MB: only good news is my opp (while clearly having a better team than me IF it’s all healthy) is missing some pieces this week as well likely (connor, some others). he had hunt/ware but that’s out the window this week for sure. i move from a decent dog to a coin flip probably IF connor stays out AND melgor is out (jackson i have). first time in a while paying up in draft for the “top 5ish TE” d.walker has this team in trouble. also wentz going out will take jeffery down to rubbish (in addition to trading for a g.tate rental, it was their D that needed new bodies not more WR at agholor/jeffery’s expense) just with horrible timing for me. this wentz back thing probably explains no small part of him being mostly shitty last few weeks as well.

it’s weird, in past seasons i’ve been like the best team in this league by over 100 points and didn’t have the best record, then went out week 1 playoffs, thus far this year it’s nearly the exact opposite (till about week 8-9 i had almost the best record with the 5th-6th best team, ended season with 5th best team). one piece of good news we’re starting a new 3 year keep 1 player max that long (could keep differing players, just not one guy for longer than 3 years straight) cycle and i got barkley at 8th this year

            • The Harrow says:
              (link)

@The Harrow: and having/paying for fitz (later dropping, probably at his lowest point) didn’t help either. kirk going out also.

  5. cojo says:

I’ve got a decision to make at QB, Cam Newton vs Andrew Luck. Quirks in our scoring system are +3 pts for 300 yrds passing and -3 for each sack. Thoughts?

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

      @cojo: rolling with Luck

  6. JC says:
    (link)

    1. Humphreys (at Balt), D. Moore or Samuels (v NO )
    2. Pick two…Ingram (at Car.), Martin (at Cin), J Jackson (assumes Gordon out- at KC)

    Thanks.

    • MB

      MB says:

@JC: Martin and Ingram. Probably DJ Moore

  7. cojo says:

Have a QB dilemma. Which should I start, Luck or Newton? Standard Yahoo league with -3 for sacks and +3 for 300+ yds passing. Thanks!

    • For An Armenianless Vacation Come To Akron says:
      (link)

@cojo: luck here i’d think, luck about 3 spots higher at FP’s top 30 QB guys and that’s without the luck-more-likely-to-get bonus.

    MB!!!

    Playoff time baby!

I know what your rankings say but:

Deshaun Watson @NYJ or Lamar Jackson vsTB this week?

Who do u think is gonna go off in their matchup?

    • MB

I’m all about Watson this week. Flacco being active is scary

  9. Johnny Be Good says:

MB! Semi’s baby – Tough decison here tho…

in PPR, which the current matchups…you playing Ebron or Kittle ?

hate to bench Kittle, but Seahawks stingy against TEs…what to do

    • MB

      MB says:

I’d go with Ebron and wouldn’t think twice about it

  10. Andrew says:

  11. And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers! says:
    (link)

12 team standard, sounds like i lost wentz this week. j.allen out there to nab, but i gotta likely drop 2 if i want to secure him since wentz probably won’t be ruled out till late (sunday night game, if i’m lucky he gets ruled out earlier, but i can’t assume that). dynasty here
    QB wentz
RB (1) AAron jones, michel, howard, drake, mack (mack’s probably the drop for breida if healthy but even breida doesn’t play till mid day sunday)
WR (2) thielen, nuke, MT, hilton, jeffery
    TE (1) samuels (RB)
    1 WR/TE flex
1 RB/WR flex (and due to it being standard this is mostly always a RB, EXCEPT for what hilton has been doing lately)
    IR (5) breida

so to get j.allen i’d have to drop 2 people, OR just wait and hope wentz gets ruled out before noon games on sunday (when allen plays) and also hope nobody picks him up before then, which is likely or they already would’ve for the most part.

    • And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers! says:
      (link)

@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: also have cook at TE my starter till connor is back and was before.

      • And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers! says:
        (link)

@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: that clearly was meant cook was starter before and will be after connor is back. but a starting RB at TE slot looks too good to pass up (even though cook did better last week)

  12. Fizz says:
    (link)

Josh Gordon, spencer ware, or J. Jackson at flex?

    • For An Armenianless Vacation Come To Akron says:
      (link)

@Fizz: ware’s out for SURE now, jackson is only in this convo at all IF melgor is out. go add d.williams now, (how does grey’d one do it)… i’ll wait….

  13. Mike says:
    (link)

Alright guys, you’ve been helping me out all year, let’s see if you can get this tough playoff flex play decision for me (full point PPR):

    Larry Fitz
    Derrick Henry
    Corey Davis
    Matt Breida (if he plays)

    • AllThePrettyStantons says:
      (link)

      @Mike:

i’ve been a loud henry hater this year, but hard to ignore the combination of last week’s production + this week’s match-up. especially compared to your other options.

    • For An Armenianless Vacation Come To Akron says:
      (link)

@Mike: one issue here is breida plays later than all the others. possibly due to the doubt about whether he plays or not, breida is being ranked quite lower than the others, BUT if for some reason we find out early that he IS playing it’s possible he moves up to near c.davis territory, but even then my guess is this answer is c.davis. FP’s top 30 PPR flex rankers say it’s c.davis > henry > fitz for sure (henry/fitz back to back actually)

    • MB

      MB says:
      (link)

They’re all bums but Henry has the hot hand so Henry

  14. Abe Froman says:
    (link)

Can you rank Damien Williams, Boyd, or Jarvis Landry? Need 2 in a standard league for the semis

-Ware is out, but hearing West is going to get touches (8-12 per one source)
-Boyd has a nice matchup, but Jeff Driskel
-Landry has gone off the last 2 weeks, but with a slightly concerning target share

    Thoughts?

  15. Ron P says:
    (link)

This is for everything. I had Keenan Allen and now I need to swing for the fences to give my team a fighting chance. Who has the higher ceiling in each matchup?

    1) Kittle vs SEA or Gronk vs PITT?
    2) A. Jones vs CHI or Miller vs NYJ?

    Thanks!
