Another week of football means another week of Fantasy Stacks! We will break down some stacks that you should be targeting to get the most out of your fantasy football production. This week has some interesting lineups for us to exploit, and it should pay dividends in the long run. Before we get into this week’s lineups, let’s take a look back at how we did last week.

Looking Back at Week 13 Fantasy Stacks

The first stack of Kenny Pickett and Pat Freiermuth hit a wall early as Picket left the game in the 2nd quarter with an injury and didn’t return. Up until that point, Pickett had completed seven of ten passes for 70 yards and 3.1 total points on the day. Freiermuth finished the day with 5.9 points on five targets. Needless to say, this stack did not meet expectations.

The second of last week’s Fantasy Stacks faced another injury as Tank Dell fractured his fibula and is now on IR, causing him to finish the day with zero points. CJ Stroud went on to have a decent day, completing 16 of 27 passing attempts for 274 yards and a touchdown. However, with Dell’s injury and Stroud’s 16.06 points, this stack did not meet expectations, either.

The third stack of Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill was a solid hit, though, as the Miami Dolphins hammered the Washington Commanders last weekend. Tua only needed 24 passing attempts to throw for 280 yards and two touchdowns, scoring a total of 19.2 points. Hill didn’t lead the team in receptions, but he did lead the team in receiving yards, as he had 157 of Tua’s passing yards and scored both touchdowns. He finished with a whopping 32.3 points on the day.

Week 2 Streamers and Stashes | Zay Flowers

Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers

The first of our Fantasy Stacks is going to start with revisiting the QB10 on the year, Lamar Jackson. Jackson is averaging 18.9 PPG this year, which is a solid stat line for any quarterback. The dynamic quarterback is able to put up points through the air and on the ground with his legs. Jackson leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards with 574 yards and has averaged 47.8 yards per game. He has become more efficient in the passing game as well, completing 68.3% of his passing attempts and with only 5 interceptions on the year. Jackson faces an exploitable defense in the Los Angeles Rams, and I am expecting the game to turn into a bit of a shootout, which should be good for Jackson.

My only real concern about this stack is the receiving portion with Zay Flowers. This is not to say I am worried about Zay as a player; quite the opposite. Flowers is one of my favorite plays every week. The issue is that the Ravens do not pass nearly as much as you would hope, bringing down the number of targets that Flowers could be expecting. However, even with a limited number of targets, Flowers has made the most out of what has been given to him. The reason I like Flowers this week, though, is because after Mark Andrews went down with an injury, Flowers led the team in targets the following week. I expect that trend to continue this week and for Zay to have another big game.

Weekly Rankings for Fantasy Football, Week 4 | Sam LaPorta

Jared Goff and Sam LaPorta

There are a couple of directions I thought about going with this next set of Fantasy Stacks in terms of targets on the same team. However, I felt this was the perfect time to hit up a QB/TE stack. So far, my pre-season prediction of Jared Goff being a QB1 is right in line with his production, as he is QB12 on the year with an easy schedule the rest of the way. Goff has averaged 18 PPG this season, which is, again, very solid for what you would hope to get out of your starting quarterback. What is more is that he has been highly efficient with the ball, completing 67.7% of his attempts and throwing for a 20 to 8, TD:INT ratio. Goff has thrown for at least one touchdown or more in every game except for one so far this year, as well.

Sam LaPorta has been an incredible surprise this year. The “don’t play rookie tight ends” crowd is foaming at the mouth, myself included. LaPorta is TE3 on the year and is averaging an impressive 14.3 PPR points per game. He has averaged just over seven targets per game as well, breaking the ten-target mark three times. Last week had LaPorta hitting a season-high of 29 points when he caught all nine of his targets for 140 yards and a touchdown. He has been a TE1 every week so far this season except for four times. Even then, his worst finish was as TE18. The rookie tight end is a force to be reckoned with on a football field and should continue to have great success moving forward.

The Detroit Lions face the Chicago Bears this week, which should mean a good matchup for Goff and LaPorta.

Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen

QB6 and WR2 on the year are this week’s final Fantasy Stack. Justin Herbert has been dealing this season, putting up an average of 19.8 PPG. What is more impressive is the fact that he has scored 20 or more points in eight games this year, especially given the fact that he has faced a brutal schedule. Herbert has made at least 30 attempts in every game except for one and has completed 65.6% of his attempts throughout the season.

On the flip side of this stack is the man, the myth, the legend: Keenan Allen. The 31-year-old receiver has averaged 22.2 PPR points per game and is on track to break 300 total points this season. He is averaging 11.5 targets per game, having received double-digit targets in seven games so far this season and solidifying himself as Herbert’s favorite target. This week is going to be a tough assignment for Allen, as he is going up against the Denver Broncos cornerbacks. However, with Patrick Surtain dealing with a knee injury from last week, I like Allen’s odds to continue his impressive campaign with solid numbers this coming week.
