Another week of football means another week of Fantasy Stacks! We will break down some stacks that you should be targeting to get the most out of your fantasy football production. You might be out of the playoffs, but there is still fantasy football to be played. The party does not have to come to an end: there’s always Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS)! And with DFS comes stacks, which is where we come in. Before we get into the three new stacks for this coming week, though, let us look back at how we fared last week.

Looking Back at Week 15 Fantasy Stacks

The first stack of last week we looked at was Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua, and we got half of it right. Matt Stafford was a solid play, coming in at 18.52 points from 25 completions for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Puka, on the other hand, was the wrong receiver to ride with; with his 10.3 points, he was the third-best receiver on his team.

The second of our Fantasy Stacks from last week hit, as Brock Purdy and Deebo Samuel both had big games over 20 points. Purdy had 242 yards and 4 total touchdowns, two of which went to Samuel. Deebo, on the other hand, only secured four receptions for 48 yards, but those touchdowns helped put him over the edge of his competition, and hopefully yours as well.

Finally, there was Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown. Jalen Hurts put up numbers on the ground, ending up with 82 yards and two touchdowns. However, through the air, he only had 143 yards and ended up throwing two interceptions. Brown suffered on this side of things, only securing five of his ten targets, which shows that the volume was there but that they were just unable to connect.

Week 10 Trade Targets | DK Metcalf

Geno Smith and DK Metcalf

The first of our Fantasy Stacks is going to be a quarterback who did not play last week and a giant of a receiver: Geno Smith and DK Metcalf. To start with, we should acknowledge that Geno hasn’t had the great year that many of us were expecting from him. After his injury that has held him out the last couple of weeks, he is now QB18 on the year. Smith has averaged 15.1 points so far this year with four games below double-digit points. That said, his last game was against the Dallas Cowboys, and he put up 30.96 points. In that game, he put up 23 completions for 334 yards and three touchdowns. Now, the Tennessee Titans that he faces this week are not the Cowboys, and I don’t expect him to have to throw quite as much to keep up with them. However, I do think they will give him a run for his money, and he’ll have to throw to keep up.

On the other side of this stack is Metcalf. This beast of a man should be a bigger household name than he is, but he was starting to get the recognition of his starting quarterback. The previous seven games that he had played in with Geno Smith had Metcalf averaging over nine targets a game. During that time frame, Metcalf was also WR11 and was averaging 15.6 PPR points per game. And all that was with missing one game in there. Plugging in his average on that missed game would have put him at WR8 over that stretch. All of this is to say that Metcalf and Smith were having some great chemistry until the groin injury derailed Smith the last couple of weeks. I expect them to pick up where they left off and to have a great Week 15.

Week 11 Air Yards Report | Mike Evans

Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans

The next set of Fantasy Stacks is going to come from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans. Mayfield has not had the greatest season, but he has maintained being a high-end QB2. He has had his ups and downs, but he has taken care of the ball and made the best of what he has available to him. Mayfield has the best weapons he has had the privilege of playing with, which might say a thing or two as to why he is playing so well. He has thrown at least one touchdown every week except for one, back in Week 6. Since that time, he has been QB7 and is averaging 18.1 PPG. I am expecting Baker and company to have a big game this week against an exploitable Jacksonville Jaguars defense.

While Baker should have a good game, I believe Mike Evans to have a big one. This is purely speculation, but it was as if the team was trying to get Evans his 1000 yards for the tenth time in his career. In the past couple of games since then, he has had 12 targets that he has turned into five receptions for 65 yards. It also appears that they began to lean more on their other weapons, such as Chris Godwin. It makes sense that they would give Evans a bit of a break with the playoffs in sight, and they are on target for those playoffs. The Buccaneers are tied with the Saints for the NFC South division title, and a win this week will help put them in a position to take destiny into their hands for the rest of the regular season. Which is why I am expecting Evans to be a big part of the offense this coming week. Plug and play, and get excited for him to go off against those Jaguars.

Rest of Season Rankings Week 13 NFL | Justin Jefferson

Nick Mullens and Justin Jefferson

Finally, we have the Minnesota Vikings and their top duo: Nick Mullens and Justin Jefferson. I will admit this one is a bit of a dart throw, but hear me out. I am sure we have all seen the graphics showing that Nick Mullens’ first 16 games have him on track with names such as Andrew Luck, Justin Herbert, and Joe Namath. I am also sure that I do not have to try to convince you that he is not of that quality of play. However, there is something to be said about how much he likes to air it out. Will the Minnesota Vikings win off his arm? Probably not, but you have a great chance of winning your matchups! Last week, Mullens had his first start for the Vikings and put up over 19 points. I fully expect him to continue this trend and put up big points against the Detroit Lions this coming Sunday.

On the other side of this is the Vikings’ top receiver, arguably the top receiver in the game, Justin Jefferson. Jefferson has missed most of the season after suffering an injury against the Kansas City Chiefs back in Week 5. Until that point, though, Jefferson was averaging 25.83 PPR points per game. This last week was his first full game since then. He put up a solid 15.4 points off of ten targets that he turned into seven receptions for 84 scoreless yards. This was a trial run for Mullens and Jefferson to get their chemistry going with one another. I fully expect them to make a stronger connection this coming week, especially with their own division title on the line against the Lions. Do not be timid, and play them both in a great matchup that should have the chance to hear the Gjallarhorn at least a couple of times.
