Whether you’re looking to find the right stack to help you win your championship, or you’re trying to find a leg up in DFS, we got your back. Before we get into the stacks you should be targeting this week, let’s take a look back at last week’s Fantasy Stacks.

It is Week 17, which means it is championship week! The playoffs are ramping up this week as everyone is beginning to see who will have the bragging rights for the rest of the offseason as they crush their competition’s hopes and dreams. Okay, maybe that is a bit over the top, but you know that it is how everyone is looking at this week that is still in it.

Looking Back at Week 16 Fantasy Stacks

The first stack of Geno Smith and DK Metcalf was all right, although nothing to write home about. Geno has a decent day with 25 completions for 227 yards and two touchdowns, which came up to a total of 17.28 points. Metcalf did not get the bulk of receptions like Lockett did, but he did have a touchdown that saved his day, as he finished with 15.6 PPR points.

The next stack of Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans was a solid hit, with both scoring near or over twenty points. Baker had 26 completions for 283 yards and two touchdowns, finishing with a total of 19.82 points. On the other side of the stack, Evans finished with seven receptions for 86 yards, and he caught both of Mayfield’s touchdown passes for a total of 27.6 points.

Finally, there was Nick Mullens and Justin Jefferson, which was another solid play. Mullens finished the day with over 400 yards and two touchdowns for a total of 20.54, at least in leagues that don’t count interceptions against you. On the other side of things was Justin Jefferson, who scored 26.1 points off of six receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown.

Week 9 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire | Trey Mcbride

Kyler Murray and Trey McBride

Enough of the past. Let’s get into the now! Let’s first look at how Kyler Murray and Trey McBride are doing since Murray came back from his injury.  Since coming back in Week 10, Murray has made his presence felt in the fantasy world as he does. He is QB13 in that time frame, and if you extrapolated his average over that time to account for the bye week, Murray would be QB8. Even without that extrapolation, his average of 18.2 points is something that fantasy players can rely on, especially this week, going up against the Philadelphia Eagles. I am expecting it to either be a shoot out or else for there to be a lot of garbage time for Kyler Murray to expand upon his already solid numbers.

On the other side of the first of our Fantasy Stacks is Trey McBride, who has been dominating since Murray has come back. Since Week 10, McBride has scored more than double the points of any other receiver on the Arizona Cardinals. Granted, it’s a fairly small sample size, but that is an impressive ratio with which he is producing compared to his teammates. McBride leads the team in average targets, as well, sitting at 8.8 targets per game since Murray’s return. When compared to the other tight ends in the league over that period of time, McBride is leading all of them in average points with 15.9 PPR points and is sitting at TE5. He has broken 20 points three times this season, and I expect him to have another good chance to break that mark this week against the Eagles, who have been susceptible to tight ends in fantasy this year.

Russell Wilson and Courtland Sutton

The next of our Fantasy Stacks includes a couple of players whom we have visited before: Russell Wilson and Courtland Sutton. The Denver Broncos have had an up-and-down season that made it so fantasy players were not sure if they could trust Wilson. However, he has quietly had a QB1 kind of season and is sitting at QB9 overall right now. Russell has thrown at least one touchdown in every single game this year and has had a decent 66.4% completion rate. This efficiency has been key since he hasn’t been throwing for as many yards per game, let alone making as many attempts. However, being at home this week against a division rival that can move the ball down the field, I am expecting Wilson to have an above-average performance as he attempts to keep up.

Looking at which of Wilson’s counterparts to go with, it is easy to see that Courtland Sutton is the guy you want. This will all be contingent on him clearing the concussion protocol after leaving the game early last week with a head injury. However, if he does play, he is an easy plug-and-play. Sutton has not broken 20 points yet in a game, but he has been close a few times, and I have a feeling this could be the week that he breaks that mark. The last time that he faced off against the Los Angeles Chargers a couple of weeks ago, he ended the game with 15.2 PPR points. Now, as long as he can clear the protocol, I am expecting him to have a big game.

5 Wide Receiver Fades

Brock Purdy and Deebo Samuel

It was just two weeks ago that we used this Fantasy Stack, but the matchup against the Washington Commanders is too good to pass up. Brock Purdy had a rough game last Monday, facing off against the Baltimore Ravens, and most of the team reflected on that struggle. After throwing four interceptions and being the recipient of a stinger, Purdy watched the rest of the game from the sideline as Sam Darnold came in to finish the contest. It was only the second time that Purdy didn’t throw a touchdown in a game this season. However, I expect him to bounce back this week, going up against the Washington Commanders.

Deebo Samuel is the other half of this stack, and he should be primed for another big game. In Week 15 when we had him as a Fantasy Stack going up against the Arizona Cardinals, Samuel had redeemed himself by scoring over twenty points. While last week was a rough one, I am expecting some redemption to be happening again this week. Deebo has scored more than 20 points in four out of the last five games, two of those going for over thirty points. The only concern I have for this stack is there is a chance that the game gets so out of hand for Washington that it becomes the Christian McCaffrey Show. Still, I expect Deebo and Purdy to be a part of the game and to put up big numbers before they turn to a run-only offense.
