What’s going on everyone, and welcome to the first week of the fantasy playoffs! If you care about this post, congratulations on making it into the first round! I apologize for not being able to release my Week 13 Start/Sit post, as I was dealing with a family issue, but MB did a fantastic job, so I don’t think we missed a beat!
Below are my rankings for Week 14, so enjoy!
And like always, be sure to check out Rudy’s fantastic premium tools here, and follow myself, MB, and Jay on Twitter.
In the meantime, I’ll be back on Saturday for the fourteenth edition of my 2018 Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em series!

You left Jaylen Samuels out of your ppr flex rankings
@Mike: Issue with FP, fixing it now
I have Engram in the IR spot but he has a Q right now instead of an O so I can’t make any moves. I have a first round bye, so looking towards weeks 15 and 16. Is an upgrade (I think) from Houston D to Jax D from the waiver wire worth it to drop any of the following players so that I can make the switch?
Engram (2nd TE with Gronk as first who is Q), Humphries, Robinson II, Reynolds, Godwin, Carson, Coleman, Richard.
@miles proudfoot: HOU (6) and JAX (5) overall D’s for real life at this point so it’d have to do with matchups, JAX has better matchups ROS, but HOU has been a far better fantasy D thus far.
@miles proudfoot: I’d drop Richard, but I don’t think it’s a necessity that you have to drop the Hou D. They’re playing well
deep ass dynasty 20 teamer. QB rule is you can have as many from one real life team and up to 1 from a 2nd (IR guys don’t count against this). i recently traded cousins + lat murray for DJ + bortles (only since opp would’ve had to drop bortles anyway, we knew he’d lose his job soon likely after this, meanwhile i couldn’t drop bortles for somebody else as the week goff had a bye i had to start bortles (his last start), thus i got beat to 2 or 3 other new starters). have goff/bortles. should i drop bortles for butt fumble (sanchez) or j.johnson or just hold bortles?
@And Now the Jon Lovitz Dancers!: I hear ya. I would drop Bortles for Johnson, even though I’m not expecting much from him.
Dude, Sutton is a beast, no? Are you moving him up to the number 1 WR slot in your ranks now? Sander’s was just playing because the Bronco’s owner likes Colonel Sanders, and he confused Emanuel Sanders with the old chicken sandwich dude. I’m assuming you have just been Christmas shopping, and haven’t been able to make the change, right? I have to eat a donut, goodbye. Eat a donut, to.
@Carter Page: Yeah, Sutton is a great player. Fantasy ranks post got submitted before the news of Sanders, I’ll make the changes and move Sutton up
I need 2 for PPR. Tyler Boyd, Spencer Ware, Antonio Callaway, Dante Pettis, or Zay Jones. Right now I’m not sure if I can trust Boyd or Ware in tough matchups for the playoffs. Boyd without Dalton and Green I think will have difficult time getting open against a good chargers secondary, while Ware did not show a whole lot against a week raiders D last week and now he gets a tough Baltimore front.
@Rick: I think your best bets are Pettis and Jones, especially with the release of Kelvin Benjamin
Need some flex help: Have to choose from Fitz, Josh Gordon, Jared Cook, or Jordan Howard (keeping in mind I am already starting Tarik Cohen). 1/2 point PPR. Any gut feelings beyond the rankings?
@mike: Also, what’s your thoughts on Jaylen Samuels? Better than the other flex options listed above? (1/2 PPR)
@mike: I’d go with Gordon this week. I really like Samuels as well, but I don’t think he’s the best option out of everyone else. You’ve got a stacked lineup if you can only choose one of these players for your flex!
Awesome stuff. 2 questions for ya, as my 11-1 team in a 16-league .5ppr team has some tough decisions for Round 1 of the Playoffs:
1) Starting Davante and Gordon; at WR3, do I roll dice on Keke, Gallup or Daesean? Dropped Enunwa and Crabtree…
2) Starting McCaffery, but for RB2, RB3, TE and Flex, choose 4:
Ekeler
Justin Jackson
Josh Adams
Mack
Jaylen
Njoku
thanks!
