What are you ranking? Everything! You get a ranking, you get a ranking, everybody gets a ranking! You’ll find my Standard, Half-PPR, and PPR rankings below.

What are my rankings bona fidas? Well, there’s finishing in the FantasyPros Top-10 Draft Accuracy (7th Place) in 2017, Top-25 Weekly Accuracy (23rd Place) in 2017, Top-5 Draft Accuracy (3rd place) in 2016, Top-10 Weekly Accuracy (10th Place) in 2016, Top-25 Weekly Accuracy in 2015 (21st Place) and on average we’ve finished in the Top-10 Draft Accuracy (9th Overall) and the Top-20 Weekly Accuracy (18th Overall) for the past four years and finished 30th overall for our Draft Rankings with a 32nd overall finish in Weekly just last season. And this is out of over 100+ industry sites and experts year-after-year. I’d like to think we’re pretty good at this stuff…

What does the word bona fidas mean? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, bo·na fi·des ˌbō-nə-ˈfī-ˌdēz , ÷ˈbō-nə-ˌfīdz means 1 : good faith : sincerity, 2 : the fact of being genuine —often plural in construction, 3 : evidence of one’s good faith or genuineness —often plural in construction, 4 : evidence of one’s qualifications or achievements —often plural in construction. On a separate note, I think it would make a great name for a cat.

What’s my ranking process? I’ve actually written about this in the past, and instead of working hard for new and enlightening content, I have chosen the more efficient (lazy, ahem) method and dropping in a link to that post here. Honestly, my process hasn’t changed much at all (the ole “don’t fix what ain’t broke” proverb comes to mind) and so my “A Day in the Life of a Fantasy Football Ranker” story still remains relevant to this day. (The TL;DR is: I’m lazy as fudge. Well, I mean the other “f” word, but I’m hungry.)

How should I use your rankings? The same way your mother does. Which actually makes no sense. (Unless your mother is in the running to always finish top-3 in your Fantasy Football league. And if that’s the case, say hello to her for me.)

Was just offered Brissett for Brees in a 2QB league (playoffs start week 13). Take it or leave it? My other QBs are Taystee Taysom Hill and Kyler Murray.

Thanks for your rankings! Always look forward to them!
    Trying to add a rb.
I have Conner, White, Coleman, Penny,Mostert. WRs are Allen, Godwin, t. Lockett, D.J. Moore, T. Williams. Trade T. Lockett and Coleman to obtain S. Michel if I can? Or should I offer a different wr?
    Thanks.

      Thanks Steve!

Yeah, I’m fine with that trade for Michel. I might try to get a “serviceable depth” type of player on the cheap to get thrown in, but as is works.

Drop 1: Dede, Will Fuller, Gallup, Scary Terry,

Any chance it’s worth risking Michel over Bell this week in .5 ppr?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

I think it’s tough on the second one, but generally I play it safe. For the drop, I think I like Dede the least from that group.

Feeling Robinson there. Actually, really love that matchup against Ravens this week for the entire offense.

      Jay says:

Not sure you need Rivers, but I think he’s probably a good functional piece… I’m okay with the names exchanging. Are you getting Rivers thrown in or is that going to cost more?

  6. Luke says:

    Jay,

I was offered Mahomes and Nick Chubb for Brady/Smith-Shuster and James white in my PPR league.

    What would you advise?

    Thanks.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

I really like Mahomes this week, so if you can make that trade before the game starts to nab those stats, I’m okay with it.

12 team standard scoring for Q’s.
    Matt Ryan or Josh Allen?

    • Jay

      Jay says:

      Leaning Ryan slightly this week.

  8. Charles Parton says:
    (link)

Rudy is much higher on Gore. Thoughts there? I picked him uo on both my teams and have him starting over Kirk on one and Mack on another.

    • The Harrow says:
      (link)

his bot likely assumes singletary is just out, which is fairly likely at this point.

      • Charles Parton says:
        (link)

So Gore is a safe bet even over Mack?

