Another week down! We got some good ones for the Thanksgiving lineup, though, and I, for one, am grateful for them. It felt like every game was better than the last (except for the Monday Night game that we’ll get into in a second), and there isn’t much more you can ask for than that. Maybe I’m just getting sentimental in my old(er) age, but there are not many things that beat eating too much food, putting back some adult beverages, and watching the National Football League with family.

This next week’s lineup might not have the same feel to it, but there are some good games on the horizon. Speaking of which, let’s start getting into this week’s Fantasy Stacks by taking a look back at how last week’s stacks fared!

Looking Back at Week 12 Fantasy Stacks

The first two Fantasy Stacks from last week were both a part of the aforementioned Monday Night game, and it was tough to watch. Neither of the quarterbacks playing was worth starting this week. Justin Fields scored a measly 10.58 points, but at least he broke the 10-point barrier, as Dobbs finished at 8.5 points. Luckily, the receivers in these stacks would have at least helped. DJ Moore scored 22.4 PPR points after receiving 13 targets that he turned into 11 catches and 114 yards. TJ Hockenson, on the other hand, was saved by a last-minute touchdown, the only one of the entire game, and scored 16 PPR points. To quote Chernobyl, “Not great. Not terrible.”

The third Fantasy Stack hit like clockwork, as Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb blew up this last week. The dynamic duo is in the top three at their given positions and crushed it again this last week. Granted, Lamb got saved with a late touchdown, but he still had nine targets and scored a solid 17.3 PPR points. Dak Prescott, on the other hand, smashed the day, scoring an impressive 32.24 points after throwing for 331 yards, four touchdowns, and scoring on a two-point conversion. It feels like you could start this stack every week moving forward, to be honest, but let’s talk about some other ones that you should be targeting for Week 13.

Kenny Pickett and Pat Freiermuth

Here is a deep stack that I did not think I would mention again this season: Kenny Pickett and Pat Freiermuth. The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense has been, to say the least, abysmal. Kenny Pickett is QB27 on the year right now and has averaged less than 10 PPG. I’m almost talking myself out of the first of the Fantasy Stacks here just reviewing Pickett’s year so far. That’s why this is a deep track, though. I mentioned last week that the Steelers finally fired their offensive coordinator, Matt Canada, and even one week into the change, there are reasons to be hopeful. Pickett threw for a season-high 278 yards for starters. That might seem like a low bar, but that’s the reality of how low it’s been for them this season.

Another reason to be hopeful is the second half of this stack, Pat Freiermuth. The young tight end was Pickett’s favorite target, throwing to him for a team-high 11 times. Freiermuth turned those targets into nine receptions for 120 yards, gaining 21 PPR points, marking the second time in his career that he’s broken twenty points in a game. Finally healthy now, Freiermuth should begin to capitalize as he helps his young quarterback grow this season.

Finally, there’s the fact that the Steelers are facing the Arizona Cardinals, which is just one more reason to be excited for Pickett and Freiermuth this week. Granted, the Cardinals have been middling against opposing tight ends, but they have allowed quarterbacks to have their way with them. Plus, the best tight ends that the Cardinals have faced have been Mark Andrews and George Kittle. Beyond that, there hasn’t been much competition. Expect Freiermuth to be Pickett’s favorite target again and for them to meet this week’s Fantasy Stacks expectations of being a top combo.

Week 10 Air Yards Report | Tank Dell

C.J. Stroud and Tank Dell

There are few quarterbacks that have looked as complete as C.J. Stroud has his first season in the NFL, and his favorite target over the last few weeks, Tank Dell, has been a sensation all his own. Stroud is QB6 and is averaging nearly twenty PPG. He has broken 300 yards passing six times and has thrown a touchdown in every game except for two. Stroud has attempted 30 passes minimum in every game but two, as well. A few weeks ago, he broke Andrew Luck’s rookie single-game record for most passing yards, and Stroud is on his way to beating Luck’s rookie season record. Needless to say, Stroud is a safe pick to make in this stack.

It’s the other half of the stack, Dell, that I have some concerns over, but that has nothing to do with Dell himself. This week is going to be a tough matchup for the young receiver going up against the Denver Bronco’s secondary. However, I fully expect him to rise to the occasion. Dell has been the recipient of double-digit targets in three of the last four games and has scored a touchdown at least once in each of those games. He is WR16 on the year and is averaging 16.4 PPR points per game, and should be looking to add to those numbers this coming week.

Tyreek Hill

Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill

The third installment of this week’s Fantasy Stacks is a revisit of a stack from weeks past: Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill. To kick things off, let’s take a look at Tua, who is coming off of his worst performance of the year so far, scoring a sorrowful 9.82 points. However, that was against a stout Jets’ defense who have shown up for every game against opposing offenses. Even with this blemish on his record, Tua is averaging 18.3 PPG and is QB12 on the year. These are solid numbers that you can expect from him every week. Tua has thrown for multiple touchdowns in six games this season and I expect him to do so again against the Washington Commanders defense.

Tyreek Hill is the WR1 on the year and has scored twenty points or more in every game except for three so far this season. That’s ridiculous output that he’s been able to maintain, and while you would think that this has to be unsustainable, I don’t see him slowing down this season. The speedy wide receiver has put up over a hundred yards every week except for four times. Hill has also scored a touchdown at least once in every game except for two. He is averaging ten targets a game and I don’t see this changing this coming week against a poor Commanders’ secondary.

You may have noticed this by now, but I have been targeting the Commanders’ defense throughout this season, especially the last few weeks. This is because of how many points they are allowing to defenders while still being able to stay in the games themselves, causing the scores to be as high as they are. While Tyreek and Tua may be starters every week regardless of the situation, it’s moments like these that you don’t want to pass on when it comes to stacking for fantasy purposes.
