Once every few generations, something truly life changing comes along: the wheel, written language, electricity, the internet, 5-ply toilet paper, and now THE RAZZBOWL. What’s The RazzBowl and who the hell gave this donkey a computer? I’m glad you asked random italicized voice.

What: A large fantasy football better ball tournament, with an overall champion, which will forever transform the landscape of the fantasy football world.

Who: Scores of your favorite fantasy football analysts, with a sprinkling of fans. Participating analysts include Razzball’s own Rudy Gamble, The Athletic’s Jake Ciely and Michael Salfino, Yahoo’s Andy Behrens, Brad Evans, and Dalton Del Don, plus many, many more!

Where: The National Fantasy Football Championship (NFFC) has very graciously offered to host this contest on their beautiful, state of the art platform using a slightly modified version of their Cutline Championship.

Why: To crown the best fantasy footballer in the universe and win life-altering prizes.

When: Slow drafts featuring a 4-hour clock are tentatively scheduled to begin at NFFC during the last week of July.

How: If you’re interested in participating, fill out this quick application.

Format: Better Ball Tournament: A version of best ball which features minimal weekly FAAB ($10 per team for the entire season with a minimum of $1 bids) to prevent teams from dying off. Managers will compete in 12-team leagues for the first nine weeks of the season, with the top 3 teams from each league advancing to the RazzBowl Championship Bracket and the next 3 highest scoring teams in each league advancing to the RazzBowl Wild Card Bracket. The bottom half of each league will be eliminated at the end of week 9. Are you confused yet? Good!

Round 1: Weeks 10-12 (scores combined for those 3 weeks + weekly scoring average from Weeks 1-9)

The top 25% scoring RazzBowl Championship Bracket teams after Week 12 advance to Week 13; all other teams from the Championship bracket move to the Wild Card bracket. The top 5% scoring Wild Card teams move up to the Championship bracket; the next 40% advance in the Wild Card bracket. All other teams in the Wild Card bracket are eliminated.

Round 2: Week 13 (take each team’s weekly scoring average from Weeks 1-9, plus weekly playoff scoring average, plus your score from Week 13)

The 60% scoring RazzBowl Championship Bracket teams advance; all other teams move to the Wild Card bracket. The top 2% scoring RazzBowl Wild Card teams move up to the Championship bracket; the next 20% advance in the Wild Card bracket. All other teams in the Wild Card bracket are eliminated.

Round 3: Week 14 (take each team’s weekly scoring average from Weeks 1-9, plus weekly playoff scoring average, plus your score from Week 14)

The 50% scoring RazzBowl Championship Bracket teams advance; all others move to the Wild Card bracket. The top 3% scoring RazzBowl Wild Card teams move up to the Championship bracket; the next 30% advance in the Wild Card bracket. All other teams in the Wild Card bracket are eliminated

Round 4: Week 15 (take each team’s weekly scoring average from Weeks 1-9, plus weekly playoff scoring average, plus your score from Week 15)

The top 9 scoring RazzBowl Championship Bracket teams advance; all others move to the Wild Card bracket. The top scoring (1) RazzBowl Wild Card team moves up to the RazzBowl Championship Bracket; the next 20% advance in the RazzBowl Wild Card bracket. All other teams in the Wild Card bracket are eliminated.

Final Round: Week 16 (take each team’s weekly scoring average from Weeks 1-9, plus weekly playoff scoring average, plus your score from Week 16)

10 teams compete in the RazzBowl Championship Bracket for the overall title of best fantasy footballer in the universe. The remaining Wild Card teams compete in the RazzBowl Wild Card Bracket for a consolation prize. PLEASE NOTE: In the event of a tie for teams to advance to the next round in either the Championship or Wild Card rounds, all tied scores at the cutline will advance. All of the percentages above may be adjusted depending on final number of entries.

Roster Positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex (RB, WR, TE), 11 Bench

Lineup Submission: Leagues will have an optimal scoring format (best ball) for Weeks 1 through 9 where your highest scoring player from each of the 9 starting positions is scored at the end of each week. Then in the RazzBowl Championship Round and RazzBowl Wild Card Tiers of Weeks 10 through 16, all owners must set their starting lineup each week. This is different from the regular season.
