Who are these guys? I’ll tell you exactly who they are. These guys are the players that no one else wants. The players that just sit on your waiver wire week after week, ignored for the trending players of the week. I bet more people picked up Thomas Rawls, James White and Dorial Green-Beckham last week than any of the following undesirable players. But that begs the question, what is your definition of “desirable”? Do you find 189.16 points desirable? If you don’t, I think you might need a new TI-84 and dose of reality. I currently sit in first place in the Razzball Writers league with a record of 9-1. Over those ten games I have averaged 133 points with a margin of victory of 26.8 points. 189.16 points is a little more than 56 points more than my weekly average. These half ass lineups that most of us wouldn’t consider starting even if we were told included players that were going to have a good week, are practically unbeatable.

Kirk Cousins – I’ve lost track of how many times Cousins has been featured in this series. Actually this is his third appearance. In his two previous I stated that I have no interest in owning him. Not even a four touchdown, 324 yard performance was able to change my stance on Cousins. He had a great game, but it came against the Saints. Their defense sucks. Especially against opposing quarterbacks in which they were giving up over 300 passing yards per game coming into this one. Kirk has had some good games, but there are just too many better options ahead of him.

Matt Jones – After week two’s big game in which he rushed for 123 yards and scored 2 touchdowns, Jones has all but disappeared from fantasy relevance. By week four I was over the disappointment of losing out on him on the waiver wire. Last week he carried the ball 11 times for 56 yards. He also had 3 catches for another 131 yards and a touchdown. That’s 187 yards from scrimmage. Do I wish I owned him now? Nope. I would never have started him last week and I don’t know when I would moving forward. The RB shituation in Washington is uninspiring. And let’s not forget which defense Jones faced last week.

Andre Ellington – I’m not sure if there has been a player that has disappointed me more than Ellington has over the last two seasons. He was supposed to be a PPR stud. Instead he is currently the handcuff to Chris Johnson. Really? On Sunday, the Duke of Ellington rushed for 61 yards on just 5 carries (12.2 YPC) and managed to find the end zone. On the season he is averaging 7.6 yards per carry over 29 carries. Why can’t CJ1K just go away and let Andre be a giant. I still like Ellington, but am leery of his week to week output.

Doug Baldwin – Is a bald win when a guy with no hair suddenly grows a full head of hair? Or is it when he finishes in first place in some sort of contest. Doug had just his second good game of the season. Two out of nine are not very good odds. Unless I am desperate, I am looking elsewhere.

Dwayne Harris – Harris does nothing for me. While he did catch 6 of 9 targets for 82 yards and a score, I just cannot endorse him. Even with Victor Cruz set to have season ending surgery, I don’t think you can rely on Harris’s lack of consistency.

Zach Miller – It was Miller time in Chicago last week. For a guy practically unowned across all leagues, he put up a heck of fantasy game last week. Miller caught all five of his targets for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns. But it was his 87-yard score that made his stat line. Take that away and his numbers are pedestrian. And considering his spot in the depth chart behind a more talented Martellus Bennett, I think you can figure out what my advice is for Miller going forward.

Brent Celek – If only Celek and Ertz could merge into one player. Would it be Brent Ertz or Zach Celek? Celek caught 4 passes for 134 yards. That was 63 yards more than he had all season. Heck coming into this game he had only received 9 targets. Ertz is the tight end to own in Philly if someone is forcing you to roster a Eagle tight end. Otherwise, I am staying away. Ertz hasn’t found the end zone once this season.

Another week, another winning team scraped together off the waiver wire.
