Knile Davis is getting some real love from Andy Reid these days. Maybe it was all those layers he had to work through? Maybe it’s because the Chiefs are a lock for the playoffs? I don’t really care, it’s here and it’s real. Reid acknowledges that Knile needs more touches and after last weeks audition I would have a hard time arguing against that. Our valiant leader Sky wrote about Knile already once this week, so at least we know that I really know how to suck up to the boss. Great job Sky! Looking good in that new mock turtle neck! The Chiefs offense is like small ball in baseball, mostly because Smith can’t throw farther than 20 yards, or so it appears, and like to pound it out and dump passes to the closest guy in a red and white jersey. I know I might be exaggerating a little here, but I have my reasons…Whiskey. If Knile gets his shot this week, and I’m 99% sure we see 15 touches from Knile, then what we got here might be a winner. The Broncos lost to the Chargers so the door is open and I think the Chiefs come out and knock the crap out of the Raiders. This leads to Davis getting those touches as they run it out against the Raiders and also evaluate a weapon that has been under utilized. Like Sky said, he’s a flex play this week in PPR formats and is probably in a better UPSIDE position than those with a better floor. Next week is the more ideal, but I could see him getting some run.

You might not be in the championship and you might be playing for pride….you always should play for pride. Regardless of where you are, players are still good to stash and use. Here’s a few others that might make some week 15, 16 and 17 play.

Marcel Reece – with Jennings cleared to play it puts Reece in a bad spot. But like anyone who has come off a concussion knows, he can exit again just as easily. Reece looked nice vs. the 3rd best rush defense last week gaining 123 yards on 19 carries for a 6.5 YPC with a TD. Last week it was suppose to be him and Taiwan Jones filling in for the injured Raiders, but it was really just the Marcel Reece show.  I guess we never know what a coach will do. BTW, Reese is huge, do we have a Glossary term for huge running backs like Reece and Andre Brown?

Denard Robinson – Another one in the grab and stash model. I am really curious as to how the Jags are going to use him and I keep hearing his name thrown around as a candidate. Jones Drew might be out this week with hammy issues and Todman, who’s coming off a shoulder injury, is finally a full participant as of Thursday. He’s a grab and stash but again so is everyone else here.

James Starks – This guy is actually a possible play this week. Lacy has a bum ankle and any sign of real injury cold lead to a little shut down or possibly some time share. Many think Starks is a flex play this week and I have to agree with them. He is also a candidate to get some love going forward. I think Lacy might get an early vacation pass but he also might try and finish the year out to get his OROY award.  Either way, Starks is a great stash and a plug in play in some situations and formats.

Daniel Thomas – He looked great last week filling in for the concussed Lamar Miller and should be getting steady touches going forward. Now if he actually gets those touches depends on Miller and the coaching staff of the Dolphins. Miller was cleared to play this week but I have a hunch that Thomas will be used in the tune of 12-15 touches. On the year Thomas has averaged 4.1 YPC and in games where he gets 9 or more carries has averaged a whopping 5.1 YPC. The last time the Dolphins played the Pats he carried 9 times for 47 yards. Couple that with Miller’s 18 carries and 89 yards in that game and the Dolphins had a nice rushing day vs. the Pats. I like him as a flex this week if you’re in need.

Chris Ogbonnaya – PPR league players have hopefully already grabbed Ogbonnaya and have him stashed after the McGahee injury. If you haven’t yet then go grab him right now….it’s ok we’ll wait for you. OK, good to have you back. Here is the deal with Ogbonnaya, he has had some nice PPR games already this year and is averaging 5.3 YPC on the season. If you have him then your flex is where he needs to hang out. You never know how a guy will perform as a starter but I’m willing to take the gamble and roll him out for the playoffs.

Good luck to my 12 readers in your playoff matchups this week. I’ll be rooting for you all as I owe you for reading my drivel week after week.