        • Jay

          Jay says:
          (link)

I still like Mack over Gore, even with the Singletary thing.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

I’m kinda meh on Gore, but Rudy’s projections sometimes sees something in these types of cases.

  9. ryguy_4 says:

I drafted Mayfield around the 10th round and grabbed Brady in the late rounds just because I’m a NE Homer. Well, I have effectively made Brady my starter going forward and traded Mayfield for D. Freeman. How would you rate that move?

    • The Harrow says:
      (link)

brady at that price doesn’t make you be overvaluing him from fandom. i’ve seen people do that stuff in FAR earlier rounds from stuff like that. move seems fine, thusly mayfield hasn’t been too much. you got a free possibly valuable RB (not so much yet of course, and ito stealing stuff from him)

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

I think we’ll need to wait and see, but the trade was a good one! I do like Mayfiled, but Freeman should hold the fort.

    Hey Jay!

Quick trade questions for a 12 team 0.5 per league! 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 flex.

    1) I’m getting a little antsy about Josh Jacobs.I know it’s early but how would you rank Josh Jacobs, Joe Mixon, David Montgomery, and Sony michael ROS? Looking to see if I should maybe move him for any of them. And are they pretty close you think overall or does joe mixon still rank far away at the top?

    2) same question as above but with Aaron Jones, esp with the recent splits with Williams

    3) what are your thoughts on mike Evans? I’m thinking of packaging Kupp + Hyde + Royce for essentially Evans + Fodder

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      1) I’d probably say Mixon, Michael, Montgomery, Jacaps, but they are kinda clumped close. Mixon isn’t as far ahead as you think though.

      2) I’d put Jones behind Mixon there.

      3) I like that deal for you. Still love Evans.

  11. Steve says:
    (link)

Who is better for bench player ROS? M. Brown or T. Coleman? Do you think Coleman returns to his role or will Mostert cut into it? I’m trying to acquire Brown in a swap for Coleman.

    • Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:
      (link)

“coleman’s role” wasn’t really for sure pretty set, he’ll probably be close to what he was thought to be thought when healthy. if you have gurley this is easy yes though. if you’d almost never start healthy coleman anyway this is probably yes. i have a similar issue like you, i want to WW j.allen (some idiot dropped him) to pair with goff and have coleman/mal brown/gore, which to drop for j.allen is my bag. coleman i just added from FA when some other idiot dropped him.

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

I think Coleman is a safe bet for what he is.

  12. PhilOssie says:
    (link)

Surprised to see Breida so high above Mostert. Is Breida a hold right now (he’s me rb2 in PPR with Singletary as backup), or would you package him with Gordon, Landry or McLaurIn to try to upgrade that rb2 spot?

Also, if I stick with that roster, need 2 of those 3 wrs at flex. They’re all lumped together in the rankings, any special feeling for any of them this week?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

Yeah, he’s a hold for the moment. Obviously always be fishing for upgrades, and I’m totally find with you dangling him.

  13. Principal Blackman says:
    (link)

Always love your rankings. Thanks for getting them out there every week. Would you drop Dede for Mecole Hardman, Deebo Samuel, Philip Dorsett, Cortland Sutton, Robby Anderson, or Randall Cobb? It’s a 1/2ppr league. And I am pretty thin at WR; my other receivers are Thielen, Hilton, and Ridley. I have another roster spot I can play with so I could potentially add two of those guys.

Also, are you concerned at all about OJ Howard going forward, and at what point do you cut bait there?

    • Jay

      Jay says:
      (link)

      Glad to read, thanks!

I’d try Hardman there. And for Howard, hold onto him for two more starts. If he puts up a couple more eggs, I think it’s safe to move on.

    hey jay,

long time fan and follower. Need help this week deciding on two wrs out of 4 possibilities.
Cooks/Gordon/DJ moore/ fuller. Pick two. Im 0-2 gotta have this win so looking for upside. Who do I go with???

I hear ya, 0-3 is a tough climb for anyone. I like Cooks and Gordon here, good luck!
